FlightSim Junkies is a growing community of DCS enthusiasts of all skill levels. Looking for more people to fly in our weekly missions. We are super laid back, talk DCS throughout the week, and are just looking to have fun. We fly group missions every Friday night at 8:00EST. We have a dedicated training /mission server and use SRS for in-misison comms. We are happy to help set anyone up with SRS who has never used it before. How it works: We have a weekly signup where you tell the mission builders what you want to fly and what role you want (e.g., CAP, SEAD, Strike, etc.) and then we build our weekly mission around who signed up. Missions are usually 1.5 hours. If this interests you, please join our discord server: https://discord.gg/nygqQjUA Happy flying, Callsign "Maryland"

Sorry to interrupt the PTO assets announcement party, but I have a question regarding the save mission scripting function. With the use of the "world.getPersistenceData(name)" function will it be possible to extract the state of the player aircraft from a saved mission file? From what i understood from the function description it will be possible to fly to a border of a map, save the mission, load a new mission in a nem map, recover the state of the aircraft and continue mission. If that's the case, it would be possible to make missions between adjoining maps. For mission creation, it would add a new layer of challenge and immersion. What are the parameters extracted from the persistance json? Fuel, armament, damage state?

If you look at my video, the HUD has thinner lines than the GIFs at lower resolutions. The GIFs are still thick. The only module that was not affected was the Mirage 2000C.

F4u campaign .trk I removed all curves & saturation points , but I can't figure out why I'm still having problems with the campaign instructions advancing. Here's a track of mission one.

This report confirms my observations with the use of A2A TACAN function, which wasn't working in MP in the Phantom during one of my latest flights. My aircraft was F-4 with me as pilot and another player as WSO. Other aircraft was a F-14, human controlled pilot and Jester as RIO. We weren't able to get it work, even after 10 minutes of struggling around with that, and finally being shot down because 3 heads were totally stuck in the cockpit finally finding out it didn't work ...

AGM-45: No tone, no track. What is wrong?
FatwaAgainstFlattops replied to FatwaAgainstFlattops's topic in Bugs & Problems
Okay, now I'm on an MP server and am having no problems finding SA-3's with 49.1 warheads from 40mi away. Definitely a QAG issue. -
Hi Kurisu. This is exactly how i reversed my Cockpit master cdu 737 ( usbpcap etc. ) Winwing seems to be much more complicated. And i had no clue on what was going on. Now that i see in the C# code Font management, USB data stream , Initialization sequence, etc ... Without knowing the the "protocol" I'm afraid it's not that simple. it seems to use a message / stream usb (i'll look again at my USB complete book fifth edition) By the way since few minutes, i'm testing the v0-alpha of my bridge between DCSbios and the Mcdu ( key binding left to DCS ) , and it's looking good. And i have no code that explains how to communicate with mcdu as i use the mcu-dotnet lib on High level !

My genius is frightening, sometimes in a positive way, sometimes in a negative way. Thanks for pointing that out, I forgot about that. Stupid me copied the file from a buddy. Attached is a track. I align south to north. I can handoff my mavs. Then I turn to the left, and fly in from the west. The target is offset to the left, the maverick points to a point south of the target. Handoff kinda works at larger distances, but not a bit closer, because the lateral offset becomes too large. I fly over the target, come in from the east, and target is now offset to the right, maverick still points south. I come in from the south, I can handoff. So the mav doesn't have an angular offset but an offset in north / south / east / west direction which would explain why people like me that align mavs on their way in, usually in a different direction as the final attack, almost never are able to handoff, and other people never have this issue. It should be an angular offset, like always 0.003 degrees to the left and 0.05 degrees up, or probably depend on range since TGP and mavs aren't in the same axis. It should not be "always south". Drop me a line if I messed up the track, I think it worked now. Maverick_test_boresight.trk

New questions about processors: i5 14600K and 9900X
mkel2010 replied to talvikko's topic in PC Hardware and Related Software
That CPU apparently has 24 PCie lanes, so coupled with the right motherboard, you should be able to have one nVMe and still take full advantage of 16 lanes for graphics. And with the AMD AM5 socket you'd be able to eventually upgrade the CPU without needing to change out the motherboard. -
You can pretty quickly ascertain the value of a presentation by asking yourself if it's meant to please shareholders or end-users. So far, it's always the former. If AI were so game changing, it wouldn't be getting integrated into software before asking an end-user base. Dotcom all over again.

Since the release of the free DCS: Marianas WWII map and the Magnitude 3 DCS: F4U-1D Corsair, we want to provide an update on the extensive effort being devoted to bringing this scenario to life with the PTO Assets Pack. Learning from some of the European Theatre of War scenarios, the PTO scenario is focused on providing an extensive order of battle for both US and Imperial Japanese forces in the summer of 1944 and to offer an accurate representation of the battle for the Mariana Islands and the Battle of the Philippine Sea. New player aircraft coming for this scenario will include both the F6F-3 Hellcat and the A6M5 Zero. Since our last update on this project, we can now share with you the specific air, land, and sea units being developed for the PTO Assets Pack, which owners of the existing World War II Assets Pack will be able to purchase with a 30% discount: As always, subject to change. AGM-45: No tone, no track. What is wrong?
FatwaAgainstFlattops replied to FatwaAgainstFlattops's topic in Bugs & Problems
Decided to run the HB Wilder Than Weasels instant action mission and had no issue finding, tracking, and killing an SA-3. Decided to do another round with the QAG mission and the SA-3 attack failed again. Decided to attack an SA-2 instead and still no dice even with 22 seeker head. Might just be a QAG issue. mk22ARM_notone_notrack.trk - Today

New questions about processors: i5 14600K and 9900X
talvikko replied to talvikko's topic in PC Hardware and Related Software
Thanks for the advice and replies, and for saving me from making a bad purchase. I agree that buying the 9900X would be pointless. But now I'm considering another processor: 7800X3D (4,2-5,0 GHz). Maybe that would be a better choice? Considering the price-to-performance ratio, it looks interesting.
