Too me it looks like this is actually a misinterpretation of genuine exploitation problem for non-overhauled aircrafts (true for both GDR and YU Fulcrums) vs original design and state of aircrafts. Modeling the exploitation fault as design flaw is wrong and is not supported with the actual technical documentation. Instead the electronics aging effects should be modeled as a fault which can be ticked in mission editor for those who want to really feel how it feels to fly and fight in broken aircraft. E.g. this includes other failures, like radar range degradation, which in case of L-18 was 20-30km in 1999 (I have a direct statement of a pilot comparing the state of aircraft when they were in good condition and later when the electronics started to break down). Some of us prefer historic context, in which you fly the aircraft with such failures, but the majority of the player base actually want the aircrafts that behave according to the specs when they were new.
  3. First, as a pilot, you should not rely on Jester. What you need to do if you get a GCI call, do a mental Bullseye Breakdown. Basically getting the position of the bogey relative to your position. If it is a BRAA call, the process is easier. If the call is a Bullseye, you should practice gaining a comprehensive perspective in your mind. Then, you initially turn to a basic intercept heading, and after that, direct Jester where to point the radar.   4. True, but come on…it basically lacks the TACAN, IFF and radio. Only some of the german MiGs received GPS also (as far as I understand). So it is very close to the version we have in DCS now.

Ces dernières semaines au niveau effectif on a enregistré juste quelques départs mais par contre pas mal d'arrivées ainsi que quelques mutations internes Déjà votre serviteur a quitté l'escadrille OH-58 pour reprendre le lead de nos Mi-24P alors que quelques jours plus tard c'est un équipage complet sur OH-58 qui postulait chez nous Notre escadrille HOG sur A-10CII est maintenant complète, 5 pilotes actifs ! Top Au niveau de nos activités : - Nous avons démarré une nouvelle multitraining les lundis sur la carte Caucase et nous sommes déjà en préparation sur 2 autres multitraining (Germany et Sinaï) pour l'année 2026. - Notre calendrier mission est full jusque décembre 2025, de quoi nous occuper chaque jeudi soir jusqu'à la fin de l'année. On continue évidemment également nos 2 campagnes Dynamiques (Poupoule du Désert sur SYRIE et Hydra sur CHYPRE). Au niveau Recrutement - Vu notre effectif qui s'est étoffé, les places disponibles deviennent de plus en plus rare.   10. This is the most important change needed for the F-35. I honestly see the F-35 as a means to find major platform updates. It has to be better than it is now.

  12. hello. change your dcs shortcut to run from the BIN folder. not BIn-MT. doubt it will help but who knows 2025-09-23 07:07:09.082 INFO APP (Main): Command line: "E:\DCS World\bin-mt\DCS.exe" --restarted if that does not fix it, rename the folder c:/users/wexle/saved games/dcs/ to c:/users/wexle/saved games/dcs.bak/ and retry. a new vanilla folder will be created. if game starts, then you can get control bindings back. maybe some corruption is that folder.

  15. Can't some skilled modders or coders get an "ICE" upgrade to an F version? Is it possible to obtain somekind of APG-6X? from the F-15C (APG 63), for example, and AMRAAM? The cockpit layout and the majority of the switches would remain largely unchanged. Therefore, there are not many graphic changes, such as those seen in the cockpit of a Greek F-4 Peace Icarus. Details like the unusable 7th fuel cell or not implementing the Peace Rhine system are negligible, I guess. I think there is no need for a complete new model, just an "Avionics update."".
  16. Приветствую. Вопрос касаемый АП на Фулкруме - при включении АП, самолёт испытывает амплитудные колебания, на разных скоростях, как до 600км/ч, так и свыше. При этом в логе обновления пишут что эту проблему вроде поправили. Так же на стримах вижу, что так не болтает у людей, на АП. Модуль последней версии, ставил уже после последнего обновления. Может у кого есть мысли на этот счет?

  18. Yeah, and they released a whole document too which holds multiple documents regarding the seeker itself from early development stages(why they chose this and that) to late production(tests). Along with meetings with americans throughout these, from comparing to the sparrow E and to the F in clutter, noise, MLC rejections, seeker ranges etc and mentions of the M but sadly nothing as the M was still in early development but they knew it was a slotted array antenna with 4channels for monopulse tracking.
  19. null1. 'normal view' shows (a bit faint) the HMD centre is about 20 degrees off the horizon, too high. 2. Altered view, with the Quest 3 black interface removed so that the lens unit can be swivelled down, bringing the HMD to the correct azimuth. Note: this has no effect on the head position. Head (and VR headset) remains in same position when you tilt down the lens unit, ony the HMD display moves. This is why changing the cockpit camera vew settings will not cure this problem. Flying in a darkened room without the interface attached is not so much of a problem, but when you have light streaming in a lot of the immersion is lost. I am purchasing a different silicpne interfact to see if that improves things, but what would be good is an aligment setting in-game to resolve this problem. It's probably not a widespread issue amongst many headset brands, but its challenging for Quest 3 users - one of the most widely used cost-effective headsets currently in the market.

I sort of had this bug a few different ways having gone through the prescribed started up procedure: - the first time, was when i was using VIACOM and Voice attack, and forgot that the Salute trigger does not work when using VIACOM (dumb me) - the second time, i used a mapped button for a salute, but I waited, to move until i had fully finished my ground checks, a little while after the Graphic shows the Yellow shirt saying ready to taxi... and Olive gets hung up in the same way - similarly, if you don't taxi until Olive is taxing her and the S3 and you all seem to end up in a deadlock ... - the only reliable way to ensure that it all works, that i can see is that as soon as you get the yellow shirt image, start your taxi request, then it all seems to go fine this sort of clashes with a note in the briefing document which implies you should wait for Olive to take off before you Taxi... side note 1 (in all cases the Yellow shirt image is with you right up until just after the cat launch) which is a bit ... "irritating" visually, as the image blocks sight to taxi directors side note 2 we seem to wait a long time for the launch of Switchblade, with power down except battery ( because we don't permission from the ground crew because they are dealing with the Buccaneers) so no power to comms ... but we still get the Switch Blade comms but not the AirBoss comms to Switchblade..
  22. As far as I know, the MiG 23 marks the target with a dot. Will this feature be available on the MiG 29, or is it not available at all?
  23. As I see in your mission the beacons are switched off. Activate the beacons as described in the opening post of this thread.
  24. Can anyone check - I can't ATM - if the problem is only there when using QuadViews? So if Secondary shadows on and quadviews off - does it still crash?
