Maybe one of the DCS Team can answer that and why the DCS Trains fly when Deactivated ?
-
True words. I´m currently switching in our squadron missions as suited between Hornet, Viper, Phantom. In my single player campaigns I´m actually focused on Huey, P51, Viper and Phantom. And I´m prepairing for my RAG in the Tomcat. In my Hanger there are several other Birds waiting, like Viggen, Corsair (can´t play it atm) and the Apache. I want it all!

Four? Where’d that go so fast? Should be ‘Mid-Access’ by now then? Happy Annie I s’pose
-
Yay! In another 2 weeks we can celebrate that the Mosquito has been 4 years in Early Access since its release. Happy Anniversary !!

Missing texture SAAF skin "Spectre" on the CE

Hi @Bremspropeller I'll have a look into it for you.... -
Hippo started following Logical saving of map visible area in ME and planner
-
Sorry if I've missed something here, but does anyone how the saving of the visible area of the map works? It seems that whenever you click save, the area that is visible is what comes up when the mission is loaded into the ME the next time. But what if you subsquently work in another resolution or aspect ratio? Then it doesn't appear to be. Wouldn't it be preferable for either the selected vertical or horizontal extent to be saved and then presented no matter in which res or ar the mission is reloaded? And what about what is presented in the mission planner to the player when they load the mission. I can't see any logic to that at all. Surely this should be definable by the mission creator? I find that I can be working in the ME, click the launch mission icon, go into the mission planner, find that the extents are different, and then if I exit back into the ME, the extents have now changed to be the same as what I saw in the planner. Why?

I tested a mod that does the job a while ago, but for some reason it prevented the keyboard commands from being used to “move the yellow text” (aka use hotas or other commands to navigate the communication menu), so that’s why I know it exists, but I didn’t end up using it myself. Glad you found one!

Does the train come with a litening targeting pod?
-
Are flechettes and/or MPSM planned? What about just a rocket zone interface for the loadout menu? My recollection is that they were announced initially (both in the roadmap thread and the initial early access guide), but I see no mention of them presently. Nobody officially has commented that they HAVE been removed or 'We're having a hard time getting literature on them' or anything like... Is there anything you can say about these? EDIT: Or for that matter, the smoke marker rockets (to be clear: smoke rockets used for actually marking targets for other forces, rather than just training rockets with a little 'hit indicator' smoke warhead)

Is it possible the folks who think "it barely does over 200mph" don't realize the speed gauge is in knots? Just want to edit to add I've tried a few engine settings at different altitudes: 2,500ft all they way up through 15,000 ft and even with some blower management I can't seen to get an unarmed, trimmed F4U much over 260 knots. About 300mph. It also appears that "Combat Power" - 7000rpm at 52"- runs for about 15 minutes before the engine quits (at 10,000ft). Not sure if others results vary or if this is pretty much the norm. Sorry if I'm beating a dead horse.. this is an interesting read. It showed engines were getting over 400mph with "combat overload" weights. Also that the "combat power" runs about 15mins so the developers hit the mark on that one. https://www.wwiiaircraftperformance.com/wwiiaircraftperformance.org/f4u/f4u-1-50030-final.pdf

The Issue for the original post was that I need to remove residual files NOT removed by removing a commercial module through the DCS World dialogs.

I do have win 11. I gave online a shot. I tried halfganistan first on TTI but it ran out of time. Then switched to PG TTI. I probably got close to 20 min of up time and then the display froze. DCS was still running and functional on a core level. I could hear all my inputs working and the sim running but the display was frozen then after a bit dropped back to the pimax play home screen was very laggy. But dcs was still running... I killed dcs with end task. It never officially crashed. any clues in this log file? dcs.log

Bumping again, still would like to have this option so multiple vehicles aren't just sitting in the open waiting to get picked off.

Is the D9 the best kept secret in Warbird Simming?
Stevecat replied to Stevecat's topic in DCS: Fw 190 D-9 Dora
LOL Edum. Never had that yet. Have enough of that happening over at F4U. But I will take back what I said about the dog fighting. It's not exactly easy against spits and 51's. My K4 still seems to be better at that. Alas, nothing is perfect. -
Major Maciej “Slab” Krakowian, died when his F-16C crashed during a rehearsal for the Radom Air Show on August 28, 2025, in central Poland. Krakowian was the leader of the Polish Air Force Tiger Demo Team. This is a video I put together to honor Major Krakowian flying his F-16 and to remember him for what he loved so much!. This is nothing fancy but rather to the point and to a pilot who I always enjoyed watching. Godspeed "Slab" ~A~ ------------------------------------------ Music credits: ~Hotel California ~Stairway To Heaven ----------------------------------------- Take 20 minutes of your life, grab a snack, kick it back and enjoy the video and most of all watch in 4K and crank up your sound.

Und ohne Tank ... tja, wie hieß es immer so schön in unseren Briefings für die NATO: "The FULCRUM is the ideal point defender, as long as the point to defend is the own air base."

Just experienced this bug today. Came here to figure out why.
