  1. Past hour
  2. Steike eagle is such a fun bird. What bombs and how many you want sir? Yes please. I fly mostly short bits between obligations. So a quick dogfight in. MiG-15, a rescue in a huey, things like that. Sadly haven't got the time to truly get to grips with some of the more intricate birds like phantom, viggen or apache.
  3. You get to where the getting is good and the you get it! Get it?
  4. Hi, we are unable to reproduce and all seems normal here. Please include a track replay next time it happens so we can check yours. But most likely there is a bindings issue. thank you
  5. Polish and GDR bare metal are for sure. But the camo ones are technically fictional since by that time the 17/Lim5 was converted to a Fighter Bomber with a slightly different cockpit, no radar, and different gunsight. Also had permanent ub16-57 rocket pods mounted.
  6. True, a DCS-inspired patch would definitely feel more meaningful than just a plain logo.
  7. I am happy to look into it, but I need data, dcs logs from the session, track replays, dxdiag. Without it we could spend all year guessing. thank you
  8. Hi, we have made a report for the team internally. thank you
  9. Hi, please include a dcs log so we can look for clues. Run a slow repair of DCS and remove all unofficial mods if any, go to saved games dcs folder and delete metashader2 and fxo folders. restart dcs and test, let us know if it helps thank you
  10. Yeah, maybe I went a bit overboard having that Eagle tattoed on my forehead. Kind offer OP .
  11. Зенитно - артиллерийский комплекс C - RAM "Centurion" (США). Рассматриваем, читаем характеристики. Смотреть видео.
  12. Mainly Strike Eagle. A bit of Apache from time-to-time.
  13. I’d still like some flares for our wooden wonder. Not bell-bottomed jobbies from the 70s but Target Indicators. The wipers have never been connected either. The animation’s working and can be seen and used in the model viewer but since she rolled out of the shed, we’re wiperless wonders. Come on team, give her some love, please .
  14. I too, am curious.
  15. I am also eager to have usable direction finding navigation in the MiG-21bis throughout all the DCS maps. It would also be nice to have a unified downloadable PDF for documentation which makes clear all needed in-cockpit configuration for each transmitting station and map. I was flying in Sinai today attempting to use the R_NAV_data_SinaiMap.lua as a guide but not having much luck finding a station at the Egyptian airfield Wadi Abu Rish. I would like it if we can have some facility to navigate on each map via both RSBN and ADF beacons.
  16. Mine doesn’t. Quite the opposite actually. Maybe, I missed something. Care to elaborate your “various reasons”?
  17. Very quick test for the CH-47. No colors / No special font
  18. Today
  19. Slippa

    Extend west

    Ooh, lovely Splitty
  20. Yeah, also works for me. Looks like user error with your procedure. I would suggest following the procedure described in our manual step by step and if it doesnt work still, you can provide a track file or video or just write down a list of your steps so others can check what you might be missing
  21. You would need to properly put out the fire. I am not aware of a way to trigger this magically. Fire goes out when you repair the aircraft (maybe this can be triggered?) or fly fast enough for some time (practice testing: around 10-15s at 0.8 - 1.0 mach). Depends on a lot of conditions of course. Shutting the engine down will not help a lot because once there is a fire it will burn through the engine and set other parts on fire as well. It does not need the fuel to continue burning. It can help in the early stages of some fires when you only got an OVERHEAT but no FIRE lamp and potentially also only see smoke instead of fire coming out of the engines.
  22. I was listening to something the other day and learnt that on the flight Dimbleby flew and reported on, his Pilot was Gibbo. I’ll have to read Enemy Coast Ahead again for a refresher. He should never have been asked to even begin forming 617 when he was asked to. He’d done more than enough already and was pretty battered. Amazing what some of those fellas went through. Looking through the thread a bit, just reposting this one (with gunners ). Best regards team
  23. Once I was over the target (on time and altitude) and realised that I couldn't do a thing. Called it a rage quit
  24. Not only for the Viper. The Phantom as a weasel, F18 and F14 from the carriers, theoretically the Strike Eagle (damn it!) and of course the Warthogs, Apaches and even some redfor stuff. There is so much potential!
  25. After summer vacation, i returned to my rig only to find that problem is back...but for now i can't fix problem of DCS showing on wrong screen no matter what i try..
  26. BUMP Related to this… I’ve created a mission whereby the user experiences an engine fire on takeoff. I’d like to make it so that, if the user completes the correct actions, the fire is contained . By using a “trigger” I can time the start of the fire perfectly. I can also trigger additional problems if the user “flips the wrong switch”. However, I can’t find a way, through triggers or otherwise, to stop the fire from “spreading”. Right now it just keeps burning, even after shutting down the related engine and it will eventually end up resulting in a catastrophic event. Is there a way to “stop” or “undo” an active failure? Can it be done by scripting and if so, how would one go about that?
