In your OP you said "we need cold war trainers" I responded that perhaps you meant to say that "you" wish for additional trainers. I (and many community members with me) don't need any more cold war trainers in DCS and rather see the effort spend elsewhere. No forum rules broken as far as I can tell. Good luck with your wish mate

Jef Costello started following Aileron Position after C&D

А если полет на/от РСБН и ЗК вручную? Как я понял, о полете по азимуту РСБН изначально вопрошали.

The yellow needle on the HSI continuously rotates.
BIGNEWY replied to KenanMusazadeh's topic in Bugs and Problems
Hi be sure to set is RSBN or ADF to a proper channel, with either selected and not valid channel, it will spin. thank you -
correct as is Aileron Position after C&D
Jef Costello replied to NoPro's topic in DCS: MiG-29A Fulcrum
Hi NoPro could you give us a line number please? -
That's to prevent it from wacking your cat. Just tape over or fill the holes with silicon. Or do as I did. Open the grip and remove the sensor. If you don't want to cut the cables, you must open the base as well. I have five of them, and none of them has broken. None of them are the "red" version. So no sticky rubber too. Which happened to my MS mouse, which is going on 27 years and still strong apart from the rubber issue, which was fixed with Autoglym rubber fix.

Ok Thanks. The initial video had a high pitch sound that sounded more in par with smaller props with faster rpm such king air or similars than the what I used to hear from the C-130, however its is true that I am more used to the older variants of the Herc and that may explain the difference. Anyway mine was a comment from a video and if you have recorded the sounds from the real airplane that answers my question and I do stand corrected. Thanks!! Looking forward for its release

How to locate ADF frequencies on the map?
Michael-Fr replied to Michael-Fr's topic in DCS: MiG-29A Fulcrum
Thank you very much, if I understand correctly they work in pairs, and only one is active depending on the wind direction, which determines the active runway for landing?Do ADF frequencies correspond to the VOR frequencies of the airfields? -
Hi, we have no way to know if this is from a 9.12A or not, please dm me if you have any other evidence thank you

Это применимо только для посадочного курса . При полете на запрограммированный ППМ только одна толстая стрелка. Но принцип двойных поправок все равно остается.

Props to whoever came up with that backstory. Very nice.

DCS MiG-29A Flight performance and air drag seems weird
BIGNEWY replied to HoMeBoY's topic in DCS: MiG-29A Fulcrum
Hi, takeoff and landing schedule the leading edge flaps differently. -
I did not know that. Do you know what this means practically? Are there effects that can't be simulated by the Direct X drivers, or is this an advantage? Being supported by Direct X explains why it has such wide software adoption, but if it's a limited toolset to work with then it might cause it to have lower fidelity FFB. If the newer sticks have higher fidelity FFB effects that might be the motivation I need to finally retire the old girl...

The map MFD has been broken for... 4 years now? They just don´t care.

How to locate ADF frequencies on the map?
Akiazusa replied to Michael-Fr's topic in DCS: MiG-29A Fulcrum
They are INNER OUTTER NDBs Also if u want to find ADF(NDB) stations away from airport, they are usually icons like this on the map(usually ended by Khz) VOR works if ur equipment support ADF in VOR bandwidth (108.0 MHz to 117.95 MHz)(I'm not a 29 pro so not sure about this for Mig29,afaik only few aircraft in DCS have raidos support this....) -
Really you had one die on you? Was it a Red Button Version? Mine has been bulletproof, and it has tens of thousands of hours on it at this point. The twist died within years of me getting it, but I don't like twist axis on joysticks anyway. I'd be willing to buy a replacement and retire it (strongly considered the Moza,) but there is really no replacement for it. If you want desktop Force Feedback without having to mount your controller, your choices are Red Button Sidewinder FFB, or a bunch of far inferior options that are just as old. I've heard some talk on forums about this being because of a patent troll, but I'm guessing the Sidewinder was just a weird product. It's also the reason that FFB is so widely supported in software, so you are welcome.

Reshade VR Enhancer Mod (VREM)
mkel2010 replied to lefuneste01's topic in Utility/Program Mods for DCS World
The second check box was Techniques Only For VR Views. With both of them checked, Reshade didn't work for me, although it could also be that I wasn't running in Mirrored mode. I found a user who had created a preset for Reshade in the 2D mode that created the visor effect using Shadows, Midtones, Highlights and Contrast, Brightness and Saturation effects. I don't see those listed on the Home tab. Here is the preset file from his mod in case you're interested. Edit: I found the link to the Reshade shaders used in the mod. https://github.com/prod80/prod80-ReShade-Repository Could the two mentioned be modifed to work in VR? PLASMA_PRESET.ini
