  1. Past hour
  2. Looking forward to these too for the DC-10...
  3. Its unfortunately the DCS ecosphere, too many projects with too little recourses available with the ED std line it will be circled back to when recourse's allow.
  4. It is true that planning a mission even just for one’s own flight, let alone for several, and thinking about the bigger picture is not to everyone’s taste, and it limits the number of players interested in the campaign. On the other hand, it has been nice to see that there is interest in this as well.
  5. This came up as being something that was desired, part of the issue I believe is that there are scripts when the aircraft loads in, particularly when manned, that set up all of the various arguments. That loadup activity overrides the custom args, as Yae tried similar in the Tomcat to hide the RIO. They may work with a static aircraft but they don't work with AI or manned, it would take a deeper approach to allow those args to be overriden after the aircraft loads in. Or that's what I recall from when we last brought it up.
  6. Found that out RE: the User/Input folders. Then how do they get there in the first place? Bowie So you are suggesting to just rename the "files" w/in the user/input folders, and not the folders themselves. Is that correct? And would this address the missing briefing/load screen image, that is correctly in the Program Files/.../Mods/aircraft/P-51D/Skins/1/ME folder? Bowie
  7. Some of the members of my Apache squadron are experiencing major frame drop when looking in the direction of the Russian S-350 assets. As in, the units are 50 miles away and through mountains, but when looking in their direction the frames drop into the teens. I personally don't have the issue, but several others do. One of them flew a Hornet tonight and didn't experience any frame drop, then got back into the Apache and had the same issue again. Is anyone else experiencing something like this, either in the Apache or otherwise?
  8. I would like to see this as well, probably wont happen due to people not doing many night flights "BuT mUH JhMcS". I also had my nods set up higher then the center of my eyes that way I still had plenty of aided vision looking forward and still be able to look down and see things clearly.
  9. A-4E-C: Main Tires Coefficient of Friction The Differential Breaking/Nose Wheel Castering is much improved. Great work, DevComm. Wondering if the Tire Friction Coefficient shouldn't be a little higher though, maybe 20-30%. Seems to want to skid around the flight deck at just a bit over pedestrian speeds. Not unmanageable, once the envelope is understood. Just seems a little fussy, especially when maneuvering w/ Differential Breaking/Nose Wheel Castering in tight spots, lacking the toe-bar guidance from the deck crew. Great li'l Scooter. Bowie
  10. @BIGNEWY Big news, if possible, could you ask the team to add the shortcut to the MiG-29A Fulcrum in the user files in the units tab at launch? So that users can add their missions there and filter them correctly. Thank you very much!
  11. In which case I would use IAS and kts, because kts is what's actually on the dial, and I believe it's what the original POH used.
  12. Today
  13. Other obvious talents aside, those screenies are absolutely superb!
  14. Well, I tried the no fuel engine malfunction as well and the engine rpm gauges in the plane were still reading an engine RPM, about 30-35% at 300 knots. ChatGPT is not likely to help you here all that much. It's safe to say to that, it is likely that you were in fact windmilling and that provided enough hydraulic pressure until you finally slowed down on the runway since that is when your flight controls stopped working.
  15. Nope, nothing seems to work. I made a separate livery for AI only and tried various values both minus and plus values for the custom args. Pilots visible in external view no matter what. I found args for VR Pilot and VR WSO in the draw args lua but no affect either (I didn't try it in VR though). The pylons removed did work. Here's the complete "custom args": custom_args = { [50] = -0.60, --Pilot removed [308] = -0.60, --Pylon removed [312] = -0.60, --Pylon removed [316] = -0.60, --Pylon removed [512] = 0.6, -- 0 is no mirrors, 0 - 0.4 is both mirrors (mickey mouse) and 0.5+ is top mirror only. [701] = 0.60, --WSO removed [775] = 0.60, --VR Pilot removed [776] = 0.60, --VR WSO removed [2006] = 0.95, --Pilot Helmet, 0.95 is HGU-55 [2016] = 0.26, --Pilot, 0.26 is white male, no mustache [2017] = 0.6, --WSO, 0.6 is black male, no mustache [3004] = -0.60, --Pylon removed [3004] = -0.60, --Pylon removed } name = "USAF_QF-4E-Target Drone_IA Only"
  16. Thank you for your information, I will try it later, but, I actually set engine malfunction, and from F2 view, the engine rpm is 0%. So I guess windmill is not work. I don't know much about electrically driven pump, ChatGPT told me that it will fail soon after engine down. I don't know how long it can support, the start point is 33000 feet in the air, until I landed it, I didn't found any problem about control, maybe 5 minutes.
  17. 1-Set radio to contact Beslan (Caucasus) ATC: R-853 to channel 6 (141MHz) or YADRO-1 to 4750KHz 2-Select R-863 (all left) on SPU-8 3-Contact ATC to request Start-Up 4-SPU-8 "automagically" selects VHF (second position left to right, not functional as by Chuck's Guide) Have to re-select the correct radio before any contact with ATC. DCS 2.9.19.13478 I don't have a log/track file(gave up using the radio, the last one I did has already been overwritten)... if you can't reproduce let me know (so I jump into the chopper and make a new one

  19. ChatGPT and other LLMs are a fantastic tool, but are not a replacement for doing actual research. I personally don't find it overly productive to just copypaste AI-written text on online forums, especially when it's not cited.
  20. Nothing wrong with that, you should try it. Agreed I was just trying to explain that they cannot look the same for every airframe. I would be good with a very simplified version. The same way we have custom effects for the lex vapors on the F-16, F-18. Harrier...
  21. CCIP bombing has been within reasonable drift values again as of last patch by my testing. It is once again more accurate than CCRP (as is expected), but just barely.
  22. .miz updated with the new lua. No changes to anything in the lua script except the commented-out lines with the instructions. It now specifies that you should set the fuel capacity to the internal tank capacity only. No need to touch the lua script if you are only testing the Corsair. You must open the lua file and change the fuel capacity only if you wish to test on another aircraft.

That must have been a truly glorious sound!
