  2. Maybe this is old news, but why does Pimax want to know my location, where my PC is at, at all times when I turn my PC on? The installed Pimax software literary checks my location every single minute my PC is on and online. Every single minute. Why? I came over this just by accident and have now turned off location services from Windows for the time being. I have checked the history for this for the last week now, and only Pimax is listed as a app that checks my location. And it checks this every single minute. Waste of resources, and there's a privacy concern in this too I think. @Calvin.Pimax Why do you need to know this? And why check it for every minute that passes?
  3. Thank you very much @silverdevil ! I couldn't see that in the logs. I'm indeed using reshade to brighten up my exported MFDs - Doing a repair of reshade solved my issue !
  4. Having worked with the map for a while I ran into some question: 1. Will we see a full rework of the Autobahn road system? At the moment it is but a shadow of its original glory and size. 4-8 lane roads with center split being reduced to meager 4 lane with a center line is pathetic. Also seeing the Autobahn runway at Adelsheim that snuck into the ME we have an almost double as wide road with a clear centerline as base (~75ft compared to ~45ft). 2. Would it be possible to link the preadded vehicles (hot-air balloons, military trains, border cars, combines and hovercrafts) to civilian traffic? While they are pretty to look at when flying on an empty map they tend to ruin custom built missions with random clutter that feels very out of place. Especially the hovercrafts and train near Brocken. null

    Little rant

Sorry i use an online translator. Hi If there is something that annoys me, it’s when someone asks for help in the style "Please, i need help" and that responses are given (good or bad), that the same person, who regularly returns to the forum, does not respond even like "thank you, I look at that and come back to you" and well it annoys me to the highest degree. Of course, it may be that the person has barriers but if you click on the name of this person and see that they have come several times to the forum.... Have a good day Christian
  7. Yes me too! Cheers F-4-E landing .trk
  8. I use 4 screen setup in DCS -Video of my problem - something is forcing main DCS game window to move to my monitor#4 Other details in a post
  9. Me lo auguro ma con DCS non metto mai la mano sul fuoco ci sono moduli che sono stati ANNI in procinto di uscire…
  10. - Hummer issue now fixed - On landing player receives ON SCREEN MESSAGE - RETURN TO ORIGINAL PARKING SLOT (19). Thats what its called in the mission editor, does the Incirlk Airport diagram differ? On checking the Airport Diagram is way incomplete. On Airport Diagram PLAYER is located in the GOLF section although it seems unnumbered Thanks for the reports and sorry for the wacky hummer races Regards LG
  11. I’ve used the HP G2 (and the G1 before it) and the PSVR2 and I would say; - Comfort - the G2 is a bit heavier on the face but sits on the head better than the PSVR2, so both have pros and cons, with the globular cluster though the PSVR2 is super comfortable and being light is a big plus - Colours - no doubt better on the PSVR2, OLED is just so much better than LCD when it comes to colour and contrast - Resolution - here the G2 has the PSVR2 beat. The G2 has a higher resolution display and that display is full RGB stripe so things are sharper. Both suffer from having older fresnel lens designs so have relatively narrow sweet spots. - Depth perception - is probably a bit better on the PSVR2 - Performance - now this is a tough one. Because you can run the G2 at 60Hz, and you don’t need to supersample as much without foveated rendering the G2 has better performance. You simply don’t need to pump as many pixels as quickly to get a similarly sharp image. However with dynamic foveated rendering that performance gap can be bridged and overcome. Which is better? Some will say the G2, particularly if sharp image is the priority, for others though the colours and DFR on the PSVR2 will win out.
  12. Are you saying when in TP mode and switching from TP to RL leading it would show aspect arrow? And, a recent video makes it appear that the aspect arrow changes in length. By any chance, do you know if the aspect arrow actually changes length in relation to target speed? It would make sense as there is no other indication of the speed of a locked target.
  13. Still, a real RIO would probably call that out, since this is is closely related to his most important job anyways (maintain situational awareness beyond visual range). Also communication is prime. I think OP doesn't ask for that because it is needed, but because it would be immersive.
  14. Thanks! Very interesting read.
  15. Pilots did get SPO-15 screaming on them with active amraams. There is no doubt of that. It's just enough to read that if anybody is having doubts. In addition, see Mike Shower's interview, on 24.03.1999 he fired: On Nikolic: AIM-120 at 14-15nm, missed Followed by AIM-7, missed, at about 5-6nm Nikolic went into the beam Another AIM-120, once he realized both missed, and that one hit Nikolic (he turned into the Shower) at about 1.5-2nm. On Kulacin ( I will publish this one in a day or 2 but you can hear it in the same interview) AIM-120 at 5nm, missed (on launch both were head to head) and they merged with Shower now in very close proximity to Kulačin Other pilots with working SPOs also reported missiles going active. The only ones that got hit with no reaction were those with failed SPOs. Mainly Iljo Arizanov. See the stories I posted in the sub-forum topics (2nd page) of 29.
  16. Hello Christen Eagle pilots! I wonder if there is any interest from you to take part in a race in Christen Eagles on the Las Vegas Speedway. We have a racing system that allows us to create races on the web, storing results and track the rules Basically the race is setup like in simracing titles - sessions (practice, race), results, and live timing during the race even is active. You can check how our previous races were looking some videos at my yt channel If you would like to take part in such a race please let me know replying in this thread or just hitting a like to this post. If there is enough interest, I'll prepare a tack and set up the event for this in the near future. S!
  17. I had the same problem ending up outside the cockpit. Try scanning your whole room by turning left / right / up / down with your headset on and then recenter VR and then start flying. That helped me to stay within the cockpit (even on a motion rig). Seems like Pimax is adapting tracking / positioning when capturing new objects in the room. Therefore it seems mandatory to make a scanning process before flying...

  19. No, we still need the North. What we have so far is South-West and East.
  20. Tbf the 120s might be fired in STT mode, which RWRs should be able to pick up afaik. Nor does this mean the RWR was the only reason they managed to dodge missiles; pilots IRL are much more aware when they are in dangerous zones and will often go defensive as a precaution. Even with the F4s RWR, you get notified when the frequency of a detected radar changes. That way you can technically tell a lot of the time when a SAM or Fox 1 gets launched, if you were listening. Tho its pretty hard to be attentive enough to spot such a signal. Otherwise the SPO-15 is still an analogue RWR, so might be less evolved than the ALR-45? Wouldnt get my hopes up for it. Personally I hope the strengths and shortcoming are simulated; its already pretty weird how soviet FC3 planes have IRST act like stealth radars, when they had lots of limitations in reality. Imo the wrong logic, DCS is generally about being realistic. If you put an F4 vs a Mig-29, then 'blue suffers' too. Gotta put the planes in the fitting environment and it should be fine. Mig-29A would be 80s. And anyway, 'Redfor' is a made up thing. F16 is one of the most used red planes on those servers, while older settings see lots of Mirage F1s.
  21. I tried it again, with dynamic pause, and the seized option of engine malfunction. Yes, it stop the engine from rolling, and the APU support the hydraulic pressure. But PC-1 and PC-2 read 0. If I move the stick a lot, it will finally run out of pressure, and the aircraft will become a brick fall out of the sky. If engine is not seized, rpm below than 10% will lead to the same thing. However, once the aircraft regain speed during falling, rpm will increase, and regain control again. Now I understood!
  22. For French buyers, if any: https://www.leboncoin.fr/ad/jeux_video/3054472704.
  23. Летать на 5 000 метров и висеть немного разные вещи.
  24. Understood. Glad to hear LOD is coming to all your packs. Any reason why the problem would go away for one player while in the Hornet, then come back again in the Apache? That part is what seemed odd to me.
  25. Hello, Preferably for experimented simmers. It's a Microsoft Sidewinder Force Feedback 2 with the doubled power mod (doubled internal resistors). The FFB motors are powered externally with an included AC 220V DC 24V 5A transformer. The original power supply board in the base of the FFB has been removed (it wasn't powerful enough and got hot). A switch on the base of the FFB allows you to turn the force on/off. Google "DCS MS FFB2 modded stick for you" for the power mod. There's a 20cm carbon fiber tube extension glued on the FFB base and a CH Products Combat Stick at the top. The FFB2's Z-axis rudder is no longer available. The stick can be rotated (and removed but wires cannot be removed) for right- or left-handed use (it's held by friction, but can be glued). There are two USB ports, one for the FFB2 and one for the Combat Stick. Used WIN11 DCS (warbirds and helicopters) and Condor Simulator (gliders). Force and effects can be managed with github joeyjojojunior/simFFB for DCS. In Condor Soaring this can be done in 'setup' without simFFB. The base attachment system is included and can be installed by removing the 3 screws under the base, add second plate, and rescrew with the wooden base on top. FFB2: 8 buttons (4 original on the FFB base, 4 on top of the stick, medium quality), extended slider on the base (throttle, trim, pitch, etc.). FigtherStick: X and Y axes with FFB, trigger (fire), 3 buttons, and 8 hats. Everything works (used for many many hours, now I moved to Rhino FFB) but there will be no support except for quick questions to answer. Asked 110E (50E for FFB2, 50E for FigtherStick, 10E for DC/AC 24V converter) + shipping (EU only) + insurance (5 Kgs). Private sale, no guarantee or return. Regards
  26. Tracking: starts with jitter (the view moving up and down), then usually ending up outside of the cockpit. No delays. If tracking data is somehow captured, i can send it to you. Just let me know how. I have a high contrast backdrop, acoustic panels. This should make things easy, while it doesn't. But please note, only in DCS, not in Pimax Home.
