Is possible achieve 100 score in this mission? Kill the IRGC infantry without loss is quite tricky as the need to respect the JTAC heading slow the engagement process, and the F.-5s, well this is a my natural deficency in the A/A enviroment...

With all due respect to wags, I’m more interested in what the developer says. They have better idea of where they want to take the module in the future.

That would be a false impression. I got the feeling it's not enough of an upgrade to go through the brain damage of getting my sim machine apart, playing musical parts with two different computers, running my powershell scripts to re-set all the controls, etc etc. That doesn't mean I'm not going through the brain damage, just not in the near future and I might wait for the next gen CPUs. I consciously went i9-14 rather than -ultra just because of the gaming reviews. I don't think that's going to fix the stutters. I keep putting off Windows 11 because they've turned harvesting personal data into an art form and I don't have a ready tool to fix that in the registry, but the information here about tweaking it for games has been awesome. Also noodling a PiMaxSuperDuperDeluxeUraniumEdition whatever the latest VR is later this year, so this entire area is priceless. Lots of great information.

FAO - Reflected - WW2 mission footage/documentary
Hawkeye_UK replied to Hawkeye_UK's topic in Reflected Simulations
Yea It was purely for when you have an hour's downtime thought it might interest you, some great shots. Our greatest generation bar none, its when you hear the combat losses at the end, some groups think I heard 9 of 18 returning etc for one mission, then to go and do it all again the day after. B17's that's 90 men, one sortie, one group. -

That's precisely the point I'm trying to make: games are not "full load". Rendering videos, running multicore benchmarks...those load all your cores, and generate max heat. Games shouldn't be generating that much heat at all (hence why I went with an air cooler). So if your CPU is throttling when playing games (DCS does need more CPU than other games), then obviously it's an issue with your thermals, whether it's a defect in your CPU/cooler or improper install is what needs to be diagnosed. I know, what I meant to say was your thread gave Raisuli the (false) impression that 14900k to 9950x3D is a downgrade

Also it’s not “tinted” so much as a surface in the laminations of the glass is a selective reflector of the wavelength of light the HUD CRT emits. So it cuts that green looking through it. And reflects that green hitting it from any white light source. At night it’s dim enough that red light reflects off the normal glass good enough. So bonus you get a red hud at night.

So we're back to my earlier message. That won't really work for MP servers, which in turn don't seem to enable it, so everybody loses. -

Quad-Views-Foveated causes a significant drop in frame rate.
rentreal replied to EX_AI's topic in Virtual Reality
Have you tried to turn DLSS off? The logic is this: like FPS limiter, extra frames by DLSS can cause fps drop. This is an assumption, I have the same problem with fps drop with QVFR on, but I gave up before I tried it. -

Hey, could you send a picture of your Optiscaler configuration, in-game settings, and AMD Software DCS.exe profile settings? -
That one pane of glass is the single most demanding deal with model builders everywhere. EVERYONE has their own idea of how to get it right. Ask any 4 tomcat modelers the best way to do it, you’ll get 6 answers all conflicting.

I have a bass shaker connected to an amp, which is connected a USB sound card. Picked it all up on Amazon a few years ago for a little less than $150 IIRC.

Whoa on the hostility brother. We’re just trying to solve a problem here. All I meant with that comment is I am versed in building PC’s, updating bios and drivers, and generally pretty good at troubleshooting. I know this CPU should be doing a lot better than it is. The 9950X3D is an objectively better CPU than the 14900K. The title represents exactly how I felt and in my first post I even said the uplift in other games was good. also on the thermals, if you do a quick search it says 95C at full load is normal. So I wasn’t quick to follow through with that. My highest is like 90C. Being my first X3D cpu I don’t know what to expect. the other comment you replied too wasn’t me btw.

А да, я не уловил))) (от Airplane Simulation Company). Ну тогда тоже рискованно покупать.

I posted the following as a new post, without realising this post already existed so reposting my own doubts and query here. On paper, the Super with its panels, lenses, eye tracking and audio seems like the ideal headset for Sim VR. I would probably have ordered one were it not for Pimax's poor historical QC record, and the ridiculous order wait time. My other concern is performance. Many YT videos are out stating that the CS can run very well at 72 fps if tweaked e.g. I am currently running my QP, with QV DFR, and am happy that I can finally hold 72 fps at what I consider to be high graphical settings in quite intensive situations (flying low over cities). Forgive me for being sceptical, but I don't believe that setting a 5% peripheral resolution (as stated @ 10:28 in the video) can possibly provide an acceptable visual experience. If my numbers are correct, at the Pimax quality setting (5100 x 4312 per eye), this results in a resolution per eye of 255 x 216 (equiv to running 5% over the entire panel). I am running my Quest Pro at 2704 x 2752 per eye and if I use less that 40% (equivalent 1082 x 1100), the shimmering in the peripheral area becomes too distracting. Even at the said 40% the shimmering from the F-18's engine gauge in the PA, which seems impossible to remove, irks me. I am also very happy with not having to use a face gasket with the QP, and am quite reluctant to go back to the discomfort of using one. So, has anyone out there gone from Quest Pro -> Crystal Super? What's been your experience? Can you run most scenerios at the Pimax quality setting without having to drop to reprojection? No regrets?
