I guess "automated" means something completely different to you than to me. SD wrote they are working on it, but I'm not sure he understood you. I'm pretty sure ED is not working on an "automated" system, I really hope they are not, and rather take the BMS approach. The "automated" SC system sucks. Like @Raven (Elysian Angel) I want an enhanced ATC, not automated at all. In a perfect world we would have something like BeyondATC, and that's why I use VAICOM for the time being, because we have no clue to what the new ATC will come and what it will be like. I really hope it will either include Speech Recognition out of the box, while I'm sure it won't, so my hope it still will be compatible with VAICOM/VoiceAttack even if it's a 3rd party app. You are aware you can assign a hat/(or buttons), to browse the radio menu, that will only work with the menu when it's open? Like your trim hat. Yup, just like we have in BMS. The game handles all that for you in game. No "AI" needed. Cheers!

The changes on the ground bombing are included in today´s patch? I still see a huge inconsistence when bombing. CCIP still falls short like before. CCIP with predesignation feels better , spot on, BUT, it seems only with the first pair of bombs. Repeating the same pattern for the other 2 bombs , doing exactly the same, makes them fall way short again ( both on CCIP or CCIP predeseg )

Well, taking the changelog at face value, it may be that the bug manifests in two different ways and one of them was fixed, but the other (this one was not). Both issues were moved to the same thread, as per my request as it seemed to be the same issue, but perhaps this isn't the case, considering for one user in the original thread, the problem was solved on their end.

Yes your right, I am quite fresh. Owning DCS and some modules for Years I did never got into it, until early 2025. And I am binging everything I can, bying and learning module after module, flying SP campaigns and Being active member of a squadron, as well as quite active in the forum. I love DCS and at least try to have patience and understanding for the dev team. I apologize if any of them feels offended. But for me its a communications thing. I see that leaked zoom disaster and people like enigma drawing a real bad picture that indicates, ED would have no interrest in making good content beyond FF modules espacially for MP. And then you google since when a dynamic campaign is awaited. But ED does not stand up against it. Doesn't proof them wrong and despite nineline and bignewie making quite a job handling this forum I feel a need for better communication. I obviously don't have the insights you have. Anyway, thanks for keeping my curiosity alive. Sounds better than draconus' post. I would realy be happy to be proven wrong about this one.

It's your wish and you are entitled to wish for whatever, while it baffles me that people are willing to spend time converting audio files to ogg files, then upload a limited set to some folder instead of using other players with thousands of hours of music that can be controlled with VoiceAttack. Indeed. In jets the pilot and back seater(if the jet had it) would always start the jets. And go through the checklist. What ground crew would do is start the jet now and then to align INS etc. Hence fast alignment/stored alignment being the standard start up procedure. But during WW2 things were different. While of course the pilot knew perfectly well how to start their fighter. The ground crew would usually start the aircraft some 15 minutes before take off. This was to warm up the engine and let the pilots get their coffee and food in them. The pilot would jump in. Do some last minute checks. The crew would top off the fuel and off the pilot went. (This specifically deals with Western allied airforces on plan missions. There would of course be variations depending on nation, aircraft and mission type.)

Hello, I'm having difficulty training with this bird. I'm trying things that may seem simple and basic to you: loops, looping, split S, etc. Perhaps someone who's used to posting YouTube videos will have the time to make one to train on the subject. (It's not just the inputs that pose problems, but also the choice of trim, the use or not of afterburner, as well as the correct AoA choices.) Thanks in advance, just in case. Sincerely, Michael

Yup I agree, it's not fixed and the thread should not be marked as such. The fix line in the changelog doesn't even read like that was the bug they were targeting.

Because most users are flying SP and not MP? First iteration I'm sure. I have no clue to how long you have been lurking on these forums, but if you haven't been around for the past "few" years, I can see why you don't know. According to ED they are working on a totally new AI ATC system. And I believe them, because they asked for people with experience with professional Military ATC for voice overs. They are also working on a better flight model for AI called GFM, which they have shown videos of, even if that have been years ago. Exactly this. I was also disappointed when I first learned it would only be for SP and Caucasus, while it makes perfect sense. Make it work on the Caucasus first, because everyone has that map. I will look at it as a proof of concept, before it will be enabled for other maps and MP. Cheers!
