Yeah I was a Company Fire Support NCO for my Light Infantry Company, so I was more static. I thought Bagram was okay. I guess if you're a real POS you would have an issue with the jets taking off, but when you realize that they're possibly going to blow up somebody, you just deal with it. Anyway I went through there for the initial deployment, then went to Blessing through Jbad and so on, and for leave too. Other than that just the mountains and Pech River Valley and such.

place it at /saved games/dcs/StaticTemplate/ if the folder doesn’t exist, create it manually. -

Awesome! Thanks for the reply.

Don't think I ever made it to Blessing. I did Salerno and Bagram. Didn't like Bagram Lol I did hit a bunch of different FOBs on that Bagram rotation, most of which I don't remember.

How's this going? Has the template been updated with Blessing and the Nangalam area? Also, what mods are needed for the templates? -

AHA! Two problems. I had the MLRS too close to the battle. Moved them much further back. Then I noticed they weren't starting loaded with rockets. So I set them to "Visible Before Activation." That solved it. They now elevate their tubes and fire as intended. I thought setting them to Alarm State: Red made them totally ready to go. Is this a bug or a feature? Not particularly intuitive. I was trying to figure out how to alter the loadout when I was like, "Maybe this'll work." Cuz I'd tried everything else I could think of. Working mission attached. Nothing to play at the moment really unless you wanny fly a Huey around an armor battle. Tank Battle A01.miz

SrSosio started following Double input required
-
Hey there. This is probably a known thing and easy fix, but I've noticed that the TM warthog throttle sometimes require double input in order to register a click. What I mean by this is for example to turn off the APU switch, I have to turn it off, then on again and off one more time so the game registers it. Or move the throttle to idle, back to off and back to idle to register the idle position. Do you know why is that and how to fix it? Thanks

Sometimes restarting the game solve the issue, and working just fine in the entire time. Usually it happens to me in the first time when starting the game. Annoying "little" bug

This happens on occasion: ATP in XR mode. Track mode enabled in IR. When I hit the FOV button on HOTAS, sometimes the FOV does not change until I slew the the pod a smidge. Then it snaps into the correct FOV. In other words: -Pod is in XR mode area track, IR narrow FOV. -Press FOV button to get wide FOV -FOV does not change. -Slew the cursor -FOV pops into wide. My expectation is that the FOV should just change without the slew. Has anyone else experienced this? If not, I'll get a track. -Ryan

@BIGNEWY or @NineLine would know those answers. I've been to Bagram, J-Bad (just passing through, not stationed there), but was at FOB Blessing for my rotation in the east.
-
I bought the whole thing too for the same reason you did. Don't want to spend the money on different portions of my old stomping grounds Lol I've mostly hung around the east in game as well since I'm personally familiar with that area, Salerno, Bagram, Kabul, J-Bad, etc...There's no time frame for other parts of Afghan by chance, is there?

So in the end, I built a complete new system and found a second hand reconditioned 3080 Ti. Wow - what a difference! I can run DCS in VR with all settings maximised, and the big improvement for me is about ground units. Before, I found it very difficult to see vehicles - attacking a convoy of trucks on a road even from 1000-2000 ft was previously very difficult but now there is so much more detail, colour and contrast, things seem much easier to see. Vegetation is more vivid and buildings seem a lot more detailed. Thanks to everyone that contributed advice.

Im running the G2 right now. My last new headset was the VR1, that didnt workout and ive uninstalled its software. I dont have any version of PP installed now or ever I do have WMR installed to run the g2 I hope I can leave that. It sounds like you are having good luck with the current version. I have the open Xr tool kit installed and maybe openxr for wmr. It sounded like the older version of PP gave smoother performance but with similar specs if you are getting the new version to work I might consider trying that... not sure yet. Thanks for the quick guide. Ill be using that.

F-16. The app is running on the background. Like I said the overall sync works OK (turning Consoles Brightness Knob affects the Throttle backlight), A/A and A/G buttons' LED are not synced when I enter the appropriate mode by pressing these buttons. Regarding .lua I think it's ok too, here is a pic (using Steam DCS version) null
