если фича, то скорее всего ее пофиксят. по поводу информации на ИЛС, мне кажется это "больно", в режиме ДВБ и захвата РЛ элементарного отображения курса нет, даже "крэнк" правильно не возьмешь, в БВБ при вертикальном сканировании ни высоты ни скорости, ни тем более G и М. тяжело короче против F-16/18/15 приходиться

I believe that it's not that it was considered insignificant, but that chaff in PD radar era was, and still is, close to useless. In DCS it's, of course, the other way around since 99% of our RWRs are 100% precise so you can notch anything quite easily Interesting info, thank you

Again, you are judging something by your own square metric. It's not a slot machine - if it was, it wouldn't be in the aircraft. From my personal experience, it is incredibly accurate. What you have to understand, is that it doesn't give you the range across the ground, rather, it gives the range of the jet in the current state (all things considered). As such, the jet will travel further/less in air during windy days, in order to reach it's destination across the ground. Also, you have to remember that there is a slight error to be incorporated into the indication, given that the weather might be completely different 200km away (which the jet has no way of knowing). Remember, this is pre GPS- and weather radar- era. Still, if I set the engine on a given thrust-setting and maintain altitude, then the km I'm passing, are most often 1:1 with those passed according to the map/INS/NS430. That's my experience with it. -

При включении пушки и в горячих скалах показывал. Мэт говорил в видео боевого применения, что при плохой видимости, например можно целиться наложением подвижной марки пушки на маркер цели просто. Впрочем, так ведь и было в ГС. Кстати, как по мне, прицеливание пушкой а-ля МиГ-29 самое удобное из всех истребителей симулятора. Информацией не перегружено, наглядно и, как бы это сказать, в динамике легче попасть на проходах даже.

Exactly the realistic Vietnam experience. The F-4s that were covering the Thuds or other, bomb-laden F-4s had no recourse but to try to dogfight the MiGs that routinely jumped them. This is why USAF flights got their clock cleaned on a regular basis, and part of why USN got so much mileage out of TOPGUN. If you can't help but be forced into a dogfight in a BVR-capable fighter, you had better be good at dogfighting. More likely, the MiG-29 wasn't considered a likely target for radar missiles. It would either be bushwhacking NATO attack aircraft like the MiG-21 did in Vietnam (its primary role), or it would be escorting friendly bombers, in which case the bombers would be the ones soaking up radar-guided missiles (and hence they had the ECM equipment to defeat them). This is also why the MiG-29 got the helmet sight and R-73, it was envisioned primarily as a WVR combatant. Unlike modern AMRAAM boats, the threats that the MiG-29 was expected to face carried few BVR missiles and would likely try to launch them at their targets, rather than wasting them on escort fighters.

I suggested in the past for a AI super hornet that we could buddy refuel from for modern day naval operations. A KA-6 would be sweet too for cold war naval ops and using the in-game CVN Forrestal.

Just playing around with the ME right now and really lacking ground units and Assets for the both main fractions. Are there plans to add something like Wartburg/Trabant Police Cars, Barkas and stuff like that? Or is there a mod out there which i just missed?

MiG-29A had look down shoot down. We know that if target is above horizon makes more sense since it gives radar better picture and no struggle to process terrain, when it comes to ranges less than 25km with this radar N019 it makes no difference except in HPRF mode which is worst for close range combat, but as in modes such AUTO and P it makes no sense to break lock depending on where target is, above or under horizon, giving a fact that target is closing fast, even with his crank to side i did same in his direction of nose so i don't lose closure speed. My personal opinion it makes no sense since i know for sure how radar works in PRF modes. Please take this as reason to take a good look in details more and do tests by yourself, thanks. -
The "gorka" command is generally understood to mean a hi-rate change in flight altitude, usually upward. However, in the context of the MiG-29 manual, it can also mean downward. These are safety maneuvers to reduce the risk of collision with a target or target debris.

Install latest, as it is in the code of the version you are using. ( the menu handler was not removed after aircraft selection in older versions ) Latest removed this behavior ( and the menu handler is disabled after aircraft is selected ) By the way , i'm just about to release a new version to get rid off console and command line options. This should be easier for new users. (forces dcsbios config before start , etc .. )

Hi everyone! This is a small mod, just one file handling the animation of the fire proceeding the crash of a vehicle in land. This animation as far as I know has always been broken. And a couple of enhanced resolution files (4) for flipbooks used in the animation. OvGME for installation is preferred, if not, you have to overwrite the system file located in the main installation: ... \DCS World\Bazar\shaders\ParticleSystem2\smoke.fx ... \DCS World\Bazar\Effects\ParticleSystem2\xxxx.dds This is my first mod so bear with me, I would like to see if this is working on your end. Inside the file there are a lot of modifiers defined with comments to experiment and find all kind of combinations. i have this profile. I will test it RAVEN, thanks a lot for your detailed answer. I used to have a rhino before the FFbeast, so I will try to compare profiles, and see which setting is causing the issue.- Tshark, let me know if you figure it out. My profiles are highly tweaked to produce a lot of AoA/stall effects and such. so i'd like to keep using them while finding whats creating the issue.
