  3. Uff, I think i have to think ... In this case only Myse can really help out I think, because he has access to the code. I will try the same example with just the waypoints at a greater distance from each other, but I assume the result is then basically the same. There is some difficulty in selecting waypoints when they are at a near distance, because then the nav system automatically switches to the next one.

  5. Yup. And they bury this thread, in the modding section. Yet this is clearly a UI issue. I just love pouring a few hundred hours into a cockpit retexture, only to have it hamstrung by something as simple, as a few lines of code.

  7. I had this 'aircraft armed' announcement bug too. There are no master arm switch binded to my hotas. Multiple times George is not firing the weapon after announcing 'Engaging' within constraints and steady flight. A cycle from 'No Weapon'/De Wased or from a de-slaved TADS brings him back to be able to shoot. This happens a lot. I'll try to generate a short track when able.

  9. Shouldn't we also with the Block 30 early variant be able to simulate a kind of ''pseudo'' F-16N? I mean FM peformance wise they should (?) be close, also they have similar HUD symbology (despite the APG 66).
  10. This doesn't tell me anything. Could you tell me the forum topic where I can write? To the support team? I think it's the job of the module creators, not the user, to set up the Eagle Dynamics task that initiates work on the module's unique weapon.
  11. I don't think so. On the debrief screen you'll be able to see what has failed (able to filter out the list by 'failures' makes easier) or you'll have to diagnose it yourself. IIRC the Random System Failures is always off in multiplayer unless the mission designer has chosen to enable it, so you might never see a failure if you only play on open multiplayer lobbies and if that's governed by the mission settings. Needs a double check on that one.

  13. My DCS in vr crashes on startup. Works fine in 2d. Worked before fine with good performance. Steamvr and a couple of other games work fine on new oasis driver...but not DCS. sighs...tired of trying to fix it
  14. Hello everyone, As a complete beginner to DCS World, I'm working my way up the learning curve. I've found that while YouTube tutorials are a great resource, I often get lost trying to keep up with all the abbreviations and acronyms. My solution has been to create a personal knowledge base using Google's NotebookLM. I've loaded it with aircraft manuals and video links, and it's been fantastic for getting clear, precise answers to my questions. It can even create simple tutorials for me that explain every term as it's introduced. This has worked so well that it made me wonder: are there any freely available, pre-built NotebookLMs for DCS that I could use? A shared resource like this, already sourced with community knowledge, could be incredibly valuable for new players.   16. Finally been trying to get openxr to work, but not much joy. First off, openxr doesn't like canted rendering and gives a double image, so I tried with canted rendering off and that worked. However, frame rates for same settings in vr1 tool drop from 90 fps with steam vr down to 56 fps max with openxr. Also, the image stutters constantly. I am using the release version of the vr1 tool, not the beta version. Second problem I have with the Somnium VR1 is that I am unable to get the IPD calibration to work, so can't use eye tracking. I always get the following 2 fault messages whenever I try to calibrate IPD: null Do any of you folks have any ideas as to why I might be getting the above error messages. Perhaps I am missing something simple. I have e-mailed the Somnium VR Team regarding the above error messages but they have been ignoring me so far. Does anyone have a good contact at Somnium for customer support? I can't find a customer support contact anywhere on the Somnium web site. Any suggestions, hint and tips from any of you folks using the Somnium VR1 would be greatly appreciated. Many thanks. Happy landings, Talisman

  18. I think I resolvd it by plugging the X52 into a different USB port, though I have no idea why this would cause the issue.
  19. George works fine. What you describe points to procedural errors on your part. For example, George will safe the weapons only if you issue a Down (keyboard S) command. I recommend reading the George section of the manual.

  24. it does work with double click, however for all my other modules I have a simple single click which is much simpler and half as many clicks I couldn't get the background to change! weird
  25. Came here feeling like I’m useless at this, pleasantly surprised to see I’m not the only one struggling. Granted a little concerned that the mission has already been downgraded and I’m still getting shot down on the 3rd pass everytime. On bright side, I’m getting really good at startup, using Jdams in both pp and too mode, and adding new waypoints from a new tasking. Really don’t want to skip the bonus mission as I feel Steep wouldn’t abandon a fellow flyer, but damn I need to find a way to escape that darn Sam, makes me concerned for later missions, if I can’t avoid a handheld Sam, I have zero chance if there’s any bigger ones later on. ( too be fair I’ve NEVER avoided a Sam yet in all the years I’ve been playing. So I am aware it’s a skill I’m severely lacking ) Loving the campaign, it’s teaching me a LOT about the F18, and I’m not complaining, more like I’m venting after 5 attempts one after the other today. Now shut down the pc and walked away. I’ve got the Sam on my Lightning, have a Jdam all setup and ready to go, got people advancing on the pilot. Why on Earth would anyone drop down for a show of force when there is clearly a bloke with a Sam stood on the roof, and a high suspicion these guys are the enemy.
