  3. I suggest to get familiar with imperial units as long you are flying. Makes life and documentation use much easier. I am used to metric system too but switch over to imperial units when flying. It does not take long to get used to.

  6. As the title says, I have no sound from Ekran or voice warning system. Have no issues with these in other modules, including Ka50. During start-up the test button of the voice warning system produces no sound. No Ekran sounds during flight, no gear or low altitude warnings, nothing. all muted.

Hooked up my new Super today, after not being satisfied with the CL after my Pimax OG crystal broke it's cable, the Super has the exact same problem as the CL with a clear "grid" over the lenses, But on top of that it's even worse, letters are blurry and has a "shadow" effect on them, even though the IPD is set to 58, like in the CL and OG, the eye tracking and foaved rendering is terrible, I'm constantly seeing flickering and low resolution always moving about even if I'm completely still, in the OG I had to really try and capture the eye tracking changes, but here it's very very obvious all the time, as move my eyes around in the cockpit in DCS, there a lot of flickering and what feels like shadows moving about. I've calibrated the eye tracking twice, with out any improvements. Constant movement and flickering even on still menu pages. in the OG there was a slight blurring effect in the peripheral view, and I had to work to see it, and any eye movement was smooth and nice. Making the eye tracking competently unusable, and just to make it worse, if I have eye tracking and foveated is rendering on, OBS won't record the headset(another problem I didn't have in the OG.) I've tried other VR games, and it's not right there either, blade and sorcery, only gets me to the start, but I don't get a menu to get further, I have fish eye lens feeling in several other vr games

  10. Not trying to derail but I can't see a signature so I assume NineLine can't either? I'm flying in VR and I've don't remember noticing an issue with the default position. Will pay more attention later but I think it would have felt weird from the start if it was off.

  13. Hi Is the mod still working? After the latest DCS update I can't see them in the ME? It seems OVGME won't install them.
  14. In the training missions, all airspeeds and altitudes are given in knots, miles and feet, which is quite useless in a jet that originally used metric units. I guess changing the voice overs would be quite expensive, but could you please change at least the text to also mention the values in proper units.
  15. Nach dem aktuellen Update habe ich im Missionseditor nach diesen Bodeneinheiten,, wie in der Anleitung beschrieben, gesucht aber nichts gefunden . Was ich aber fand, ist eib Fahrzeug mit dem Namen GPS Spoofer NATO oder unter Russland GPS Spoofer RF .. aber das ist ja wohl nicht gemeint oder ? Wer findet diese RSBN/PRMG-Bodeneinheiten auch nicht und warum oder welchen Fehler mache ich, damit ich sie nicht finden kann ?
  16. Some of these are probably features that 95% of the people won't ever use and they don't want to go down those rabbit holes given plenty of modules and limited manpower. Heatblur takes a different approach, but then again, it takes them ages to release stuff (probably due to a lot of these seemingly simple features turn out much more complex to do properly than initially assumed). I do agree that it brings full-fidelity description into question, but they need to stay afloat as well, so, you take the bad with the good, I guess.

  19. I cannot comment on that Andrei, as I practically fly no western aircraft. I would, however, guess, that aside from failiures, the systems are more in-depth modelled (given the total complexity and scope of the aircraft), as opposed to what we had before. We are finally getting e.g. datalinks and IFFs with all their bells and whistles. Notice the main reason why why AH-64D isn't as popular as one would think - it's too complex for the average mind. That's a known fact. My point is, I've been the one on these forums who has advocated for raising module prices, just to cover for more in-depth detail. As I've stated on many occasions, I don't mind paying $200 for a module. I'd gladly pay a $1000 for a fully functional Ka-50, with all systems simulated to the maximum detail. The problem is, that's not the mainstream in the community. Because of that, ED will naturally have to make sacrifices in order to make ends meet, yet pump out ever more complex aircraft. It's that, which causes us to see a certain shift in certain modules. D amage modelling is another example of a aspect which has indeed landed on its back legs. F-16 still doesn't have a proper damage model, and it ain't the only one... @Raven Don't get your hopes up, sadly. Notice how with Apache, you can select individual amount of hellfires on each station to outfit. For a comparison, the Ka-50 BS3 was shown with similar functionality in WIP images, yet came out with the APU-6 fixed to six tubes, no questions asked. I made a note and request about that (among other things), on the RU-side, but as always, it's a question of budget vs. popularity of a module. It apparently costs $ and time (and much so) to model new loadouts, as well as asymmetric ones, and as such, it's not deemed worth it by ED, even though I would argue that it makes sense to grab two Vikhrs instead of six every time, all the time. I argued equally, that one of the main design principles of Russian combat helicopters (chief amongs Kamovs (50/52)), are their duplicated hydraulics systems which grant them increased survivability. This is a must have! Yet, as of now, we don't have it. If your main hydraulics gets damaged in the Ka-50, you better land immidiately, or else - dead stick. Chizh did hint that due to some of us pressuring ED on this, the team "might" model it at some point, however nothing is certain. I don't blame him, budget, priorities and company survival come first, but it puts aircraft other than western in the worst possible spot.
  20. Ah, well. ED (via NineLine) have just confirmed as response to my bug report here that "it's a feature, not a bug". Well, unfortunate, but a another confirmation that ED takes the cheap approach over quality when it comes to UX and their community tools. A pity. Then again, what can you expect from a company that in earnest publishes tools that don't even support Undo...
  21. Unless it's something they couldn't solve at that moment and left it for later (like e.g. the TWF mode sometimes overwhelming the Ts100 computer, which was fixed with Ts100M, IIRC). But, yeah, this sounds like something that should be made optional as it was definitely not designed to work like this.

  23. Hey everyone, when building missions I always found it rather difficult to randomize certain events. For example if you have 10 groups of enemy fighters and you want to activate them *all*, but in a random sequence with the ME alone this seem very difficult. So I created a tool to create as many random sequences as you want in a mission. This is the logic: You define a certain range of flags for example 100 - 120. Then in the ME you create 20 Triggers with the condition Flag is true : 100,101, ..., 120 . And then for example Activate Unit -> Group1, Group2, ... , Group20. Now you initialize an instance of REVSQ in a DO SCRIPT (you can create as much sequences as you want in a mission btw): MY_RANDOM_SEQUENCE = REVSQ.new{baseFlag = 100, n=20} -- This creates a new sequence that will correspond to the flags 100-120. -- Now you can trigger the next random flag with MY_RANDOM_SEQUENCE:next() ---- So for example when one of the Group dies, you can create a trigger with condition group dead -> DO SCRIPT : MY_RANDOM_SEQUENCE:next(), or create a Radio command for it or whatever you can think of. More detailled documentary in the file itself. The only DCS API calls that are used are "trigger.action.outText" when debug=1 and "trigger.action.setUserFlag". The rest is just plain lua. Feel free to try it out and to share it, and let me know what can be improved. REVSQ_v2_2_5.lua
  24. Mod CGTC works great, I check before and after to try to see what's new in Caucasus, i tried to find difference, so with OvGME it's easy to try and make test.
  25. When I join multiplayer servers, srs recognizes the plane as an FC3 mig29, and changing the radio channels in the cockpit does not affect srs. That's why I can't communicate with awacs. + changing the radio channel on SRS itself also does not solve the problem
  26. @Razgriz10 You just need to reverse the FFB direction for the Y axis in the DCS controls menu.
  27. Here is what i tried with all radar modes: Target Span from M to S to L to default, no difference, only on S you get maybe faster detection. COMP Switch even if it says in manual not implemented Foe or Friend IR+RADAR (also not implemented) and TWF/FHS or RHS Still no luck.
