  2. from the operator's seat, point the sight at the target; hold down the laser and hold down the "target designate" button. The target data with coordinates will appear on the screen. Then, press the "store" button.
  3. A target point created in flight is recorded on the last page of the targets (TG List). Targets are numbered from the end (99T, 98T ... and so on)
  4. It's not just about shaking. It also lets you feel the speed by raising the forces you need to move the control surfaces accordingly when you you're getting fast. In the opposite, when you are getting slow, the forces relief and the stick starts to shake when you're close to stall. And, as said before, trimming gets much easier. To trim the speed, you just trim the forces out of the stick. Of course, you can feel the weapons, the afterburner and you can even feel when flaps and gear are extended or raised. However, in regards of immersion, hand tracking is so much more relevant. At least for me. You don't need to move the mouse anymore. Everything is done just by pointing with your index finger. By the way, I wear a half gaming keyboard on the right thigh and a num-pad on the left thigh that have some important functions mapped, that can't be done by hand tracking. Furthermore, I forgot to mention Vaicom Pro, which is a DCS related plugin to Voice Attack. It lets you do all the radio messages by voice, which adds additional immersion to single player missions. I like to use in particular when doing AAR and carrier ops. Cheers
  5. I've never used SSAO. It is allready off.
  6. Understood. At least a fix is coming. It is an interesting issue as the 14700k or 14900k would be my go to upgrade soon-ish.
  7. No problem, glad you´re ok and here again. I´ll send you a PM with one (i use two) of my debrief files. Thank you. PS: i tried the new upload but it crashes as before.
  8. Hey, I got this weird problem. I can hear only oxygen mask, I dont hear jet engine sounds. it is especially annoying during cold start. RPM are rising but no sound at all. It is only in F-4 Phantom. F-16 is ok. I have Pimax Crystal Light. My sounds settings. I have everything on 100%. Switches I have at 200%. I enabled also hear like in helment. Couple of patches agos I had beuatiful loud engines sounds on the ground, rising up and down depending on my thurst settings. Please bring it back!
  9. With the model viewer, you can open the model of the cockpit inside the F86 folder, and use the tag “textures” to locate which is the source of the textures you’d F 86 is using. They look like the originals. Have you moved the original zip file from DCS out of the dcs root? sometimes DCS will find the textures some where else
  10. hello. sounds like a double binding. but not completely sure. find F10 in the common controls and make sure to change it. DCS has no logic to prevent double bind keys. DCS also uses context cascading menus. like you said, pressing f10 in the comm menu does something completely different. i am tagging a cohort that i believe still uses voice attack. he may have insight. @MAXsenna any input to this input error? (see what i did there?)
  11. Regarding your preference for an earlier version of the Herc, I regret to inform you that if i had made such an aircraft, you would have been unable to operate it either a) without a full crew of humans b) within the next 5 years, as that's how long it would have taken me to implement a sufficiently advanced ai crew system to support you
  12. Today
  13. Do you know how to work on the model viewer? in it, you Can see were your textures are coming From. Pp
  14. hello. are you having the same loss of control with your other modules? of course omitting the super carrier as the start of the aircraft. if so, then i suspect a controller issue. it would be odd that more than one controller fails. that said, there is likely another issue. are the controllers connected to a powered hub? now another idea is that the controllers are disconnecting when DCS is running. you should "disable hot plug" in DCS options. can you share your latest DCS.LOG for examination?
  15. 15, 16, and 18. I like my high-tech toys.
  16. I had the same issue. A workaround is to press ESC go to controls and than back into the game. Afterwards you can switch the seats. Until know I wasn't able to reproduce it. It's to spurious.
  17. nullUS "Have drill" program. Silver or camo sporting the stars and stripes.
  18. Maybe voice attack activates the radio command not the actual command and the briefing says you need to use the latter.
  19. OK after troubleshooting, it looks like the trigger won't accept the voiceattack "salute" command (though it correctly triggers the ground crew). You have to use the 's' key (which I have bound to salute), and this will progress the trigger.
  20. While interesting topic, it doesn't really matter. Unless you can convince Eagle Dynamics to spend hours and $$$ updating the fidelity on a Flaming Cliffs level module, that's intended to have simplifications and some inaccuracies with the real counterpart.
  21. This is not entirely true what you write. In the 1980s, camouflage was already used on the LiM-15/MiG-17F in the Polish Air Force (generally, in those years there were few Lim-5s because they were replaced by newer versions) but those MiG-17Fs that were still in service were repainted. There is no fiction here. This photo is from 1984. Bare metal also existed, but it appeared rarely, eventually being replaced by later versions of the LiM, the pinnacle of which was the LiM-6bis. I also have no idea what radar you're talking about? The MiG-17F didn't have the A2A radar, only the PF version. 1985: btw. Maybe you don't know... (looks like Mars-2 launchers) : This is the Lim-6bis model that I made about 3-4 years ago:
  22. Thanks for sharing!
  23. Ernsthaft?
  24. @BIGNEWY Here's another recent server crash, same trace. dcs.log-20250901-191331.zip
  25. This is a bold assumption. Unless you are in a relatively narrow band below supercharger critical altitude and won't pull back the RPM too much, the engine will not be able to produce the same manifold pressure at lower RPM. The superchargers are gear driven and directly linked to engine speed. A small drop in RPM is a relatively large drop in boost. For example R-2800-8 from F4U-1 is rated at 2000 BHP at 2700 RPM, but only 1675 BHP at 2550 RPM. Also, just because you have the same manifold pressure at lower RPM does not mean the engine is producing the same power. On the contrary. Otherwise, it would make no sense to spin it faster. I don't have a full power table for R-2800, so here's something more meager from Lycoming. Same principles apply. Reducing RPM is a great way to reduce engine stress, wear and improve fuel economy. But not a great way to squeeze more performance out of the aircraft. The story about flying a Beech 18, while cool, has little to do with this discussion topic.
  26. Strangely, I'm looking for a way to decrease the font size, but specifically the labels when in VR. They are too big for close objects. Any ideas? Thanks
