M02 instructing wingman to engage?
SorelRo replied to Pyrocumulous's topic in F-16C Dragon's Fury Campaign
Hmmmm, that shouldn't happen as I made them invulnerable. I'll check and see if something got screwy. Thanks for the report. Just to confirm, that is mission 2? -

Yes, this would be helpful, but also have option for individual key binds for each flap position so that it can work for some of the hardware that exists. After all, it is a discrete 6-position input, not an axis, but an axis would still be a big step in the correct direction.
-
In a beefy sim like this, there should be a option to allow this. I agree.
-
https://joytokey.net/en/ here is Joyto key, it would be nice to see more options for controllers. I fly with a warthog suplmented with an x box controller for WSO stuff

Are you willing to sell just the UFC?

Reading the various available MIG29 references I went searching for the "Expected Target range" radar setting as in FC3 MIG29. I couldn't find any references to it. Does it exist in the real Mig29 ? If so where is the switch that sets it ? Or is it a function of the range that the TDC cursour is set to?

I have not heard anything official yet, so nothing new on our end at the moment.

I'm just going to play the av-8 till it wont work anymore. Pretty much convinced me that if I do add a module I will only buy an ED developed modules to avoid this possibility of happening again.

Its funny I see this written as I just noticed earlier that I seem to be flying the aircraft a bit like an airline pilot. This is after years and years of mostly airline sims. Nothing wrong with that I guess to learn an aircraft but its like unlearning good habits and returning to the things that got you into trouble in heavier/slower aircraft! But as you say can be very easy to get wrapped up in procedures, just fly. That said, maintaining steady turn rate can be quite difficult on a sim.

Have you checked the log file in the same location as the config file? This will tell you what is being applied and resulting performance. You may also check if the quadviews openXR layer is active in DCS settings by hovering your mouse pointer over the triangle beside the quadviews selection box. The install order may also cause problems, quadviews must be installed after OXRTK.

I did purchase the A-10C in early access and have Nevada that came for free with it. I don't have this campaign either. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

The "advantages" were to those that ran monitors on low resolution or had old VR headsets that were not quadviews or high res yet. Not sure if noticed, but I'd heard several players and youtube videos give a number 1 tip on how to get better at MP is to "reduce your resolution" so that you can spot the enemy. Isn't that a little bit insane, to go backwards in technology to fix a problem that should be a user choice? By saying "having options made it worse" what you're essentially saying is "the old option was best for me, and I don't care what option is best for others" @MoleUK offered the solution - if you don't like them, just turn them off. No need to ruin other players enjoyment, especially since the majority are not in MP much.

Make sure you have all the latest drivers, even TARGET has been updated. I have the AVA base with an F/A-18 stick on it, and when I updated the drivers my RSMapper software kept giving me hiccups. Go into Thrustmaster Control panel (Start/Thrustmaster/Thrustmaster Control Panel) if you don't see it, you don't have the drivers installed correctly. Once in there, look for your AVA base and make sure the firmware is up to date... no matter if you might think it is... Thrustmaster is going to ask you right off if everything is installed correctly. If you see your stick and all the buttons and axis' are working in the Control Panel, then it's a DCS problem not seeing your stick. I had to redo all my in game axis when I updated the drivers and Firmware. That's when it saw my stick as a Hornet (R) stick. It used to just be Hornet stick. Do a rescan of devices and then a slow repair of the game. Good luck.. glad to see you're still around Stanger... Hoss aka 361st_BeoWolf

Me Also, I dont know if this is the difference. I got mt Hotas Warthog first day on sale in fact I was one one those the throttle quadrant was bricked and they sent out a new one to me. There might have been a slight upgrade a few years after mine I don't know just guessing. Saturday, I get the new Viper stick and we shall see. My paddle broke on old one so a new one not a bad thing. Even with the A-10 stick out it still sees a Viper stick. Maybe the base defaults Viper not sure.

I won't take sides, but I will ask a few questions. What will RAZBAM do with all these modules already developed? They no longer receive payment for them, and converting them to other simulators will be too expensive and time-consuming. We're talking about a lot of idle money. Wouldn't it be easier for RAZBAM to transfer these sources to another partner and share the profits, or sell them to DCS, so that it can find another partner or continue operating them itself? Wouldn't RAZBAM's contract with the Ecuadorian Air Force be an impediment to adding another partner, such as TBS/DCS or any other partner, so that it can be regularized and stop violating IP rules?

scommander2 replied to 104th_Money's topic in Game Performance Bugs
Thank @Special K. If one parked core becomes the unparked state later while DCS has ran a while, it is too late for DCS to put this core into the core pool so DCS won't schedule a task on it. Is it correct? Thanks. -
Everything so far had been SFM, GFM has not been released yet. Fuel issues is mostly because AI sucks at managing their fuel. They use AB willy-nilly, fly at full power as opposed to efficient cruise, and don't respect any sort of bingo, so they continue wasting gas until they fall out of the sky.

Looks like my mirage will break and I won't be getting my Harrier or Eagle, or Fulcrum, or Hellcat.

Ahh I see

Special K replied to 104th_Money's topic in Game Performance Bugs
That's not 100% correct. DCS creates core pools and schedules the tasks in these pools. With that, DCS decides what will be on which core groups at least.
