  2. This and at least 2 SME's, engineer and fighter pilot, from 2 vastly different air forces.
  3. ah you have a issue with the A-4 break play its one of the only A-4 issues is there moment were the breaks dont answer 1/3 wich can be quite anoying, also watch out because the hook up area of the catapult is the rectangle area just behind the catapult shuttle itself, if you wheel get in front of the shuttle you are out of the hook up area, if you talk about the AI's being stuck be aware that the clem and the foch can only mannage groups of 2 planes , be sure that each groups you do are 2, if my memory is correct try to not have more than 10 planes on the deck @James454
  4. The new Special Options, when left at their default values, work the way they always have so I haven't touched them. So my personal feedback is: it works as it always worked as nothing was changed that has any influence on my setup. The people who those Special Options are for, are those who use a normal springloaded joystick for flying F-16. RealSimulator has YouTube videos explaining all of the settings in their software.
  5. Ночной перелёт
  7. Good catch
  8. I would think at this point users with force sensing sticks (and the accompanying software) would be providing some feedback on the F-16 Special tab settings. I get the Special Menu settings vs in game Controls settings for axis tuning, but the interaction with outside software like SimAppPro for the WinWing Orion II MFSSB force sensing stick are a bit confusing. I stumbled on "adequate" settings in SimAppPro + activating the Special tab's two axis and max deadzones that finally made it straightforward for aerial refueling and tight formation work. But in BFM working the stick is a struggle as it's now fairly unresponsive except to what I consider extreme force to manuever the jet. I'm sure somewhere there is a compromise between micro movements needed for AAR and air combat or low level flight in rugged terrain, but it seems more trial and error than theory on how the two systems (outside software, Special menu settings) work together.
  9. I think this would be a good place to start before getting started on the Thud module.
  10. Check your gear handle, that's the problem I had with the gauge not returning to zero.
  11. I feel that what people are saying is that the aileron trim is too coarse. I have found that even with manually setting the aileron trim to the neutral position, I get a roll in either direction in flight. That in itself is okay but I can't adjust the aileron trim in flight to prevent any roll-off to either side. When I use the trim reset, the aileron trim is in perfect neutral with no roll-off. I feel that the aileron trim requires a bit more granularity to be able to properly trim wings level manually. Regards, John
  12. Since we now have user deployable RSBM / PRMG systems in the sim, can we have a deployable ILS? https://www.icao.tv/thales/videos/thales-atm-d-ils
  13. new clouds update incoming?
  14. It doesn't. While it's got way better sensors and air power projection (gas, range, weapon load), the 29 actually has better sustained and instantaneous turn capabilities*. It should also have better vertical capabilities. Plus in it's time, it had the helmet sight over the Eagle with Mikes at best. The Eagle can be dangerous WVR, but it's not a guaranteed win - far from it. Ze Germans found out that you could actually out-bingo an Eagle when playing a bit dirty. But that's in an artificial setup. _____ * that's from Spanky's video, who had a decent amount of hours in both jets
  15. Decided to cancel the Crystal Super order until reviews come out on Dream Air production units. Have a reverb G2 and quest 3 and I can use the G2 with the new driver Oasis driver. With the issues mentioned on this site and the fact that I have not been playing dcs or msfs lately due to family issues I was not comfortable that I could give it a good trial during the 14 day trial period and the delay in getting one if I order later would not affect me much. Thanks everybody for the information.
  16. You can't just roll back a single map or module. You can move to previous DCS version, leaving out any modules and changes that came later.
  17. Oh, great, after testing this just now I can see that you can place RSBN Glidepath and Localiser cars on both ends using same channel # (they use same RSBN Car to generate beacon), which is great... also I tried putting Glidepath and Localiser in same group (as they share the channel) but then only 1st unit work and the 2nd doesn't, meaning each unit has to be on their own, not part of a group. Thanks for this guide
  18. No they don't. See the following for a description of the proper operation.
  20. Hi, please include a track replay and your dcs log from the session we will try to assist you thank you
  21. Correct needs to be done in the rearm menu.
  22. That's correct. The UFC option is to tell the jet "this bomb should have code X", so if your TGP is set to the wrong code, you will get an indication. The actual code can only be set on the bomb itself by the ground crew.
  23. SU-33 Flanker
  24. So you are saying the only way to edit the bomb laser code is through the ground crew?
