Hello again. I did as you explained. I downloaded (mbucchia/Quad-Views-Foveated:) then (TallyMouse/QuadViewsCompanion). When I open it, a window appears with settings and a turbo mode checked. However, when I install Quad-Views-Foveated, I can't open it because when I click on it, a window tells me it's installed. And I still have my problem of having the quad view box checked but grayed out, and I can't change this box in the dcs VR settings. But where I can turn the quad view on or off is at the very beginning of dcs startup, using the switch at the bottom of the page when launching dcs. So my question is, is the quad view mode on or off? How can I know?

I just updated from Windows 10 to 11. Now when I go to set up Surround it will only allow me to select two monitors. In the setup multiple display i can see all four monitors. Does anyone have a solution to this beside going back to Windows 10. EVGA 3080

I very much doubt Linux is ever going to take any significant market share from Windows. I’ll bet most people don’t even know what it is. Heck if Linux really wanted to swing for the fences they’d have to advertise. But since it’s open-source who would have anything to gain from promoting it? So I can’t imagine any “I’m a Linux” adds with Justin Long in a penguin suit. But yep you do you

run the mission again, when you exit the mission there is a button to "save track file", attach that file here to take a look at your issue

usually value=1 pushes the butt0n, while value 0 releases it, which aircraft are you using? (The commands are different for each aircraft) -

The in game airfields will only have TACAN according to their real world counterparts. No TACAN in real life, no TACAN in game. You also won't have TACAN on civilian airports IIRC. Hence the lack of TACAN in The Marianas/Persian Gulf. Sïnai? Not many NATO countries there.

EchoOneOne started following Geran 1/2/3 loitering munitions
-
I'd like to suggest addition of the Geran family of loitering (commonly known as Shahed 131, Shahed 136 and Shahed-238) to the CH Assets pack. They are usually fired from a launcher rail using RATO or pneumatic system. Suggested technical data: Geran-1 (Shahed-131) Operational range: 700 km. Speed: 180km/h. Warhead: ~10–15 kg high-explosive/fragmentation. Geran-2 (Shahed-136) Operational range: 1,000 km. Speed: 185km/h. Warhead: 90 kg. Geran-3 (Shahed-238) Operational range: 1,200 km. Speed: 800km/h. Warhead: 50 kg. It would be nice to see the Gerbere drone added It's parameters: Operational range: 900 km. Speed: 160 km/h. Warhead: 5 kg.

I’ve had those issues with various games. I did a straight line power curve to slightly under volt the card and have had no issues since. Also no performance issues that I have noticed.

AI detection at night with moonlight and lights
GunnerFlyboy replied to FlintMcgee's topic in Sim Research
I've wondered how to get the AI to turn off its lights on fence-in where it makes sense to turn them off. We were always trained to keep all emissions off when on combat missions. At least back in the day with B-52s, back when we were still a low-level penetrator. -
EchoOneOne started following SS-N-33 Zircon
-
I'd like to suggest addition of a land-attack variant of the SS-N-33 "Zircon" to the CH Assets pack. The launcher already exists in the Russian assets pack as the SS-C-5 Bastion-P TEL — you can reuse that launcher model and animation. That leaves only the missile model, flight model and associated effects to implement. Suggested technical data: -Operational range: ~540 nmi; -Flight envelope: climbs at an angle of 40° immediately after launch up to ~35 km where the booster (with payload fairing) separates; the missile then descends to ~28 km, the scramjet ignites, it performs high-altitude hypersonic cruise at ~Mach 8 and finishes with a terminal descent at up to ~Mach 4.5. -Propulsion: boost phase + scramjet sustained cruise; -Warhead: 350 kg fragmentation warhead; -CEP is approximately 3 m.

Listen, I could try to educate you or point to info, but I won't - it's all there in hundreds (thousands?) of internet articles and videos (in depth, or losely, there's all kinds) explaining why Windows has been going on a downward spiral and will only get much worse from here on, and why Linux is going on an upwards one - perhaps people should be aware. It's not my job trying to convert users to it (I hate that sh!t). It's up to you to be informed, understand, and maybe decide what to do (or not to do) - if that interests you, that is. What I know is simple and is this: I want the OS on my own PC to be an OS, because that's all it should ever be. I don't want it to be bloated; I don't want it to spy on me; I don't want to have ads on it; I don't want my PC to be an AI PC. I don't want it to do needless updates if (and especially when!) I don't want it too, or having updates breaking my stuff out of nowhere. I don't it want it to decide that a plethora of capable hardware out there is no longer supported, and then left out hanging (forcing to buy new stuff when it's not needed!). I also don't want to spend hours investigating and tweaking it all over again, when a new version comes out, just to block all of this utterly moronic stuff - I've grown tired of it. Windows used to be great up to Win7 (plus Service Packs), when long standing issues could be ignored in favour of its other qualities. No more, it's gone too far. If whatever OS (seems to be Linux) can provide what I want/need on a daily basis, then once it provides most of what I want/need for gaming, that's it: "bu-bye Windows". But hey, that's just me and some few other guys (according to you), so... ..."you do you".

Can't make AI launch cruise missile
Elisei Posudnevskii replied to Elisei Posudnevskii's topic in Mission Editor
No, he really can, I can say for sure when I forced him to use the X-101 against a moving target. That's not the problem; the problem is that any aircraft with a CAS mission doesn't attack a target if it doesn't see it itself! It doesn't matter that another plane saw its target! He has to do it himself. The problem is that, in fact, it should work without scripts and triggers. If not, what is the purpose of the AI aircraft's "Reconnaissance" task in DCS? -

AAR bug? "Transfer Complete- Disconnect" the moment i connect.
Cali replied to Max107's topic in DCS: F-16C Viper
I haven't worked on a viper with ext tanks in years, but I can look into this problem this week. But, just to give you some insight and this could be the problem.....your int wings. Your internal wings have a float in them, once your wings fill up, your jet will not take any fuel. It shouldn't be a bug, that's how the jet was designed. I don't think a viper will ever refuel once his ext tanks are empty. When we flew from Alaska to Guam the 16's refueled several times during that 9 hour flight. Pretty sure they burned some fuel off from their int wings.....but I could be wrong......I never asked them. -
You have a throttle to control the speed and a stick to control up/down and roll left and right, together with pedals that control yaw. Add together some buttons and stuff, you can blow things up. If that doesn't help, either be more specific, read the manual or watch some tutorials.

Well, extremely stupid question here. You have setup/bound your controls in the Controls Settings? Sent from my SM-A536B using Tapatalk

I don't think a Tu-95 is capable of providing close air support... Perhaps try a different task like ground attack or something. What you also could do is set up some triggers. Once the target is spotted, or the recon plane is in zone (over target), tell the Tu-95 to attack a point.
