  1. Past hour
  2. Thanks for the clarification... I thought that might be the case, but wasnt sure if NVCP was reporting the actual state or the support.
  3. Hi Wrench and to whom it may concern, I have managed to make it work my retouched cockpit in DCS! The problem was that it loads NOT ONLY textures from: D:\Games\DCS World\Mods\aircraft\F4U-1D\Liveries\Cockpit_F4U-1D\Default But oddly enough, also some textures from: D:\Games\DCSWorld\Mods\aircraft\F4U1D\Shapes\Textures\Cockpit_F4U-1D.zip Moreover, the cockpit name in the. Lua file can be anything, (e.g. “AC”) but NOT the folder in which it resides, said folder HAS to be named “Default”… Go figure… Anyhow, here a first draft, there is still quite some work to do, but it is taking shape….
  4. Your GPU supports it (gpu-z), your motherboard does not - so NVCP reports not enabled, because you cant enable it in the BIOS.
  5. These figures are on the faster side for the Corsair, but I believe they are well within reason considering we have 3 examples of the her hitting 365mph@SL and 420mph+@criticalALT. 320Kts at SL, overboosting the engine to 75"Hg/>3000rpm, fails to reach the 'Special'(65"Hg) F4U-1 at 327Kts is a tell - tale sign shes just too draggy. This should certainely help in BFM energy management. The Corsair should be faster, hold energy better(?) and turn tighter than the P-47D.
  6. I agree completely! We have a similar topic over in "bugs" as well:
  7. Dumb question maybe, would resizable bar have any effect on VR performance? It does not seem to be implemented in my BIOS, and I am getting contradictory information on the GPU: GPU-Z says YES, Nvidia Control Panel says NO. Before I start jumping through hoops, I thought I would ask if it has any effect in VR which is where i usually spend my DCS time. Note: I did enable in Nvidia Profile Inspector, but no change in the report from Nvidia control Panel. nullnull
  8. I’m not really trying to dis the topic I just find click baity YouTube videos amusing. What the “fix” seems to be doing is just forcing it on but odds are this is probably enabled by default. Maybe as such a niche game DCS doesn’t have a profile for this? JTC is running a benchmark, not an actual game. Anyone try this for real in DCS? And does forcing this on in DCS cause any problems? This game seems fraught with stability problems so my first hunch is to leave things alone.
  9. All resizable bar does is enable the cpu to access a larger portion of the GPU frame buffer at one time. Whether this has any impact on game performance is dependent on how that specific game accesses that frame buffer (how often, the size of the transfer, what it does with it etc..). Some games see a lot of benefit, some see little to none. In some cases (at least I've heard, no first hand knowledge of this) it can be detrimental. For it to be enabled by default, my guess is that the game publisher must ask NVidia to provide that in their game profile - NVidia wont do it by default for obvious reasons. ED probably hasnt seen sufficient gain (or believes there are scenarios where it is a problem), or just hasn't tested it - and so its not turned on by default. So now we have this work around where we can turn it on ourselves and test it and draw our own conclusions. It is most certainly the case that results will vary based on the factors I raised above (cpu, gpu, rebar options, cpu/gpu bound game scenario, etc..). I used the cold start on super carrier to do my test, but that could just be a scenario where it doesnt help. So.... all I'm saying is it's great that people post "try this!", but for this one it would be helpful if those who see a benefit provide more information:)
  10. Yes lets stage a dinner between Kojima and ED and hope for the best outcome ... ooh man but i wish Death Stranding is one of the best when it comes to scenery, if it would only be so easy to "borrow" whole terrain package and throw it in sim.
  11. Hope the team has seen this- If there is a better area to post bug reports for visibility do let me know!

    Carrier landings

Manual suggest to use 20 on curves, 2-3 deadzone. Some set to 75 saturation. Yes sorry. My bad.
  13. O.K. You ask for it… Let me give you the final blow. Have a look at the enclosed images. A pristine, clean corsair livery, fresh from the factory. This livery has been provided NOT by me, but from Magnitude 3 themselves, very well known for their accuracy. This completely contradicts your fantastical assertions in your post from last Monday…. BTW, did you see the comments from other members? Just stop it… Finally, I have succeeded in implementing my retouched, fresh from the factory, clean cockpit in DCS…….
  14. In cas anyone missed it, Virpil started a survey to know what would be the interest of the sim community for their FFB solution. Register here : https://virpil-controls.eu/ffb-register-now
  15. Wether you call it a bug or an oversight or something else doesn't matter. It is a thing for Intel systems, doesn't cost anything to rectify and has a proven effect. Not worth arguing about.
  16. has anyone tried dogfighting the corsair? it flies like it has thrust vectoring. it does things. in head on passes, it tends to go vertical and it catapults into sky. at the end of climb it begins to favor one circle but even with low speed it outturns me. it is even deadlier than ai spitfire. and feels wrong.
  17. Подтвердилось что это всё таки баг карты. Она возвращает много лишних несуществующих объектов на запрос в любую точку в добавление к тем что там реально есть.
  18. Back from vay-K, any luck yet?
  19. All in all it seems expensive for cam base and grip and throttle that don't have a proper sim to use them in, no other planes besides F35 have this HOTAS so that's a little odd to shell out that much without an F35 even on the horizon
  20. I'm not a specialist at all, so I can't say whether it's accurate or not, but to me, the flight model feels odd. I enjoy flying my other WWII modules (P-51, Bf 109, Spitfire, P-47, Fw 190D and A), but when I try the Corsair, I just don't feel connected to the plane. I don't use a force feedback stick as I'm using a Virpil WarBRD, but I still get a much better feeling with the other aircrafts. It's a bit disappointing, because the Corsair is a plane I've really been looking forward to. I do plan to get a FFB stick eventually, but I'm waiting to see how good (or bad) the upcoming Winwing options will be. Maybe that will give the Corsair a whole new dimension. I've tried to change the curves, but sadly I don't get a better feeling and I can't explain why.
  21. Just pointing out that this isn’t a “bug” unless you think Nvidia intentionally hides this feature in order to handicap their cards for no good reason. Odds are this is already enabled by default for any game that it’s worth running on. Figures… anyone else actually test this in DCS? My guess is you’d have to be in a GPU limited situation to see a benefit if there is one. And DCS might still enable this by default anyways.
  22. I tested it as well.I ran the Cyberpunk benchmark with and without “RESIZABLE BAR.”
  23. Oversized good power supply is not a bad thing to have to begin with. If money is not a constraint. And... My previous gaming rig's 1,200W power supply is from the previous previous gaming PC. Or, was it from the previous, previous, previous gaming PC? Anyway, it predates VR and had dual graphic cards, hence the oversized power supply. You know, from the heyday of SLI and stuff. It would have been my current gaming PC's power supply but I decided that I can use the previous gaming PC's dual boot Linux for compiling stuff, and its Win10's current DCS setup for AH64 gunner "passenger" ride "demos" with a cheap Quest 3S. So, I bought another way oversized expensive power supply, 1,600W. And note that... I don't turn off my computers. So, that darn thing has been running 24/7 for many years. > 10 years? Maybe the "low load" has something to do with the longevity? Don't really know, but I suspect it's a factor. And of course, key is a good durable power supply. You don't want those that will have capacitors blown a few years down the road. This... is difficult... by reputation, experience, and luck only. YMMV greatly.

    Nav radio

Yes it does work but there are some wrinkles.... Here's what worked for me: 1 - In the ME, set the freq of the carrier to 250. Set the preset for your aircraft's nav channel 1 to the same, 250. 2 - On the C-38, REC C to on. 3 - Sensitivity - to max. 4 - CW/VOICE on the C-38 to VOICE (this is reversed for now - issue already reported). 5 - Touch nothing else. In 1-2 minutes you will start hearing the morse.
  25. After about a week of trying to do carrier landings and unfortunately failing, I think I understood that the problem is precisely the management of the rudder in combination with the considerable torque that the engine produces. Certainly there are virtual pilots who both for ability and hardware used have the task easier than others, this does not take away as I have already mentioned in other threads that for other users the fact of not having the possibility of being able to choose to have for example the automatic rudder or other aids strongly limits the use of the module. I hope that the developers as soon as possible add options for the aid to the carrier landing which as I repeat the failure in this can also depend on the fact of not being able to afford the purchase of high-level hotas.
  26. I do imagine it every time when I play flight sims, for better or for worse . It is undeniable this is the way to go. The consistent and actual real noise/clutter it makes on the ground paired with being in a DCS cockpit would output crazy amounts of immersion. Helis would be totally more intense.
