I disabled QV, enabled DLSS with the "HUD_MFD_after_DLSS = true" advice from Peedee. Looks good, and perfomance is great. -Not sure about the F4 Maverick TV screen.. Kinda looks a bit mushy. Could be placebo. Thanks a lot, though! :)

This has happened twice this week: After a cold start I move the throttle forward (the two throttles are locked together) to taxi to a runway and the thrust axis goes dark on me either right at the first push on the throttle or on the runway. All buttons and hats continue to work but the thrust axis is dead. This is fixed by unplugging and plugging back in but happened about two days apart, with maybe five hours without incidents in between. Any idea what might be happening? SimAppPro current version updated last week, and both Windows 11 and the NVidia graphics card had updates. DCS up to date, repaired and cleaned up folders.

Both the GMLRS and ATACMS rounds always impact on the same spot when a target radius is set. As I don't know if this stands correct with their RL abilities I don't consider this as a bug - right now more as a question. But if they're able to hit an area more than a spot it would be nice to have. Anyone some ideas?

Насколько я могу судить, на фото кабина раннего советского 9.12 т.к. отсутствует счетчик ЛТЦ в центре панели. В ГДР поставлялся МиГ 29 с 1988 года уже с "поздней" кабиной т.е. со счетчиком ЛТЦ, как в модуле. Хотелось бы понять ставился все же этот тумблер (сорри, если не правильно называю данный девайс) на экспортные модели, но потом его снимал заказчик ? Или была только техническая возможность (то есть наличие разъема) установки, но в реальности он не ставился ?

being in china should not matter but who knows. are you able to ask your ISP? the speed of the download should not be affected by change in DNS. your computer would query DNS to get the appropriate IPs for the canonical name CDN... then DCS will use that DNS to connect to get the updates. you did this step correct? "reset you home network equipment" ISP may have a bad route too. this could cause slowness. but the DNS set to a root server makes your situation confusing.

At least it shows on F-16 rwr. I did get close enough for it to get tracing tone on rwr but that was just for testing

No where does he mention 23,000 feet for the 261 knot reference. "2,500ft all they way up through 15,000 ft" If you are willing to look past at least 8,000 feet pressure altitude discrepancy, then yes everything is ok. I tested at 23,000 with 50% fuel, full blower, 2700 rpm all cooling flaps closed, mixture rich, and maxed out at 243kias which translates to about 402mph true. Not bad, but not correct either. Those results were achieved with a dive from 24k to 23k, then waiting until the speed stops decaying. It's even worse with a level acceleration coming in at around 236kias. At sea level with a dive I can get about 289kias which is about 332mph true. With about 275kias achievable in level acceleration. Aside from the OPs hyperbolic post, no one is saying it's off by a huge amount. But it's missing 5-10% of top speed as a rough estimate.

Someone further up said the IRST range would be ~10km. I'm sure I've used the IRST in the FC3 version way further out than that? Personally I'd always fly a FF version if there's one available. I've just got mates who don't see the increased complexity (and paying again for a jet they can already fly) as necessarily a good thing

Just keep in mind that Virpil has long delivery times and that you should take the displayed delivery times with a huge grain of salt. If you get their CDT stick, I would suggest getting at least one Throttle Module with it. You can never have enough axes, IMO.

You can simulate this for yourself by not installing the Fulcrum until wing flex is added.

Well, I don’t think it would need “nerfing.” The range of the radar in FC3 is pretty much spot on. There are differences that will make it harder to use in FF though, just becuase it is realistically modeled. For example. Loco will no longer be instant but take 1-2 seconds at least. If you lock within max missile range, it will take the R-27R/ER 4 seconds to get ready before it can be fired(just like sparrow, but this process is done early in some situations). You will have less HUD symbology ( to focus on killing!). And radar/IRST won’t pick up each others lost locks unless coop is turned on which locks radar to MPRF. IRST won’t instantly range at all ranges, but the laser will be limited to 6.5 km requiring radar range beyond. So it will be a little harder to use, some things will take longer, but I expect it good users to still make a killing using its speed and altitude to throw the R-27R far and fast. If all you care about is competitiveness and beating someone, maybe not. But for me I expect to get a lot of joy from working the systems, and thus even more satisfaction from making kills. It will have an advantage in air to ground and gun modes though. AG it can calculate wind and movement for any weapon. And for gun mode, you have an alternate mode that allows you to lead a target up to 12 degrees. Whereas right now in FC3, the mode we have limits us to 6 degrees lead.

How can I disagree? Since way back in 1998, with civil simulators, I've always flown in 2D. Then, in DCS, I started using the Trackir and I already saw a big difference, but there was still a "perceptual" limitation. But when I finally switched to VR last year, the leap was epochal: nothing compares in terms of immersion, immensely distant from the Trackir and light years from the 2D monitor. And now that I've also been able to get hold of the Reverb G2 with the Oasis drivers, my experience has improved enormously, both in performance and quality compared to the Quest2 I initially had.
