I’ve raised this issue in the ED Discord and attached the news.lua file that was attached in the thread on this post. They’ve replicated the issue and are looking into it.

That's impossible when selecting predefined specific frequencies. And not with today's AI control options. See it like this, for example Incirlik AFB, the tower freq is 122.10. When selecting this freq on your comms, a drop-down menu appears with options : 1 startup, 2 taxi, 3 take off ect. Select an option of what you want to do, and the (AI) Tower responds with how it wants you to proceed, in junction with other air traffic (dynamic AI) moving around the airport, controlling traffic and procedures. It also handles handoffs like it does at a real airport, because in fact, there are a lot more important frequencies at an airport than just the Tower, right ? But yet simplified in the advanced simulation of DCS, so it becomes more user-friendly. But why would only the cockpits and aircraft designs be as advanced as they are today, and not the airports? With today's AI powered possibilities, it would not be such a huge step. it will be like an airport assistant using correct ground, departure, and arrival procedures and frequencies. I don't really want to start a difficult topic with all the unnecessary arguing, but just share a broader vision of possibilities that are available to us in this age... Kind regards, RWC.

It may be an issue to do that. Not sure if that is according to procedures. Never tried it myself. AFCS damper may also become issue if all 3 trimmers are not centered. But try again and wait for gyro to spin up 30-40 seconds. Do not disengage main gyro switch on this panel to test standby gyro ! Actually try not to touch anything. After 30-40 seconds on keyboard press J + 9 keys, both at the same time and hold for 1-2 seconds. Theoretically, it could work. In the end cage is used for reducing preparation time and only for emergency scramble to intercept upcoming threats. No need if you are "casual".

It's a good question. I've only used the normal procedure where you toggle them as needed, and wondered why it had a cage to toggle them all too....

No not that cage. The one on the bottom left that covers the gyros, radios, weapons IFF etcetera.

Hi there @Kurnass1977. Thanks for reporting the fratricide for M15. This is caused by the increased blast effect that was introduced with one of the recent DCS updates. Not complaining, though, because it is much more realistic now. However, it has lead to several missions having to be tweaked. I'll make sure to update this one also with the next update release. As for altitude, all of the above is correct. What you see on your instruments is not 'true' altitude. This is why you'll sometimes see both altitudes and fuel states being called out a little bit off from what you see on your instruments - and not only in Rampagers, but also in DCS' own comms with the carrier.

Hi, we have now assembled Vietnam War Vessels 2.1.0 and are testing it internally first. The RF-101B Voodoo will be included, but there is still stuff todo: KNOWN LIMITATIONS RF-101B The landing gear doors and covers don't close perfectly The landing gear suspension is not animated The BORT number should be five digits, not three The pilot is generic rather than specific for the Voodoo. Development of a custom Voodoo pilot is out of financial reach, if interested in sponsoring one contact TeTeT There are no pylons present currently, not even for fuel tanks The front gear is not animated for turning Anyway, here a teaser image:

'Automated' seems like a very bad idea. Automated to me, means you don't need to do anything yourself. Imagine every control tower on the map calling out to you: "Hey, do you want to land here?" "No, land HERE" "But I was first! They need to land HERE!" At a minimum, you'd need to contact ATC yourself: check in, declare intentions (touch-and-go, full stop landing, re-arm & refuel, emergency landing, ...). Other than that, yes ATC should guide you to line-up to the runway in IFR conditions, deconflict, tell you which taxiways to use and which parking spot, etc etc.

Had another user also encounter this issue with the DCS Kneeboard being transparent, just the tabs etc. displayed. Would be good to know if and how other folk who've hit this managed to resolve it, if at all.

Thanks for the tag. Yes - that was what I was "disappointed" with. Even for an early access there are an awful lot of inop panels/buttons. I hope this will all be added down the road.

The plan is simple for now. If the MiG-29A sells well they'll think about more modern redfor jets.

AI commander will create a mission for every AI unit but it simply is not up to your expectations. Independently of DC, AI is not as advanced as you want it to be and I can't agree with "AI bandits that cannot perform any realistic manouvers".

Hi all, I have checked with the team. DCS calculates illumination not time of day, if the target area is illuminated Petrovich will see targets, of course there are different lighting conditions so it wont always be perfect for spotting targets at night in illuminated areas. Please remember the Mi-24p is not a night attack helicopter. If you still think there is a problem its best to attach short track replays thank you

I not have VR. And Kamov HMS for me also have zoom in/out option. But its not so good as Fulcrum`s because you have to set upset for monocule in spec optiom. It can be helpful for AG ops, when you set upset closer to ground or for AA when you set upset=0. But seems its not very user friendly during flight because you can not tune it in flight. I used tint color from external view, its quite simillar (purple)

If you have already renamed Saved Games\DCS or MissionEditor then grab the news.lua file from that backup and attach here. Needing to get more copies of the bad news.lua file causing issues from people.

I am familiar with imperial units, alright, but it's simply unrealistic to use it for CW WarPac jet. Can somebody check if it works differently when you have DCS russian language set?

Each button in dcs has an "on" and "off" assignment. Use button xx as throttle cutoff. Then assign idle to the same button xx_off. Apologies if that doesn't make sense i found it very hard to put in words.
