Hi, thanks for the tip, however I only employ the LUA Console of the DCS-BIOS software, and that component seems to be working with no issues, my latest Module (the F-4U) is recognized. Perhaps other parts of the DCS-BIOS don't work nowadays, but for my needs I will keep using it until it actually does not work anylonger.

anyone know how to capture cockpit button presses?
No1sonuk replied to rocket302's topic in Home Cockpits
DCS-BIOS can do it, but I think it would be on an individual switch/button basis. i.e. you'd need to program every button/switch in every aircraft individually. That's A LOT of buttons! -
You are 4th on the ramp. You have to rush to cutoff your flight so they don't get ahead of you. is it possible to be slotted next to Paco?

That is the OLD version called "Hub" and is no longer maintained. I DO NOT recommend anyone to use it. IIRC, new modules aren't being added to it. The up-to-date version from the "Skunkworks" GitHub ( https://github.com/DCS-Skunkworks ) has an "older" version number because it was branched off the original DCS-BIOS before "Hub" was made, and hasn't incremented the numbers much. The Skunkworks version, formerly called the "Flightpanels Fork" is actively updated and maintained. Was it really the "old version", or was it the low-numbered Skunkworks version? As for the multiple connections: Tek Creations just today posted in the Skunkworks Discord about some new connection software they say will work with any DCS-BIOS device. I've not tried it, but the link is: https://github.com/tekcreations/TekConnect

Wrecking Crew started following Why are they firing?
-
It is definitely not working correctly. The ROE = Weps Hold should do the trick; I think you should report it as a bug. I added Alarm State = Green, and a Combined Arms Game Master and another heli. The Red armor forces shot at the Blue heli when they should not. You can get the 'no firing' condition by zeroing out the ammunition for each armor vehicle. PITA to be sure. See the attached modified mission. Mi-24 Gunnery WC01.miz

One problem model out of fifty... need help
TeTeT replied to Ripcord's topic in Static/AI Mods for DCS World
Hi Ripcord, Thanks for the invite and glad you found the problem! Directory hygiene is not always easy with DCS and modding. I use to quarantine most mods during development, so I can test one or a few assets in isolation. Not always an option or practical, though. I wouldn't know where to start with your armed buildings. Is there anything in particular for a 60-70ies SEA setting? Like hootches or Indochinese houses? We have two buildings in VWV, maybe it's an idea to arm them as well. Cheers, TeTeT -

^ Indeed. None of the warning lights seem to be working. That's unfortunate, beacuse this repaint is impressive otherwise.

Your RNZAF liveries look absolutely gorgeous in DCS, they really capture the beat-up look of these machines really nicely! Thanks for the heads-up btw, I'm gonna enjoy roaming around the DCS skies with these liveries

This helped me soooooo much! Thank you! I got all my Leo Bodnar button box switches working as I expected them too now because of this! Thanks so much!

The bizarre wish for subscriptions is malarkey. And yes, in some places DCS modules were sold as hard copies for a while. It's actually how I got to DCS in the first place.

EA-18G Style Electronic Warfare Script
gunterlund replied to __Timberwolf__'s topic in Scripting Tips, Tricks & Issues
Timber wanted to let you know I gave this a try and the defensive jamming worked really well. Im going to try offensive jamming next. For defensive jamming, Im curious if this will protect any friendly aircraft around me or only when the SAM is firing at me. If I have a friendly wingman next to or near me, and he is locked up by the SAM would my jamming save him. -
Were DCS modules ever sold as hard copies? Download is malarkey? That doesn’t make sense… This doesn’t strike me as the type of game someone would rent. It’s not like some game you play through in 20 hours or so and then quit. Those possibly made sense to rent but not this.

MAXsenna started following Cannot Enter Offline Mode (Error 500 & 401)
-
Yeah, this is an issue with connection with the validation servers. Either it's on your end, or the servers has hickups. That is the exact error people get when they are kicked off for no reason. Cheers! Edit: Run the DCS icon and not the Updater, and it will ask you to update, which you can cancel anyway. It will NEVER force you to update. Sent from my SM-A536B using Tapatalk

Totally agree. It really depends of the price of the subscription, and how long you've planed to stay. In the long run paying full price of front will be cheaper. I'm not sure how much I've paid, but I don't think I'm far off with USD2000 the last ten years. So that will be cheaper than UAD19.90 every month for 10 years. Hi, I know how to take off and land on carrier, but can't start the quals. It keeps "awaiting salute gesture" at parking... no command to request launch seems to work. Thanks

A lot of online servers, when you try to connect to them, require permission 'for the server to take screenshots'. There has been some debate about it when the feature was introduced, I seem to recall it is considered a bit of an anti-cheat bit somehow, but frankly, that isn't what I want to get into right now. Instead, quick question: What does the server actually take a screenshot of? Or more precisely: Can any of the online server admins, who ever took a look at one of those, actually tell me what all they show? Is it solely the DCS window? Is it the screen that DCS is running on? Is it all the screens?

mkel2010 started following Map Haze/Fog Layer in VR
-
I have some of the missions I use in VR showing a thick, circular haze/fog layer that I can't seem to get rid of. The mission is set with no clouds and base and thickness set to the minimums. It makes if very difficult to see the F-16 HUD symbols as they get washed out against the white background. It doesn't happen as bad in every mission, but the haze is there at a much greater distance in all of them. I use the Re-Shade mod and have the haze set to .10. Here's a screenshot to show what I mean.

QF-4 livery and pilot disable draw argument

There’s a few QF skins, can’t remember the authors, but go through the skins and they will be found.
