If I recall, I currently have the mirrors set to the max resolution, and turned off sequential mirrors. I’ll report back if I start experiencing low mirror FPS again. DCS used to have the option of setting lower resolution on mirrors which worked well. But then that option disappeared for a while. This new system, when it drops the mirrors into low FPS, makes it seem like the mirrors are running on a seperate CPU processor. It’s a very weird, disjointed effect. That first night it didn’t always run in low FPS, but it seemed to drop into low FPS based on graphical demands. It was weird because it happened even if the mirrors were set at the lowest resolution.

Btw, the _downloads folder is just the temporary folder used to download the update. So you could have just deleted that first, if it was corrupted then copying it directly may not have solved it.

Could anyone advise what is the correct/best way to configure DCS settings as there are so many options that could possibly conflict with each other I dont know if I am doing it correctly. I have a Pimax Crystal Light and a RTX4080 and as far as I can see the options I have are DCS Launcher settings DCS In-game settings Pimax Play settings Nvidia App settings 1. Should I launch DCS from the Pimax Play software or the Nvidia App or the DCS Shortcut (Does it make any difference)? 2. If I have configured options in the Nvidia App and I then change settings in the DCS Launcher screen which options does it use? Thanks for any suggestions

Here's the actual file, drop it in that location. This approach definitely works. So either it's in the wrong location, your text editor named the file autoexec.cfg.txt and your Windows is hiding file extensions and you're only seeing the .cfg part, or you're overriding it somewhere else. Your screenshots show you overriding stuff so may be conflicting Try the file first. autoexec.cfg

Definitely should be considered. They went above and beyond with the visor in the mig. But introduced some small unintended consequences. I hope ED takes a look at your feedback before copy/pasting the visor to other ED platforms.

Not sure if this is a bug or not, but has anyone been successful in getting ILS to work? I have the PRMG channels set in the DTC options. When I select A/D and RSBN with the switch in AUTO, I get a course indication but no localizer or glideslope. I have tried also in MANUAL mode to no avail. Do I need to add an RSBN car to the runway to get ILS indication like with RSBN?

First, the good: ED has done an outstanding job of modeling the Fulcrum. The visuals look great, the performance feels right, and it provides a great suspension of disbelief; it feels like you’re in an early 4th gen fighter. The bad: I’ve always suspected, read, heard that the 4th gen Russian aircraft were high performance, short legged, and barely more advanced than a household microwave. They could climb and turn as well as anything, but could do so for barely any time, and were so primitive they wouldn’t be effective in a peer to peer environment. The ugly: The sim confirms the bad. The radar is barely functional, the cockpit ergonomics are horrendous, and the RWR is basically just a noisemaker with flashing lights. So, having said the above, I think the MiG is going to take a ton of practice in order to be able to use effectively.

You're both not anserwing the question, though. The inner scale on the ASI is supposed to indicate a Mach number. There is a mach number shown in the upper right quadrant of the ASI, but the shown number has no pointer and 330KIAS at 29000ft is not Mach 0.7 It's not correct as is @NineLine

It depends on whether the channels are set up properly to hear them, and on a map, like Caucasus, that has them.

Tried making myself an unlimited spawn training mission with infinite fuel and ammo on the mig-29A and no matter where I set the option, be it via script, waypoint action or mission options I cannot get it to to work. The override box is unchecked in the gameplay tab.
