Just been playing with various settings. I was able to reduce the “swirls” by selecting the custom DFR option and increasing the central image to 50% V@H, which is counter productive in that a performance hit has to be taken. Sadly I am disappointed with this update as the swirls were a distraction and a big let down. I have disabled Pimax QV and Reinstalled QVFR AND QVC on top of the most recent patch but do use the Pimax Sharpening set to 0.8. The result is the image is as clean and sharp as I have seen to date at 72 FPS. I did not notice stuttering over Afghanistan but need to do more testing on other maps. HTH

Yes. That's why I propose a modest fee. For instance, ED could still provide the free (unedited) Caucasus map for entry level users, but then offer an "upgrade" (modernized map) for like $19.99. The other maps could be handled like they did with the F-5E (granted, ED got a little heat for that). Anyway, all of this would be feasible and (mostly) welcomed by the community.
-
ED has no interest in doing anything on the A-10C, already sold to everyone who wants it. Still lot work to do, but as always... nothing!
-
Interesting that module developers have to create this stuff themselves. I guess I thought that ED provided some sort of dev kit for official modules that contained building blocks like this.

Where can I delete the OH6GunnerExport script? I'm using the official version, not the Steam version.
-
Could be, I think some of the ranges may have been updated.
-
I bought it on the ED website for R$330 in direct conversion to the dollar, and on Steam it's R$288. So on Steam it's at a much bigger discount than on the website. It would be a 43% discount on the full price.

Sniper Pod - lack of focus makes it nearly unusable at night

Hello, Are you sure you are showing right video ? It looks like video presented is actually AN/ASQ-228 ATFLIR. Just being tested on F-16 and F-15 by Edwards. -
1978 an argument between Soviet Premier Alexei Nikolayevich Kosygin and American President Jimmy Carter over who has the most spectacular Lava Lamp collection, leads to border clashes along the southern West/East German border. Mostly a show thing, artillery and bullets flying over the border both ways, causing little damage. But a large Soviet column is spotted heading towards the border, and fears of this phony war going real seems dangerously close to reality. Anti Soviet partisans in East Germany blows a small bridge, causing the column of 200 vehicles to stop. F-4s are sent in to give the Soviet forces something they did not expect.

This is a valid request that makes sense and has been requested before. But because it makes sense, that can't happen. This is sarcasm by the way.

Caucasus is still one of my favourites, feels like coming home I've flown it to much, don't need a map to know where I am

First and foremost, I love DCS World and I play it very active with my Friends. This is also my first bug report since 2011 and for me to do this, something big has to have happened... While things like the TD Box in the Jeff were annoying, currently, the AI does not seem to be able to detect an Active Radar Homing Missile. Tests were done with the AIM-120B, AIM-120C, AIM-54C, R-77, SD-10 and R-77-1. Track will be provided as attachment. I would like to notify people that Tests with a clean DCS World install have been conducted. The Track File provided has Mods installed, but it is not the cause of the Bug. Friends found the same issue and during a public questioning on Spuds Server, Killshot also tested it and found the issue. Perhaps I'm really complaining on a high note here, I really don't want to upset anybody but given the lack of attention to this bug on the various Discords and Forums... Am I the only one who thinks that such a Bug is... borderline unacceptable to be around for one Month? I fly DCS a lot, and sure it doesnt stop you from playing the Game itself. But Fox 3 BVR is one of the major parts of Modern Air Combat. And for Singleplayer Mission/Campaign creators like me and my Friends, this is almost game-breaking since it completely destroys a properly created dynamic Combat environment and ruins realism and immersion as a Fox 3 Missile is guaranteed to hit an enemy Aircraft currently... Lastly, I forgot to add that, as an experienced Mission maker, I of course tripple checked the correct "Reaction to Threat", "RoE" and "Usage of Weapons" Commands for the AI. I have also tested it with every AI Difficulty level. I hope this brings some attention to the Issue so that it is at least patched in the next big Update... As of right now, we unfortunately cannot play any modern BVR Sorties. Fox3.trk

That's not a reasonable comment. The PG map got an excellent night lighting update a while ago and it's a good looking map. I think the night lighting was kind of a tech demo and it looks excellent. The NTTR is old but there are a surprising amount of people, like myself, who really enjoy it. I bought the NTTR map in 2018. Hard to call it abandonware when it's worked properly and enjoyably, in my case, for seven-years. As for the Caucasus, I think it should stay on the "simple side". It's a good free map that everyone can run well. We have lots of big new maps that are heavy on the specs, so having the Caucasus as a spec-friendly map for new players or those with older PCs is a good idea.
-
You have to remember terrain tools are always updating and older terrains will have used earlier versions of the tools. Its not always a simple matter for updating to newer ones, there will be a lot of work involved. And while we would like to revisit older projects, as we have in the past the main issue is having free dev time for it, currently the teams are all very busy, hopefully in the future we can. thanks

I would say all three could use a serious update: NTTR - could more like Afghanistan Caucasus - could be more like CWG Persian Gulf - could be more like Syria Also, I'm sure most players would also pay a modest fee for such upgrades if they were actually agreed to by ED.

And part of pressurization system no doubt

What you buy depends on what you want out of your simulation experience. I happen to like "closest-to-real" equipment to what I'm flying. I've been using Thrustmaster since the early '90s. Currently, I'm using the Thrustmaster AVA base with the latest F-16 stick, but the old Cougar F-18 stick. You swap them out on the same base. I've been flying the F-16 for decades, but the last 5 months have switched to the F-18 and have the F-18 stick mounted. It only takes seconds to swap the sticks out. I'm also using the TM Viper TQS (Throttle Quadrant System - has a small panel with knobs and switches on it), but its quality has been questionable. In addition, flying a two engine aircraft with only one throttle is a little awkward, but not a real problem for me. The generic sticks and throttles have the advantage of having more buttons on them to program.
