  2. ED claims that it's specifically unable to blank out the HPRF waveform. So what do those documents say on that.
  3. Generally speaking, Is the frame rate penalty with mirrors on the same as before?
  4. 1st. So issues is that lock is lost very easy, target needs to do just crank left or right 45+ deg and lock is lost. And it doesn't matter if target is above horizon or under it. This aplies to all modes, worst is P mode, then AUTO CMBT and Head on is only mode that gives a chance to hit target before lock loss. This aplies to range up to 25km max. 2nd Issue comes from close range, if you hold lock and let target to come closer than 10km, 90% it will lose lock, only moment when it wont is when target is in your HUD. 3rd Vertical radar mode 99% won't lock target, only moment i found it that it works is when target is cold, not maneuvering and above horizon. 4th Issue with Persuit mode or Auto, scan rate is way too long it makes no sense. Again speaking for range up to 25km max. Tacview-20250920-013550-DCS.zip.acmi
  5. Disabling secondary shadows fixed it, thank you! Good idea, but renaming the folder didn’t fix anything for me, however when I turned off secondary shadows everything went back to normal
  6. I've just had the exact same problem this evening. Because of the uploaded files I haven't added a track. Two AI harriers set to take of from Kandahar on Afghanistan. They taxi to the runway and then the trail aircraft applied wheel chocks and the two just sat there blocking the runway and stopping the mission as already described in the original post.
  7. Hey man, thanks for the aswer... Yes those are DCS Aircraft modules profiles... I made my own Mig-29 Fulcrum keybinding and yet it dont appear there.. The big problem is, since the aircraft module dont have support from winwing SimAppPro, vibration dont work. @WINWING @WinwingTech How can I manually add profiles from official DCS aircrafts modules that dont appear on my SimAppPro? Do you plan supporting all DCS aircraft modules?

  9. Best I can find, the -15 has downed seven MiG-29’s in total (5 in Desert Storm, 2 in Kosovo). My big takeaway from the DCS module so far is that the avionics are just stunningly bad… the radar is pretty rough and the RWR is almost useless. The HMD is pretty cool and adds some nice capability within visual range, if you can manage to survive that long.
  10. Drift is modeled in TGP. And you can test it if you want. This misalign described it's not related to INS Drift, try to do INS Fixes procedures and you'll see with your eyes that even if you do a perfect Fix you will not correct this. It's subtle but enough big to make DTOS unreliable with GP bombs. Inviato dal mio 24069PC21G utilizzando Tapatalk
  11. First and foremost, congratulations on yet another fantastic aircraft ED! Each one keeps breaking the barrier, and here, I see multiple broken at once! Splendid work! Now, I notice that when selecting loadout, pylons are loaded symmetrically. What I'm missing, however, is the ability to load a mixed loadout (seen multiple instances of those) where a R-27R on one side is complemented by a R-27T. Also, while not correct according to the technical specification, some less developed countries (Iraq) have show the use of these aircraft with (non-Warsaw Pact) with bombs on individual stations. It would allow to simulate that. The 27R/T mix is the most important though, and historically accurate for this model (9.12A). Keep up the awesome work!

  13. You must change the avionics language to default/metric on the gameplay tab in the general settings. Hopefully this will be an eye opener for ED, so this setting can be set individually for all modules in the special settings down the line. Cheers! Sent from my SM-A536B using Tapatalk
  14. Actually, the MiG-29 has plenty of fuel, granted, you respect fuel (most modules don't teach you that, unless you focus on realism yourself). The three main points that I'll give free are as follows; a) The MiG-29 has superb aerodynamics, chief amongst - lift. With full loadout, she cuts through air, yet maintains altitude with relatively little AOA. This is basically inherenr, but it's worth remembering, as there isn't much to be gained in terms of fuel efficiency between half-full -> full loadout (whatever the mission). b) Thrust-to-weight. She has immense power, as such, once you get up in the air, and to an adequate speed (500km/h true airspeed+), if you plan on a long on-station time, give her maximum 85% engine power (this will vary depending on the climate, but I'm talking worst case scenario (hot )). At this setting, you can clomb delicately, and she will hold 870km/h+ in level flight. At high altitude, she will do sub mach 1 with 85% engine power. You can maintain an even lower airspeed, which will further increase economy (80% - 85% play can yield 600km/h+ for optimal range). c) MiG-21Bis alreqsy required this, but now, a more common (to the public) aircraft will show the importance of flight profile and pre-brief planning. Notice the constantly calculated estimated range as you increase altitude. In this aircraft, unless the missipn very specifically demands it, or you are having a short flight, you really want to start your flight with "high". Typically, a high-low-high will be optimal for ground attack, and a high-high-high profile will yield 2hrs+ on-station time in a CAP capacity. Get over 8km, preferably 10km altitude, and watch the range increase to way high numbers (no external fuel tank). As to what profile is most recommended, depends on many factors, but you really cannot go weong with either 800km/h+ low altitude and pull up on AB, nor a gradual altitude increase over distance/time. Again, much depends on mission and what climate/weather you are flying in. Finally, it's worth watching YT videos to see how IRL pilots of e.g. "MiGFlug" ride their passangers (they have their profile tuned for optimal fuel consumption). There is an insane amount of good metrics and habits to extract from these videos.
  15. Do whatever floats your boat. I fly this sim since Lomac 2007. I've been all around flying with narrow FOV until I changed to wide. I can't stand narrow FOV anymore. And yes, I can still read the gauges without zooming. Zooming in, out and reset to normal are right on my fingertips through HOTAS buttons if needed. Peripheral vision and not the effect on looking through a straw or with a horse blinder. Easy to see missile smoke, references for AAR while still looking forward, bandits sneaking up, better awareness at a messy merge, better handling in a scissor. This effect is completely bypassed by your brain in combat. You don't see it at all. And even if noticeable, completely fair of a sacrifice. Again, need to be close to the screen. If that's the case, you're far from the screen, hence everything feels more 'in scale' with narrow FOV. Cheers. All it matters is the fun. Disregard whatever doesn't vibe with you. Happy Flying.
  16. How's the FOV with the 57PPD? TIA
  17. Hi all. I have the the dcs "system" in imperial units due to I usually fly nato planes. The cockpit have imperial units. is it not possible to change it to the metric system?. Im using the cockpit in english but I want the original unit of the mig. Im looking for in special options, the manual... but I dont find nothing.
  18. To my knowledge exports are disabled when in VR, but I'm not sure if one can mod it. If one can mod it, the changes were overwritten for sure during the update, and you will have to mod it again. Cheers! Sent from my SM-A536B using Tapatalk
  19. It's actually splendid. If you don't focus on the frame, your eyes will naturally blur it (out of focus). If you focus on it, your eyes will adjust. Without making the effect delete your framerate, it's actually splendid. I suggest you try a real helmet first, or simulate having something with a frame in front of your eye. ! The monocole on apache is practically pushing up against your eyebrow (it's very close to the eye). In comparison, the monocle sight is at a distance from the pilot's face, hence it being that much more visible. All is bueno! (Except light making it through pilot's head).
  20. Yes, please. This should be done in the Ka-50 too. Sent from my SM-A536B using Tapatalk
  21. Complain to mission makers, not the realism of the module. What westeners do not get a 100% of the time, is that USSR built its air force primarily on the principle of cooperation between a single unit (aircraft) and a controller. Already that early, GCI was demanded, eventually an AWACS with compatible aircraft with datalink (Su-27). You can absolutely NOT approach a MiG-29 with the western wet dream of "I'll jump in my F-15 and win the war alone". Sooner or later, DCS would impact this wall, and imposr a very harsh reality on its (mostly) uninformed community. The current fidelity of aircraft released (and technologies available for/in DCS) makes that rather sooner. These aircraft are far too tuned to very specific requirements, for you to be able to simply throw away a component of them and try to make them into what they are not. A similar question would be to ask for a BF-109K4 to carry AIM-120C3 because today, a radar could be mounted on it and missiles fit. What you should be asking yourself is not "what aircraft do I want to fly, and let me use it at my own behest", but rather what mission interests you, as well as which doctrine speaks to you. (IRL, a GCI/AWACS would tell you about aircraft in the area, as well as missile launches. RWR was therefore supplemental at best, hence why no MiG-29 alone will be Captain America). If you want more realism, consider that upon the introduction of MiG-29, and for quite some time after that, MiG-29s would meet F-16s with heat seekers (AIM-9). I won't even mention F-4 and the reliability of radar guided missiles back then...

  24. What about Train Sim World 6?
  25. Yep, but the one we have is the least seen around. I would like to have the one in picture, still waiting to find someone able to do it unfortunately

  27. Yeah so the SPO-15 maintenance document has a whole section on "blanking" the SPO for use with the radar, so I think "as modeled" currently its some reversion mode (which well, probably right if it wasn't maintained). And post collapse of the SU I bet many countries had shortages of parts/trained techs to maintain em, so you get all the stories of it working this way. But at least based on the doc it does interface with the radar and should be usable when its transmitting. Also the overbleed is likely a symptom of it starting to desynch.
