I found that Essex style approaches weren't working for me so a slightly different style of curve, maintaining altitude so I could keep visual on the angle, cracked it. overshoot the centre line, maintain alt. Keep speed up AOA low for a good view of the deck. ..

I think this kind of threads are very natural. There have been words of ''not planned'' going around this subject. The F-15C was also ''not in the plans'' until we had the surprise announcement of the module being shown as soon to come in DCS. Perhaps an NTTR upgrade goes on the same road. NTTR is an old map and the community shows there is a market for an upgrade (paid product). -

Ah okay, I understand now - that is really good to know. Thank you for attaching the lua list too, very helpful. I am still hoping that getInventory can be fixed at some point to include all vanilla munitions however - that is certainly something that I would consider a bug/issue. -
Block 3Fs entered OT&E in 2018 and can carry external A2G loads on stations 2/3/9/10 and SRAAMs on stations 1/11. If you're referring to the 14 AMRAAM + 2 SRAAM "beast mode", It's planned for Block 4.

Still not resolved, they offered to send me another optical engine, but would have taken 1 -2 weeks, I probably would have gone for this if they had been able to send me the micro-OLED version but they said it wasn't available yet. So having seen the performance and visuals, it's just not a big enough jump for me over my OG Crystal, so I will keep using that one and return the Crystal Super. Will certainly consider the Dream Air when I've seen more pros and cons.

Doing more testing, I tried manually choosing my IP using a distinctive ground feature, then depressing the pickle button over that feature rather than when the sight was over the target. It was a shack - perfect hit. But the sight was still well short of the target when I was over the IP, consistent with my bombs always landing long. When I use the sight to identify the IP the bombs always seem to release when over the target rather than ahead of it, so they’re always long. Manual IP worked perfectly. This was of course after calculating the distance from IP to target, inputting the info into the bombing table, and setting the sight depression to the correct mils setting. I flew it a bit higher (500agl) in order to get a more defined sight picture. Coming in low it can be tough to know exactly when the sight is over the target. I have done all my testing so far with snakes, which I note @BJ55 you didn’t test with. Maybe there’s an error in the bombing table sight depression calculation for snakes? The data input by jester was all correct as indicated by my successful attack from a defined IP. It seems to be an issue with the sight - either I’m doing something wrong or there’s a calculation error.

Hey its a revelation to talk to someone who has the same set up as me. I cannot believe we are the only two in the world but maybe the only two that are happy to share stuff. I AM new to DCS and have flown the F18 for about 9 months now. I have a guy who runs a great Server called "The Damned" and Bob ( The owner) has given me lessons whenever I have asked him and he is really good at it. He is on EST and I am in the UK, so we work it out, but he is a VR addict and has no knowledge of the factual instrument world although he appreciates its immersive abilities. I am going to study your post re the connections for a start and see if I can negate the screen program that would be very good and hand back to Windows. The thought of overlaying Virtual desk top and magic mouse or whatever on all of this was to me a novice very foreboding. In you screen res on n DCS My main screen is 3440 x 1440 and capable of 240 refresh but as said before cannot get that to work. Maybe some of your tips will fix that. Can you show me a screen shot of where I edit my screen stats as I am not quite sure about this. Thank you for the input its much apprecaited

Plain simply, it takes developer's time and has no factual backing that such configuration ever existed. That's what's "wrong" with this. You are free to make a wish, but don't get upset when that wish isn't granted.

I strongly suspect, that your experience is limited to head on engagements, that start in mid air head on. In PvP environment such experience is useless. Average flying MiG will go below you - to make your radar useless. Without doppler radar on board F-4 your AiM-7 has no advantage over R-27. You'll lose a lock anyway. You have 2 options: If you fly low like he is - you're already half dead. Boresight is your best option here, and only if your opponent is naive enough to fly Headon. MiG 29 will see you first, so he will maneuver first. Mostly to place himself behind you. In most cases you end up in turn fight against MiG-29. You're low - soon you'll end up low and slow. If you stay high you'll become a victim of giraffe and effect will be the same. One more thing - flying with 4+4 AAM in F-4 is bad idea IMHO. Even against MiG-21, not mentioning MiG-29. Such payload makes you slow, acceleration even in dive is very limited, loss of speed in turn is dramatic. Range of the radar is small (surprise surprise it's not a Tomcat) and that means that you'll use not more than 2x AiM-7 in single head on. After that, the other 2x AiM-7 are nothing more than extra drag and extra weight. Most cases I fly 2x AiM-7 + 2x or 4x AiM-9. If I fail to use both AiM-7 before turnfight, my chances of winning against MiG-21 are seriously limited. So I always shoot both AiM-7 even if there's no chance to hit. Just to make my plane more agile. To have a chance against F1 and MiG-21 in turnfight, or just to outclimb / outrun them. (Outrunning F-1 is even than very hard, and F-4 needs one more trick to survive) I fly over 20 years. I doubt there is a trick that I don't know about. You may try to outsmart MiG-29. In the Holy Bible of Fighter Pilots R. Shaw describes many so called "Stunt tactics" - so you don't have to be creative. Just pick one. Some of them work in DCS, another don't. But all of them work only once or twice. After that it's like he wrote: "If you have no effective advantage that you may use against your enemy, you have very low chance to win". Yes Tomcat armed in AiM-7 may stand against MiG-29. No F-4 armed in AiM-7 can't. Simple. But you're welcome to try. Any PvP server (Buddyspike 80 for example) will cure you from illusions. Anyway... most of my colleagues (just as old as I am) doesn't even bother to take R-27 on MiG-29. Just 6x Fox2. Even F-15 isn't safe if it's not armed with AiM-120. F-4 is just a target for them and they'll win 10 out of 10 not even concentrating on game that much.

Imperial 9.12A with cockpit in english also never existed so no difference here. "Some variant" is a bad excuse for implementation. A variant of the MiG-29 had been equipped with the R-77-1, kh-35s and so on. Doesn't make us have those weapons on the 9.12A Anyway, what's actually wrong, how will the metric F-15C affect your gameplay? You won't use it and won't know if anyone uses it
