  1. Past hour
  2. I have set up a mission for practicing with the BAT bomb. There are 4 large ships (easy targets) and I have 3 wingmen, each carrying a BAT bomb. I hit the ship I locked on to every time. I'm actually surprised how easy it is to destroy a ship with this weapon. But the wingmen always drop them in the water, far from the ships. It looks as if they handled the BAT bombs like standard AN-MXX GP bombs.
  3. I wasn't trying to convince you of anything, so that makes sense.
  4. Have you tried 72Hz with a FPS setting of at least 120 FPS in DCS? I can´t run on 90Hz, my rig does not have the performance for it.
  5. That's odd. Are you capping your frame rate in DCS?
  6. Hi. It turns out I found the mentions because it was on another thread instead. See this locked thread page and NineLine posts from January. Cheers. P.S.: I'm not saying it is 'official'. I'm just reiterating my previous mention's details on the correct thread. "everything is subject to change"
  7. F-18 aileron travle with flaps down wrong.trkhere it is
  8. I looked at this in depth and found: 1. The BAT bomb functionality seems to be Work in Progress. When I look at the related lines in "clickabledata.lua" there is a comment "/R/ Bat bomb - Experimental" 2. Radar ON/OFF 3-position switch behaves as you describe. I could make it work with some LUA edit. See below. 3. Search button: I bound it to a push button and it does stay in when I depress the button briefly. So I cannot confirm your finding. 4. Target Lock button: Confirm it works as one would expect. For the Radar ON/OFF 3-position switch, I found that the binding "BAT Bomb Scope ON" works as expected. To implement the other 2 positions I added these 2 lines to "default.lua": {down = device_commands.BatBomb_RadarOnOFF, cockpit_device_id = devices.BATBOMB, value_down = 0.0, name = _('BAT Bomb 3-Pos Hold 1 Min'), category = _('Weapons')}, {down = device_commands.BatBomb_RadarOnOFF, cockpit_device_id = devices.BATBOMB, value_down = -1.0, name = _('BAT Bomb 3-Pos Set Off'), category = _('Weapons')}, I bound the 3 commands to a pushbutton each and I can now switch to all 3 positions freely. However, I'm not sure that the command "BAT Bomb 3-Pos Hold 1 Min" does anything. Anyway, I ran a mission with some ships to go through all steps and it works fine now.
  9. Room for new cargo models as well. ...oh well. Dreaming is free.
  10. Oh, is it DCS voice/radio chat?
  11. lol Side or not side, it is unable to reliably track anything. I'm sure 'skill' may be also an issue, but the agm45 is perhaps the crappiest weapon in whole of DCS.
  12. In real MiG reacquiring the lock is possible and useful and recommended by real manual. But not in Su-27. MiG stores it's guiding signal at all times, Su generates a new one with each lock.
  13. I've always adored this heli. Pure wow factor every time I used to see it in documentaries. Plus it have the AAR capability, so it would be a first heli in DCS to be able to do that. Plus while hauling something underneath. If the FF C-130 gets an air refuel system and the CH-53 is in DCS, we'll be able to do this madness in co-op.
  14. Ch53 Super Stallion or King Stallion would be great. Iconic helo
  15. Finally!
  16. All buttons are perfectly usable in DCS setups, I use the PFP-7 in the A-10 and Apache, so there's nothing stopping you from using the functionality mind you I fly VR, so the screen does not have any added value (though I still would love to see things fully functional)
  17. Agreed...I don't know if there are Autobahn runways planned for the CW map, but I'd like to see a few robust autobahn runways modeled after real-life areas, with all the hotpit refueling, rearming, ATC, etc. This would add to the realism and enthusiasm for the map and its potential scenarios. Thanks for your time.
  18. What voice? Your ingame character voice? Your voice with the ingame Voip? If we want to troubleshoot this, you have to provide a whole lot more infos.

  20. I always love these videos... lol (sorry unrelated)
  21. You're the man! That quiz is really helpful! But if I may make a suggestion, it would be to include the airframe of the respective radar in the provided answers - that's the information which is the most important for me as a pilot in the end.
  22. ED has only given a side note, just as ED has done with other modules in the past. Until there's a big "official" announcement, everything will continue as usual. Has M3 officially said anything about this? Has it confirmed any official modules?
  23. Thanks for taking your time to watch the track! I am fully ok with the amount of the error. It's a bit hard to explain, but the issue is that the error is always pointing south. If you come from the south as I aligned, it will be a bit short but ok when you lock at about the same distance. It works as intended there. However, if I come in from the west the error points south (to my right) and if I come in from the east then it still points south (to my left). Offsets should be angles (with parallax error of course) but not north or south. It's an angular error, not a cartesian one. It should always be short / left / right then, no matter the direction I am flying too.
  24. Man what a cool concept! I can't wait to check it out!
  25. Today
  26. Ships and other unit damage model improvements are planned for the future, it wont happen soon as we already have a lot of work to do. We have adjusted some warheads recently and that will help, and we are also working on better fragmentation that will also enhance the current implementation. thank you
