Your buddy Kenan (who at one point was kicked from your squad for saying stupid crap on these boards) gets neg rep because he says things that deserve it. The point of the rep system is to show your approval or disapproval of someones post. It's not my problem if he can't think before he types. You on the other hand just neg repped me because Kenan is crying to you so if anyone is abusing the system it is you. Stick to moderating your squad and not my forum activities.

Hi guys. Im new to the community. Im in but a little late took me a while to check out this game and get rid of all my WW2 flightsims So im here to start all over again. I already played all missions in the game. So im looking for the multiplayer part now. I got everything installed hypperlobby, teamspeak etc. But I wanna know how I can fasten up my learning curve you guys got any tips? Thank you in advance! Deno

Anyone else find it amusing that the ABRIS system has more functionality than the current ME?? Stuff like naming individual waypoints, drawing FLOT lines, etc . . . these are things that would be really nice to have in the ME. So it looks like the more advanced mission design will need to be done while airborne--but only if you happen to be flying in the Ka-50 . . . ED is sooo weird!! They can make such an unbelievably advanced FM and now avionics, yet things like a logical GUI and Mission Editor that every $5 game has they can barely manage . . . :cry: Sorry about the negativity, just been a bit frustrated with Lock-on lately . . .

Why am I not suprised that you will send neg rep, afterall you and your fellow squadmate Bsr LOC use this very system to bully and harrass other people like little playground bullies when the teacher is not around cause you got the ok from wags statement that the rep system or PMs are not moderated. That is a common thing for any tranciver device, only with freq the tolerance gets smaller. And if you can train this bunch: to maintain an F-16.... you can train just about anyone to do just about anything :lol:

Iguana....I understand your point abouthigh power rf circuits, but I believe the internet has created a quite a few people skilled in fibre optics if a bloomin bt engineer can produce a splice in the field it cant be that "magical" now can it?

Iguanaking - I'm not talking about things that they're going to implement by Xmass here, just what I think could be the capabilities of a system if it integrated some existing technologies. If they develop the technology they'll have to make it serviceable & they'll have to train the technicians. When they put the first gas turbine in a tank I bet most of the guys doing diesel maint went - 'no way' & said 'how will they maintain it' - but they do. I don't know how to maintain or repair the radar absorbing material on the outside of an F-22, I'm guessing you don't either - but it's probably pretty specialised & needs the right gear - & presumably somebody on the bases they operate out of will know how to do it ...

All you guys have valid points, but to clear up some issues, IRST does not primaraly depend on image quality (adaptive optics) simply because you are just trying to detect the source, no image it (yet), also the discussion about irradience is correct, but as you all stated, larger diameter = higher angular resolution, this can be improved via 2 or more detectors placed at a distence and measured coherentley (phase) which can be easaly done via optical fibres. with this respect you could have x amount of gimbled detectors on you aircraft all linked together to provide the same irrediance with much higher angular detection. Just think about it. PS the detectors may only be the size of a AIM-9 head or so behind a indium-tin oxide window to preserve X-band conductivity

He must be using a LCD. 1.333 is correct aspect ratio for CRT monitor but LCD aspect varies from 1.25 (majority) to 1.6 and even 1.77. depends on what size you use ("normal" or widescreen). Cool vid mate. Rep inbound. :thumbup:

Renaming these files will give you the Su-33 cockpit instead of the Su-27's but this will not give you the ability to have a hook or refueling probe. These are hardcoded into the game/Su-33 and cannot be ported into any other aircraft. At the moment there is no way to enable any other flyable aircraft with refueling/hook capability. Shots, you can do 2 things to have a flyable F/A-18. 1. You can change the Humancockpit=No to yes in the meinit.xml, this will give you the F/A-18 with the Su-27 flight model and cockpit. This includes the ability to use both AAM's and dumb bombs. 2. Back up the F-15 model files in the bazar/world/shapes folder, copy the F/A-18 model files and rename them to the F-15. This replaces the external F-15 model and so will give you the F/A-18 with the F-15 cockpit and flight model but you will only have the ability to use AAM's. You will also need to copy the pylon data for the F/A-18 in the meinit file over the F-15 pylon data for the weapons to be in the proper position. As you can see both options have compromises. If you want the second let me know and I'll make a mod up for you.

I had the very same problem.....till i fixed it. I changed the timeout settings in the config file but that didnt really help. I think the problem is due to overly long load times that is compunded by the large multiplayer maps often used by the big HL servers (77th/504 and particularly 169th) Since upgrading my very old (but reliable) hard drive to a newer faster one the problem has vanished. I hope this helps.

It's the brain of the pilot that is most at risk of getting fried. It's not only the Aesa radar, but the sensor fusion that will give such a tremendous informatiion flow in the cockpit that situational awareness will be extremely enhanced, possibly to the level of "overloading" the human pilot. The whole idea, copied from the F-117's philosophy, is to display the threat emmitors' range and location so that you can actually fly around the enemy's defenses (both air and ground) without being detected. This all being done at supercruise speeds will give a totally new pace to warfare. You'll need the best of the best to exploit this to the full, or they will have a nervous breakdown even before any enemy defenses can even engage them.

Yep... Oh and about the radar. The Raptors radar beam changes direction, power, and shape so fast that RWR's have a hard time finding it. It won't matter if they detect the radar on an RWR anyways, as the Raptors radar will direct a full power beam of energy at the bandit and effective turn his plane into a WW1 biplane from overloading the sensors. ;) Thats at least whats been published about it, and that's only 10% of its capability I bet ya.

Raptor info over load. Well now, There is quite a bit of new sensors aboard the F-22. If a jet is to be un detected how does it detect other air-craft? A good hint Shock wave Tec. Conventional radar weather it spans 100 different wavelengs can be "spoofed" but the enemy aircraft always has an IR, radio wave, and shock wave sig. Do some home work boys and think of the un-thinkable. It will give you the edge in combat against the lerker above. Also remember its not the plane is the pilot who flys it. I have come to realize that if you want to keep a thread on the front page for any length of time just add the words "F-22 owns" in the header.

I know it's strategy-wise 'unrealistic', but it would be great to use the Kuz (especially if near shore) for some helo attacks. And yes, 0.02$ reward goes to the first guy who helps me out with the answer!
