Welcome to Lockon Community Exercise Red Flag 2008. This thread is an information thread only, just as last years threads. It ill be designed to dessiminate information to the community about this first mission LOCERF 08-1. PLEASE DO NOT POST IN THE GENERAL INFORMATION THREAD UNLESS YOU ARE A MODERATOR. Please post your questions etc over on the 159th forums found here: http://www.the159th.com/forum It will continue to be the offical spot for all planning etc. LOCERF 08-1 DATES: The next mission will commence at 1400 zulu on 16 February 2008. If you are interested in participating in the next RedFlag please PM me no later than 26 January 2008 at 1200 zulu. You must include in your post: Number of Slots Requested The type of aircraft you request (for example 159th requests 4 Su-25t's and 4 Su-33's) If you do not PM me with this information then you will not be considered for the next mission. All Lonewolf Pilots: Please PM with the same information. You will be required to pass a checkride in order to participate in the mission. (This is true for lonewolf pilots who have not participated in previous events.) The number of pilots that wil participate in this mission will depend on what server we use and how many people apply IF YOU REQUEST A SLOT IN REDFLAG YOU MUST BE ABLE TO FILL IT!!!!!! In the past we have had teams who decided to leave or pull out of the mission at the last moment. Please be considerate of your team mates and realize that you are hurting your entire team by not showing up. I checked your mission... in it all A-10 aircraft are set as Client meaning they should be available for human players in multiplayer, but not offline single mission.

Soaring- for someone who is so green- you certainly seem to "know" a lot about......everything. Instead of incessantly whining about things that you obviously are clueless about- why don't you just ask the question instead of making foolish declarations?

Сколько можно уже!?, я могу заметить, что работаю моделлером в этой компании и что-то понимаю в процессе, поэтому, считаю обучение меня/нас правде жизни несколько неуместным. Ничего не правил. Да и тебе, очевидно, нужно более глубоко изучить вопрос, не осыпая всех энциклопедическими знаниями. Тебе что-то не нравится в том, что в салоне будет темнее? И прошу не поднимать более широкую дискуссию - все в тему "Для любознательных".

.. having read what the Foghter Ops guys are writing I'm left wondering..? Allthough I completly understand the importency of not leaking software under development, and absolutely agree in the pursiut of plugging such leaks, I just don't get the overrall tone in what they write..? It might be because I'm not one of those with English as my first language ? Or because it's late now, and I should maybe have gone to bed.? But I don't see what the motivation behind posting a general information post like this, and then filling it with a tone that implies that all us DCS members carry a grudge towards Fighter Ops is..? (looong sentence there.. must slow down..) I think we all agree on the fact that Fighter Ops has a lot of potential and the work done so far is impressive. And who amonst us can say that we probably will not Buy&Try Fighter Ops when it's finally released..? Not a whole lot of us can I'm guessing..? So why the tone..? I just don't get it..?

Так вот, об альфа-бленде, альфа-тесте, филрейте вам, товарищи моделлеры, знать не надо. Для той ратной и живородящей работы, которой вы занимаетесь, плодя качественные модели, эта информация совсем не нужна. Мало того, знания в этих вопросах, говорю тихо и по-секрету, вам никак не помогут, для решения задачи заселения ЛО и ЧА. Все ограничения, связанные с этими страшными терминами, уже известны и нам переданы г-ми программистами. Я предлагаю больше внимания уделить качественному и сбалансированному моделлингу, а если кто хочет в себе воплотить еще и программиста - изучайте вопрос альфа-канала.
