A big hello to the Lomac community, I've not been flying for a while as I've been spending what little time I have on rFactor and Live for Speed, which has led me to a pretty cool discovery. Someone recently found that a Directx modification for Grand theft Auto made by a rather clever chap named Boris Vorontsov also works in rFactor, GTR2 and Richard burns. I noticed there was a directx8 version of the mod so I tried it in Live for Speed and it worked, then it struck me that Lockon was also DX8 so I tried it and it only bloody worked in Lomac too didn't it. :megalol: Now I've not been messing too deeply with the Bloom settings in LO and the screens you see are just quick snapshots using the same config that I use for rFactor so the effect is extremely oversaturated in some areas but the good thing is that the mod is heavily tweakable so people can work with it and share their findings. Theres also a reflection mod included which I disabled in the .ini file but it works too, it just needs tweaked properly which I don't have the time to do right now but it does make the planes give off reflections and it was pretty cool. A water mod is also in there as well but again I've not devled too deeply but knowing the Flight sim community just like the Driving sim community are a picky and rather resourceful bunch I'm sure you'll either hate it if have fun configuring it to suit your taste. To activate the mod just take the files named enbseries.ini and d3d8.dll from the zip file I attached and put it into your main Lockon directory. A few things to note, 1st up is my lomac flaming cliffs installation isn't working as I reinstalled windows and my disk is buggered so I've only tried this in lomac 1.0 but surely it will work in FC too, and 2nd is that no matter what resolution I set in lockon it always goes to 1024x786 when using the mod, it could be my lomac config thats warped as it was just a quick install and test. The file named enbseries.ini is the config file that controls all the effects and there are quite a few parameters that are adjustable but thankfully theres a readme that explains what each one does. Just a heads up to let folks know that there's a new tutorial on my site: SEAD: KILLING THEATER DEFENSE (LONG-RANGE) SAM SYSTEMS. This is a short tutorial in which we take a leisurely flight (Su-25T) and use anti radar missiles to neutralize a long-range SAM system, the MIM-104 Patriot. There's a medium-range Hawk SAM system tossed in as well. The tutorial covers using of your missiles to their best advantage and evading the SAM launch. No heroics. Just simple flying. In this tutorial, I assume that you have an intimate knowledge of the SPO-15 "Beriosa" RWS. A propos guys how to get this colors in Lock on, I mean this sun colors, is there any guide how to change it to another color? This pic is in Photoshop edited but I would like to have same in FC, I like these colors :D

I've been using the mod for the past day, and I think it looks great when you get the values tweaked right. And seriously, what is up with the "rain on everyone's parade at all costs" mentality? Why not, "eh, not for me, but you guys have fun"? Anyway, thanks Bramski for bringing this mod to us.

need a good monitor Viper, the gourmet! :D :D (good come-back ;) ) An lcd monitor question for the beta testers, and other NOE flyers. What's good monitor spec to ensure smooth graphics while flying NOE at speed in BS or LOMAC? My video card will be either the 8800GTS/512 or the new 9800GTX/512. I just don't want to make a decision based on reviews of land-lubber shooters, but rather on performance in flight sims . Don't mean to sound too particular, just looking for a capable 22 inch lcd

It's like that saying "beauty is in the eye of the beholder" everyone has their own perceptions of what they see, some like and some dislike the HDR and bloom effects, each to their own :) I think this effects given with this plugin are great :D

It's a nice experiment but I see no practical use of this mod, perhaps if we're to create some Arctic theater than a nice Aurora Borealis bloom...

I am all for Vulching. If you can get past the defences and score a kill and get out without being shot down then you done your job and can go home. What? If you want an answer from me , ive given it. Vulching is what it says -vulching- an unpleasnant word describing an unpleasant action , don't expect to be liked for doing it and making a thread to justify vulching is just soft. Carry on with your full burners down taxiways and vulching those nasty aircraft as they spawn your doing a great job I salute you. Anyone for a game of CS?

I didnt stop playing LOMAC waiting for BS, I merely decreased my activity due to my new job. I said so when I started to work. well Im unnemployed again.

Though in many cases it may be something that should apply to -all- missiles ... starting with AIM-120C alone though, I would say range is an issue :) Other issues are lack of INS, etc etc - as well as the chaff model you've mentioned :) Do you have a source for this? I ask because I need it to back up any requests/arguments :) This corroborates 'red side' pilot accounts from aircraft with working RWRs that had been hit, but I would like something more solid to present :)

If you open your Task Manager and change the view to the running tasks, you can rightclick on the program ( lomac.exe for example ) and choose the affinity setting. Unfortunately settings will be deleted when you stop that particular program. There are some tools out there to help you with that.

Even though BS doesn't support multicore, having more than one core means you can dedicate one core to the game, and it WILL boost the FPS since all the other niggles (TIR, whatever else you run in the background) won't be sucking CPU cycles off the core LOMAC's running on.

Your graphic card should be good enough for BS, BS is DX9 game but I can't say for sure at least until we get the game and install it, run it and try various settings.

guys.. first of all... i just said "stay away from flanker".. Simmod is concentrated only on releasing the hog at the moment. Other than that we have BS which we need to focus hard, right after the hog.. So please dont raise any expectation on any other major mod for some time.. Now this had said.. I will NEVER work on a half done model again.. any mod simmod will do, will be modeled from scratch from simmod! And about vapor on stirkemax su-27.. i think its not realistic unless that vapor moves like vapor.. placing a static tga will look odd, unless strike find a way to animate it...

Первое что нужно сделать - проверить диск с игрой на отсутствие царапин и почистить сидюк.Не помогло - качай новые версии драйверов и патчи виндовс. Полезно проверить винч на вирусы.Но если ничего хронически не помогает - глючит какое-то железо, скорее всего мама. Можно конечно попробовать отключить джойстик.(Lockon и на клаве неплохо летает). Но всёже скорее всего глючит мама.

вот вам данные: ос-миллениум проц-атлон ХР 2500+ бартон видео-fx 5600 память-512 мать-гигабайт с ошибками я разобрался теперь открывается главное меню игры и всё край ничё не работает в нём :(
