  3. Hi all, Since October, I began to code a LockOn Mission Editor to add new possibilities to our Simu. From now, you can easily create simple mission to add planes, tank... and assign them some waypoints graphically without needing to launch LockOn. You can set payload for aircraft, fuel... You can make mission under Linux (Mac probably but not yet tested) and Windows. All the code is under GPL (open source), written in Python language. In few days, I certainly release a first alpha version, in order to see what it can do, and to make test to track bugs (it is under heavy development :D ). If you are interested in making test, or helping me to develop, you are strongly welcome!   6. Ive got a few questions that ive been meaning to ask for several months now. These questions are directed to the poeple who actually do the coding for Black Shark. 1) What does the average day at Eagle Headquarders include? (is it always hardcore coding, do the guys mess around with eachother, etc) 2) What has been the funniest bug that you have found in the game? 3) What has been the hardest bug/ problem so far to solve?

  7. GAI Ground Assisted Intercept. Put an aircraft on an airbase without any waypoints, set TASK to GAI. It will sit on the tarmac and only scramble when the radar on the airbase detects a threat. You can experiment to determine the scramble range, I can't remember what it is, maybe 50 miles? I seem to recall that if you add other friendly radars into the mission, then they will scramble at greater range? But don't quote me on that, experiment with that too. CAS Close Air Support, ie attacking ground targets.

  8. i just read your post and activated my 25 profile - i dont seem to have any issues in this respect - i switched the ecm on - then the laser - moved it around and fired a missile - missile hit the target

  10. Its a LOD issue. There are many people claiming a fix for a supposed 1.13 patch. But me thinks it wont happen. New models are needed, and they are all going to find their way into DCS Black shark instead.

  15. Hey Sytse, Welcome to the world of mission building for Lockon. Unfortunately what you're seeing are many of the limitations of the Mission Editor that you have to learn, and then circumvent. Here are my opinions of what is causing the issues that you are having: The Mig-29s in this case are set to intercept. This means that that is their behaviour for their entire flight time. If they detect something, they will do their very best to kill it. In your mission there is an AWACS present which means they are aware of any threat instantly. I'd suggest changing it to a tanker instead. The Mig-29s however will use their radar (they always do, 24x7x365 :( ), but think about how that radar works, they can only detect what is infront of them, so you could alter their flight path so that they only 'see' what you want them to. That said though, they do have passive sensors and at 66km the Migs will engage an AWACS as they'll know it's there for sure! In real life, AWACS would not operate anywhere close to the front line. In Lock On, you need to think very clearly about why you want / need them in a mission, and carefully consider the implications of using them, they can see clearly for several hundread kilometers. AI aircraft also will treat any airfield that doesn't have hostile aircraft built into the mission to take off there (at any time) as nuetral and they will land at it when they get low on fuel. The way that most mission designers get around this is for the airfields in the area of your missions operation, set an AI aircraft of the side that you would like the airfield to belong to, to take off in 12 hours time. In your case the mission starts at 20:40 036 so set the take off time of these AI aircraft to be 08:40 037. This will define which airfields are friendly for the AI, and they 'should' adjust their strategy to suit. Your Mig-23's didn't take off for me either, but I suspect that this is due to you assigning the 2 SU-27's to take off at the same time. Lock On's airfields suffer because they are 'locked' when a runway is in use. This means that if you have any aircraft on finals (within 2 miles) or taxiing towards the runway, the airfiled is 'in use' and no AI will enter the mission or attempt to land. Try spacing out your flights to accomodate for this. Finally for us Westerner's think of the ground unit formations as: Rank = Line Abreast Cone = Diamond, some also know this as Wedge, most however use Wedge similar to an Echalon left & Right joined at the front http://www.globalsecurity.org/military/library/policy/army/fm/3-21-91/c03.htm Check out Ironhands tutorials at www.flankertraining.com and just download mission that others have made and see how they did things. I made a whole bunch of missions for the SIM-MOD A-10 if you have it installed. Check the A-10\Crimean Campaign folder.

  16. Frog-View: Navigate to LockOn/Config/View Folder and open server.lua file. Find the following line: "CameraTerrainRestriction = true", Edit to read "CameraTerrainRestriction = false" Save. That should do it :)

  18. тайм аут увелич) На авиасибири у меня такая же фигня была. п.с. E:\MyGames\1C\Lock On 1.1\Config\Network\config.lua Блокнотом правишь gameTimeout = 30;( по дефолту) на gameTimeout = 120; в самом верху.

  19. Как известо, мир ЛО плоский и плавает на бесконечном океане, имеющем везде одинаковый уровень. Это особенность реализации. Расположенное высоко в горах оз. Рица собственной водной поверхности (как рЕки, например) не имеет, а представляет собой дыру в текстуре, сквозь которую видно этот самый бесконечный океан. Таким образом, если пролетать над ним, можно наблюдать оптический эффект - берега озера и водная поверхность смещаются с разными угловыми скоростями. Это происходит из-за того, что видимая поверхность озера на несколько тысяч метров ниже реальной. Ну и, не знаю кого как, а меня такая картина малость укачивает :)

Мне кажется, они там уже акции протеста устраивают типа: "Даешь АФМ к Сушкам и МиГам!" и траспаранты вроде "Плыви Акула в дальние края, мне нет роднее цэшки Мигаря" :D:D P.S. Дайте новостей про "DCS:А-10 Thunderbolt" и "DCS:AH-64 Apache":) И как насчет видео из "DCS:SU-27 Flanker"? Очень хочется посмотреть процедру старта :smilewink: Думаю она не сильно отличается от Producer's Note - Start Up в "DCS: MiG-29 Fulcrum" и перезалейте кто-нибудь Producer's Note - Navigation из "DCS:SU-33 Flanker-D" там интересные моменты с посадкой)))

  24. Update 11.05.08 Part 2. APU Panel finished with textplate and backlighting Judging from the look on my face I was starting to get a little bored from working on this ONE PANEL for so long! LoL First backlit picture with text face on.! Just a tiny bit of wire conneting now, and I'm done with the bloody APU Panel (at least for now)..! All detailed drawings and a short build description is on it's way.. Gimme a couple of days and I'll have it ready...! So what do you think?

Завтра я уеду недельки на две, потом, если даст Бог - буду жив, обязательно присоединюсь к вам. Хорошо? По поводу ракеты: 1) "ПР" выдается устойчиво в том случае, если целеуказание ракете выдается от РЛПК или КОЛС, и при этом есть измеренная ими дальность до цели, которая в свою очередь должна быть в пределах разрешенной. Если "ПР" не горит в этом случае устойчиво (мигает) - ракету пустить "в автомате" невозможно. И, если "ПР" в данном случае мигает (свидетельствует о захвате цели ТГС при отсутствии дальности или ее несоответствии), то пуск возможен после включения ПОДГОТОВКА РУЧН., т.е. "вручную". Дальность в этом случае определяется глазомерно. (ПОДГОТОВКА РУЧН. - это снятие блокировки пуска по дальности). 1а) Если прицеливание выполнялось в режимах ОПТ, ШЛЕМ, "Фи_0", и ни РЛПК, ни КОЛС не захватили цель - то есть не измеряется дальность, но есть захват цели головкой ТГС ракеты, "ПР" будет мигать. Пуск возможен без включения ПОДГОТОВКА РУЧН. Дальность определяется глазомерно. В рассматриваемых выше случаях ракета полетит к цели, но, если с дальностью вы ошибетесь - просто не долетит до нее. Поэтому при захвате РЛПК или КОЛС нет смысла снимать блокировку по дальности, за исключением, если дальность не измеряется из-за помех. 2) Если именно ракета цель не захватила - "ПР" и не горит, и не мигает - ракету вы не пустите. Это технически не возможно. Поэтому о захвате на конечном этапе речи быть не может. Корекция радаром, о которой Вы, Максим, говорите, относится к радиолокационной головке ракеты Р-27Р(ЭР). Тепловая головка ничего радийного в себе не имеет. Вообще это непросто было бы осущестить, т.к. ИК ГСН имеет очень узкое, по сравнению с РЛ ГСН, поле зрения... Надеюсь, удовлетворил Ваше любопытство. Дерзайте! И до встречи! Лично я умываю руки, и соглашаюсь с тем что Р-27ЭТ без ПР не возможно. Меня убедили...

  26. Yes i forgot tell about hit rotor blades to roof of track as reason of crash. Sun my friend ...did i ever tell or use word "best" i say usefull . I agree with you that hind in version D or W in polnish army aviation is not enought . If we want compare hind on present battelfield we must talking about his new versions unfortunately not used in battle. Other way remember that tiger or apache have own disadvetage.
