Hey G, The reply was ment more as an in general kind of comment. You are right that Lock ON! does not support that option for the NATO side. Do you assign your flight target objectives via the mission editor?1 point

"отвалился" - это совершенно неприемлемый термин, надо использовать что-нибудь вроде "сколлапсировал", "ушёл за горизонт событий" или "претерпел фазовый переход третьего рода" в крайнем случае :smartass:1 point

вот и появится выражение "верхний винт посинел и отвалился..."1 point

Yes, your AI wingmen are dumb. Yes, the bandit AI have instant locks on you and can see you through clouds etc. Things that help. Use radio to order your wingmen to switch on their radars. Don't assume they always have it switched on (ditto with their ECM). I generally lock up a bandit and then instruct an individual wingman to attack that bandit and repeat while I have the time to do it. With your AI wingmen you have to try to take the time to be a battle manager before getting into the fight yourself. If you want sensible behaviour, go online. :)1 point

Just tried to read through four pages of techno-babble...Sooooo confusing to me. I think I might have actually GAINED a few brain cells from reading this... My take on graphics cards: Step one - Walk into a computer store. Step two - Find a nerd/knowitall. Step three - Say, "Which one of these fancy art-filled boxes is the best?" Step four - Go home with fancy art-filled box and ask squadmates what to do next...1 point

Fire up a Night Mission, press Fly................. Then run like Fook to the Kitchen, grab a pair of scissors and the 2L bottle of Sprite from the Fridge.......... Turf the contents of the Sprite down the sink, alternatively down your gullet and cut the bottle in half - lengthways........... Now sprint like there are ten Banshees nibblin' at your six and raid the girlfriends Knicker-draw for her second-best G-String and tie it to the half bottle - get your A$$ back in the Cockpit pronto! Now - strap the bottle around your head and Walaaaaa.........you have the Green NVG Tinge - adds a lot to the immersion. Yes yes - not much, but in the absence of a patch it's the next-best thing :D :pilotfly:1 point

try this file and place into LockOn/Bazar folder (make backup first) let me know if you stil get bad framerate when you fly over same area... or anywhere on server for that matter... EDIT: Also note to mission builders... if you place say 20 hummers within 2km or just make a column with quite a few hummers (or even M113) in it they will make for quite a few objects for CPU to render... if 1 hummer takes 68 objects and you place 10 of them that's... 680 objects just for those (or 800 for 10x M113) ... and even on fast CPU (for example 4GHz C2D I have) something of order of 4000 objects is what will start to lower my framerate bellow 60... something to consider I guess when making missions. Ideally having 3 LOD for each vehicle would do from high/medium/low poly and then 4th LOD just simple box, square or whatever would fix this even better... but hey this is what we're getting DCS for... beauty of all the high quality 3D models of upclose then multiple LOD's as they blend into distance... nice :)1 point

"Su-27K" and "Su-33" are two names for the same version - the T-10K :) . Thats also the case for several other entries in that table. Another little point of critism is that it contains some rather dubvious designations of "would-be" variants that don't exist......and little evidence that they were even seriously considered. Also I think the mention of experimental airframes as well as seperate designations for aircraft used by air display teams is a little "off" :) . In my opinion the table would have been more useful(and less confusing) if the creator had stuck to the realised variants - i.e. in operational service and the ones meant for this, were production ready prototypes exist.1 point

Ka-50 Pitbuild Update 02 august 2008 - Finishing the Desk CnC Router It's just to warm to do anything inside these days, so I have finished the Proxxon CnC rebuild mechanics. I now I'm going to wait for a rainy day, and build the Stepper controller kit I got from HobbyCnC. Steppers are in house, and the Z-axis anti backlash nut design I really haven't decided on yet..
