  3. I agree the multiplayer base is lacking :/ Once the game hits regular retail chanels I hope we see an influx of new players. Maybee if they ever release on Steam there will be a bunch of new people and more servers poping up. I read somewhere that ED figured like 90% of the people wouldn't fly online...kind of depressing. The online community and servers is what keeps game interest going. Beating the AI up over and over again even with a dynamic campaign gets booring after a while. It's the comradarie and friends you meet online that keep you coming back....the human element, the stuff you remember for years and years. Obviously people are buying this game since up to this point it has only been available for online purchase. I think ED just needs to figure out a way to get their product out in front of more people. There are thousands and thousands of people who play FSX online, do they know about DCS:BS? Probably not....would they like it? Probably.

Hi to all, I present to them the state in which my new project is, is a slightly ambitious project, and the one who knows perhaps someday is seen by us inside the BS or in some of the Series of DCS. Good gentlemen the new project in which I have embarked in these moments, after looking for all the information that I could have found on the topic for different routes, it is the new acquisition of Spanish Army Aviation “Famet“, together with France, Germany and Australian Army Aviation and this one is the new helicopter of attack Eurocopter Tiger, in this case I have praised myself for the one that I have closer that it is Eurocopter Tiger HAD, but good you will try to do four variants that exist today of the Tiger, that are, the German variant the Tiger UHT (Unterstützungshubschrauber Tiger), the French the Tiger HAP (Helicoptere d'Appui Protection), the Spaniard the Tiger HAD (Helicóptero de Apoyo y Destrucción) and the Australian the Tiger ARH (Armed Reconnaissance Helicopter). I put a series of Render of the Tiger, the project is very young, and a lot of work stays that to do, so that to give completed the process of modeling, but good already sees something and wanted to share it with you, and with the hope that I have said before when the model should be finished it is possible to include inside the series of Sims DCS. These render are the different aspects for the one that the model has spent for the time being. The current aspect of the project.   5. This is a small fix for the phantom monitor issue when using a multi-monitor setup. Just keep the exe running in the background and it will reposition the application window once the mission is loaded. Here is an example of my lua files with a secondary monitor with 1280x1024 resolution on the left side of my main display with a resolution of 1680x1050. No need to let the graphics card work on a third phantom monitor. options.lua ...   7. I guess that Eugene Fleeman a US missile designer for the USAF for 35 years also got it wrong, he backs up every word of Dr Kopp. Those tiny control surface's result in low drag and lower AoA than the AIM-9X but they give you what the AIM-9X doesn't, the capability of the "first shot".

  8. Its the Trim. When I reset the trim, the blades are prallel. When I trim again, they're bend. Edit: Remember, the real Ka50 has no trim-reset. Serious simmers don't use it :music_whistling:

В прошлое воскресенье я доблесно бомбил десант америкосов на Су-25Тм Все нормально отбомбил ушел от зенитной ракетной атаки, и сел у себя на яропорту приписки, но предварительно дабы глянуть свои ошибки включил запись трека . Коково же было мое удивление когда я увидел на записи что я выполняю моневры по уходу от ракет и вообще лечу ввертикально - строго в космос с набором высоты! причем бомбы мои падают как и положенно вниз а личу я вверх . В последствии достигнув 23000 метров я плавно развернулся и полетел вниз без каких либо угрызений совести ..... Результат предсказуем мой яроплан стараясь достигнуть центра земли застрял в ее толще . Я еще раз проделал тоже самое - на этот раз я получил незначительные поподания из пулемета по крылу но выполнил все ОК и сел у себя в Яропорту и также прокрутил запись - судьба оказывается мне приготовила другую реальность, после взлета я как мне рассказала запись полета не полетел на задание а стал гоняться за призраками судя по акроботически выполнеными трюка моим самолетом причем при это я нещадно бомбил невидимого противника в последствии я решил окончить эту жизнь и резко прыгнул носом вниз причем еще в полете начал разваливаться ......:lol::lol::lol: Я хочу спросить господ асов, это тока со мной глюки или нет, кто еще комп так обкурил ?

Вдруг таки получится докрутить -- а вешь была бы незаменимая, т.к. без нее действительно достаточно сложно целиться (ТрекИР, конечно, рулит, но точности позиционирования головы не хватает на "нормальном" угле обзора -- а увеличением точности ПМ сильно уезжает из центра). ЗЫЖ Пожалуйста кто-нибудь приклейте эту темку к вишлисту девелоперов... Я понимаю, что ковырять дополнительно код мало кому радостно, но вдруг таки обратят внимание?

Hey, i wasn't being insensitive to your issues, i'm sorry if i came across that way :) I frequent all the ATI related forums and see lots of people with bad problems with their setups, i just wished that no-one had these issues :( On a side note, there is a newer 9.3 Catalyst hotfix out, version 8.592 http://support.amd.com/us/kbarticles/Pages/GPU-5-Catalyst93HOTFIXFireStrm.aspx i've got this up and running this afternoon, seems fine on my old 3850. edit: some discussion starting up about this version over here http://www.rage3d.com/board/showthread.php?t=33942797

The heli pitch thing confuses things, but you can burn out the laser if you overuse it, which I suspect you would be more likely to do if you play with unlimited ammunition since you would not have the same motivation to be conservative with your ammunition and locking. Basically, if you lock too many times in a short amount of time, the laser can get burned out and it would then not designate targets properly and you can see similar behaviours. I don't recall the exact tolerances but a search should be able to locate it. This is basically a problem in the real thing that has been modelled in the simulator.

  21. Humour me here...........Why would you want a Demo? I mean - the product is available already. And the argument that one can 'test-drive' prior to purchase is feeble when one has regard to the plethora of info available, the extent of the producers' notes and the multitude of videos, screenshots etc etc.......the list goes on. Just Curious, is all :)

  22. Hallo zusammen. Mal ne Frage an Airwolf: Drehst du im wirklichen Leben deine Birne auch um 360 Grad ?? Ich fliege jetzt seit ca 2 Wochen, bin aber noch nie auf die Idee gekommen, einmal meine Sicht um 360 Grad zu drehen :huh: Wenn du in etwa in dem Bewegungsbereich bleibst, wie du ihn auch als echter Mensch (und nicht als Borg :smilewink: ) in einem Cockpit hast, dann bleibt dein Fadenkreuz auch immer in einem ertrдglichen Bereich. Versteh mich jetzt nicht falsch, aber das ist fьr mich nur Genцrgel, keine konstruktive Kritik. Und auch die Sichtsteuerung funktioniert bei mir hervorragend, du musst nur wissen, das man bei der Maus zwischen Klickmodus und Sichtmodus mit Lalt+C umschalten muss. Ich z.B. lasse die Maus immer im Klickmodus und bewege die Cockpitsicht mit den Num Tasten. Kann also nicht nachvollziehen was da nicht gehen soll. :joystick: Vll solltest du dir ja erst nochmal das Handbuch durchlesen und etwas Zeit lassen, bevor du hier das Spiel schlecht machst. Nichts fьr ungut !

  26. You are oversimplifying things. I hope ED doesn't do the same when developing Jets, or we will end with another LOMAC. Read "Vipers in the Storm" by Keith Rosenkranz, or talk to a real one, then come back and tell me how it is boring being a jet pilot.

  27. Some of us are still just figuring the game out, and aren't quite ready for multiplayer yet. Feels like the game is still pretty new. I think there are a bunch of single players out there still learning. Multiplayer seems daunting at this level, but give us some time.

  29. I think you vastly underestimate the amount of helicopter versus jet fans playing this game. How do you get the impression that everyone playing this game wants to fly a jet. I for one won't buy the A-10 addon or an F-16 addon if they had made one. I much prefer the helicopter over the jet. I played Longbow, and Longbow 2 and found those sims to be much more entertaining than any jet simulator. I personally find jet sims to be boring. Having a radar to scope out your targets and using awacs to tell you where the target is so you can blast it out of the sky with an amraam is so boring. Not to mention using an aim 9X sidewinder and looking at the target so you can shoot your weapon is just not fun. Don't get me wrong, if I were to fly in a real fighter jet I would be eating these words. But the fact of the matter is that this is just a computer simulation. This Ka-50 sim provides so much more entertainment than the jet sims I have flown in the past. If I were to choose a career however, it would be a Helicopter pilot over a Jet pilot. I know I'm not the only one in here that thinks this or this game wouldnt be so popular. So I can guarantee that there won't be a mass exodus like you seem to think. :P

  32. My two cents: This doesn't seem like the type of game in which you'd be looking for competitive multiplayer. Coop, sure, and it's a blast I'm certain (I'm still novice enough that I haven't found the guts to venture online yet). And about the lack of radar, who cares if you're "blindfolded", if everyone is equal in that regard? Frankly, I prefer no radar in some ways; some modern jet sims are like playing a video game INSIDE a video game! Based on the huge level of traffic in this forum, I'd say the game has a pretty darn strong fanbase. I really can't imagine a day when you could log in to a DCS-type sim and find more than a handful of public servers up. After all, IL-2 is wildly popular (for a flight sim), and has been for years, and is much simpler to fly than BS, but The Interwebs have certainly never been in danger of collapsing under the weight of all those IL-2 servers, if you know what I mean... :) I agree that more people might be apt to buy the A-10 edition of DCS when it arrives, due to it being a bit more mainstream of an aircraft, but many of those people will be immediately turned off by the sheer level of detail packed into DCS. And if they don't get turned off, they're probably the kind of people who have already purchased Black Shark. People who like this kind of sim saw Black Shark coming a mile away...

Join a Squad ;) There's a reason why it's the Soldiers raising the Metal-Air Index as opposed to the Week-End Flyboys in their Bell-Jets...........It's all about Structure and Discipline!   34. I just don't think this style of sim , or at least the missions developed so far are suited for large groups to play online in an airquake fashion / adversarial and unplanned. Most people playing multiplayer will be doing it on closed privately hosted peer games. I strongly suspect it will be exactly the same for the A10 However, with that in mind, the 104th Lockon Server will be running as a DCS server on Mondays and Tuesdays.. come and check it out....theres a few new features running that might just help out a little..

Honestly by reading your complaints i get the feeling you have spent a few hours with it, and just figured you got it all figured out. I dont think you could handle A2A close combat in the shark. Furthermore I cant imagine what you were thinking when you subjected our fine community this ignorance.

  37. As mentioned already: I can do these maneuvers in other aircraft, and have performed them in real aircraft, and I know how to do them in real aircraft. In a simulated aircraft I can not feel it's behaviour. Therefore, while practicing, having a good idea of the airspeed to couple that to visual inputs and behaviours is very helpful because I cannot feel theese inputs as I can in a real aircraft. Compare with driving a rally car and playing Colin McRae. When you drive the real thing you actually feel everything that's happening and have a very clear idea of what sounds mean what. In a computer simulation, no matter how well done, you don't have the same stimuli. 25 years of combat sims on ever more capable computers has created a generation of virtual pilots who think that their high-fidelity simulation somehow approximates the sensations you get from flying the real thing. You can simulate the behaviour of an aircraft however much you want, but you're not simulating the physical sensations of flying. You cannot fly by the seat of your pants if your pants are seated on an office chair.

  41. Oh i'd better start speaking here. Many functions have been cut out of lrm. Right now I've started looking at if I can make some work on it. At the moment thre is a stable version including - TWS follows target - IFF with F-15 - Reduced Chaff - Anti BarrellSploit - Anti Low FlySploit I believe this version is running on 104th server in HL So pretty much only the core functionality left. These things WORK. When it comes to dealing with maddogs if I ever host a game I'll probably ban the use of ETs on my server altogether. Now that ERs work, and ETs killing is used mostly BVR head on (where they should not work), I don't see why they should be included at all... OF course this is up to everyone for their own server to decide, but LRM will not deal with maddogs anymore.

  42. Знаешь ли. Делать движки для игр в разы тяжелее чем делать детей. Тем более движки которые должны с 30+ фпс рисовать огромную территорию с огромным(по сравнению с шутерами) количеством техники. И не забываем, что надо кроме графической составляющей еще надо и физику обсчитывать(в Crysis физики нет как таковой. А та, что есть - убога). Тот же самый навороченный Crysis выдает дальность прорисовки 10км(по заявлениям разработчиков) но какой ценой? Ценой железа за 3+к баксов. Разработчики сделали все, что смогли в рамках финансирования. ЕД далеко не ЕА и это нужно понимать. Извиняюсь за оффтоп.

  43. Hello all ! Yes some of the things that the people are writing is right and I also want to apologize for my late response. I did some mistakes... First of all : I don't plan to do a financial fraud! To tell long story short: I between the years I send a many quotations to people that wanted to become customers. Most of the quotations I wrote where accepted and are paid in advance. But now I'm in a similar situation like the sorcerer's apprentice in the fairy tale. I have now more orders that I'm able to handle at the given time frame (the delivery time I gave the people in the Quotations). If that is not enough I was also forced to stay 350km away at home the last two weeks because of a unexpected family affair. (I didn't had a regular Internet connection at the place where I stayed and only my ipod-touch to track incoming mails.) And the guy that helped me regular with the Leftside-Limited things in his free time the last three month isn't able to do it any further anymore because he becomes a father... It was also planed that I get most of my needed parts from a Metalworker company here in Berlin - to disburden me from the workload - but they got a very big order from a regular customer and they put me aside for another month (manly because I'm doing only "wired toys" and they aren't able to earn really money with me). I don't write this to to make an excuse about my behavior- I just want to give you the facts that lead to the situation that I'm one month to be behindhand with the delivery of 10 orders. I made last December most of my plans without counting in that things aren't working as planed... Since yesterday I'm back in Berlin to get all things done right. I will contact all of you that are waiting for a response for so long now at this weekend. But I also need some time for it. (I normally get around 20 Mails each day and at the weekends even more beside the regular customer requests...and right now I have over 200 unanswered Mails.) That's the honest response I can do in this thread and I will not discuss this further in this threat or any forum. I will also send everyone his money back (as I did already in some cases) If you want to cancel your order. I'm sorry for the inconvenience that some of you having with me right now.   44. Your task is to dusrupt the enemy advance, as such you wont win or lose this mission. Rather you should do your job (attack the enemy as long as you safely can) and get back to base in one piece. Should you do really well though, you should get a message from Papa Bear on your way back:) Initially I wanted to do full after action report by Papa Bear on your way home, but with the way triggers currently works, this gets incredible complex very fast. The Smerch is actually firing west against some opponents of your northern neighbour regiment.
