As for a list of changes; i think it will be most insightful comparing these textures: Original dashboard& overhead panel texture: Same texture modified: To sum it up: + higher quality textures + better colour consistency throughout the cockpit + generally a darker cockpit + new warning lights + new switches/knobs/ screws .... + new lettering (MS 33558 font for panels and gauges (western version)) + new nightlighting (instead of dark yellow -> dimmed cyan/greenish colour As for the max resolution, standard size for main panels is 2048x2048 - 4096 might work/ havn't checked it yet. Standard Res is more than sufficent though to add nice detail even when close up.2 points

Kamov Ka-50 "Black Shark" Checklist Fairchild Republic A-10C "Warthog" checklist can be found here : http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=55949 I created 2 versions now of the Normal Checklist : - Normal Checklist (Beginner) This is the checklist as I started out, with keyboard and position columns for the beginner. - Normal Checklist (Pro) This is the same format/layout as a reallife professional checklist, it has no switch locations or keyboard shortcuts in it. This adds to the reality effect and can be used if you know where the switches are. Eventually you should be using the Pro checklist ofcourse. =-) Download: Normal Checklist (Beginner) Normal Checklist (Beginner) v2.1.pdf Normal Checklist (Pro) Normal Checklist (Pro) v2.1.pdf Probably the best thing is to print it out using 2 pages per side so one page has A5 size. Changelog: ************** Normal Checklist Version 2.1 ************* Stopped/Running engine temp gauge test figures added. ************** Normal Checklist Version 2.0 ************* Item location panels now correspond to the manual so beginners can find the items easier. Several items renamed to correspond to in game labels. ************* Normal Checklist Version 1.9.1 ************ Typo fixed thanks to ddahlstrom ************** Normal Checklist Version 1.9 ************* Fixed Fire Suppression mode label to OPER instead of WORK Moved Cyclic/Rudder/Collective Movement check before setting engines to Auto throttle, this way it is the normal way to check, not when the engines are in flight power, checking collective movement would cause the a/c to lift off. ************** Normal Checklist Version 1.8 ************* Fixed error in ground power key assignment, thanks Nightshadow81 ************** Normal Checklist Version 1.7 ************* Removed "Targeting Navigation System ON" as it is for ground/maintenance purposes ************** Normal Checklist Version 1.6 ************* Fixed a error, "INU Heat" first then "INU Power ON" ************** Normal Checklist Version 1.5 ************* Added Hot Refuel/Rearm Checklist During Shutdown checklists set Parking Brake First to prevent a/c movement in high wind conditions ************** Normal Checklist Version 1.4 ************* Added Collective Low Check before engine startup Added Governor L&R Off in shutdown checklist ************** Normal Checklist Version 1.3 ************* Some minor errors corrected Made a Pro & Beginner version Pro has no keyboard shortcuts and location columns ************** Normal Checklist Version 1.2 ************* Some errors corrected Items added that I missed Some orders changed (allthough in game the order doesn't seem to matter) All keyboard assignments added ************** Normal Checklist Version 1.1 ************* Some minor changes/errors I found while using the checklist they have been fixed now. ************** Normal Checklist Version 1.0 ************* Initial release.1 point

Was reading the previous posts in this thread, and i noticed that the 600W PSU was metioned as a possible cause. Poko24 has tested his rig with one card and one stick of ram and has no overclocks applyed to his rig, PSU is good. If the PSU was the problem he would get overheating in there and a thermal shutdown performed by that same PSU. @Poko24: You are playing at pretty high resolution so that could cause your cards getting hot, try playing the games wich normally crash at slightly lower resolution to see if that lowers the temp. You also sayed that you never changed anything in the BIOS, you might check if all power saving options like speedstep and other VANDERPOOL options are disabled, if not disable them. And again for the time being, keep one card in and one Ram module running at the settings i mentioned earlyer and take it from there. Keep in mind that many people that have instabillity problems, getting more problems becouse they change all kind of settings, damaging PCI and ram slots by swapping card and modules in and out. And in the end they didn't know what they changed:) Here's a pic of the power saving BIOS menu. http://img168.imageshack.us/img168/6126/15030100975l.jpg Disable everything exept multicore processing . Its neccesary to do so, otherwise you system is throttleing randomly. Its most likely that it isn't solving your problem but it give's alot more punch, it will prevent that your CPU will clock down to a much lower speed. Power supply - active Power Factor Correction (PFC) - internal. Means you PSU can output 600w maximum but it does only when hardware starts to draw that power, for instance: In windows on desktop the PSU will output someting like 300watts, but when you start a application like a game the GFX card starts to draw power from the PSU, raising the load on the PSU and the limit in your case is 600W. All modern PSU have a PFC to decrease the bill you recieve from the electric Company.1 point

Some answers :) . The Russian airforce operates two variants of the basic Su-27 - the Su-27P with air-to-air armament only and the Su-27S with additional unguided air-to-ground capability("dumb" bombs, clusters and rocket pods). Through the evolution of the sim(Flanker to Lock-on) the Su-27 representation has shifted forth and back between the two variants - i.e. in Flanker 1.0 it was the Su-27S(with unrealistic guided A2G capability), in Flanker 2.0 it was the Su-27P, then in Flanker 2.5 it was changed to the Su-27S(with correct unguided A2G ordinance). With the transition to Lock-on it was again back to the Su-27P, but then yet again changed to the Su-27S in V1.1 FC(or maybe that was done already in V1.02...I can't remember). Anyway, for 3GO's new Su-27 model we wanted make removable weapons pylons, where each weapon is paired with the appropriate launcher rack. However, while this can be done with missiles and bombs, it doesn't seem possible to make rack/weapon combinations involving rocket pods....possibly due to hardcoded salvo logics. For this reason we decided to make two versions of the mod - one with the full A2A and A2G armament(Su-27S) retaining the fixed pylons and later an alternative mod with removable pylon/weapon combinations, but with air-to-air armament only(Su-27P). The cockpits and systems of the two variants are virtually identical, so that is not an issue.1 point

In the mission editor, first button on the left hand side under the word "Mis" , looks like a clipboard , is "mission briefing" button. Once you click on that, on the right hand side you will see a type box called "start" with 12:0 :0 /0 which is your Mission start time in the format Hour:Minute:Second(?) / Day (0 .. 365 , where 0 = July 1st)1 point

Guys, F-23? that is sheer speculation. Read this for some REAL information on the topic: http://www.aviationweek.com/aw/generic/story_channel.jsp?channel=defense&id=news/UAVMIX040709.xml1 point

While I totally agree with the override ET being a cheap kill this statement above just throws the ball in the MiG and F-15's court, because as it stands LO's 40km maddogged ARH's are just as unrealistic as ET maddog's so where you going to go with that? Just ignore it probably. This is the best post in this thread IMO. All the complainers should take a big look at this post and realise what HL is, its a place which keeps LOMAC alive, mostly vacated by GAMERS who look for kills and nothing else. If you are getting killed unfairly and cheaply don't get angry and whine about it all over the server. Make yourself a better vpilot and work with friends to take these guys out, when flying realistically its not all about how many you kill... or is it? This whole 'i want realism' 'ET maddog lamers' etc is just a glorified excuse for getting killed. It creates paranoia with guys left, right and centre accusing one another of cheating this, maddoging that, blah effin blah im sick of it having been on the end of it sometimes myself over the last 4years, sometimes warranted most of the time not. Guys override ET's, maddog 77's,120's, do the jammer thing, magic barrel roll, dump shed loads of chaff, printscreen if that even works, but guess what people also Notch you, drop CM's, use TWS well, use EOS effectively, just pull on the stick in a panic and avoid that missile, missiles go dead, level of heat source affects IR's, your RWR has blind spots, lag happens etc. do the community a favour, better yourself to beat the lamers, if you die, so what at least when you beat them you know you've done it the right way. But don't cry out lamer, cheater whatever just because you died when something didn't appear right to you.1 point

Hehe, yeah. Maybe HE should look for a problem when running single core affinity. ;) I certainly don't get twice the frame rates. But they were pretty good to begin with.1 point

Here here! Seems a little strange though, the program was halted, the prototypes were either cut up or placed in a museum. Sounds April's Fools to me. Especially the X-47B or something coming (carrier-borne UCAV).1 point

The really interesting thing is that people always assume the worst. Why do you even have a piracy alet chromosome? That kind of attidute is like a police officer searching anyone who, for example said the word marijuana. Also about newbies, I personally had a lot of them come to me to get instructions on how to play. With a couple of them I spent about an hour online just to get them to fire a Vikhr at a target, all of them read the manual and the quick start guides, but they still needed help. So even RTFM isn't always helpfull. And when it comes to attitude and politness RTFM is not a polite phrase now is it? Instead of RTFM you could have looked through the manual and said: "Read the page XXX in the manual, hope it helps." or "The info you seek is on page XXX in the manual." If you don't like looking thorugh the manual and have nothing helpfull (or polite) to say, then don't reply.1 point

The thing is that manual contains answers to most simple and trivial questions and as you may have noticed already it is pretty large in page count. Simple and trivial questions have one awful property: they are repeatedly asked and asked again. If people are not pushed to read the manual, then someone will have to repeatedly quote information from almost all manual in subsequent answers for EVERY person who does not like reading the manual - after some time it will kill any desire to contribute to the forum. Also, there is some knowledge which you can't easily get from manual - all advanced stuff, which will never be talked about if everyone were busy answering questions which already have answers in manual. So, the sequence: Read the manual for trivial information; Search the forum for more advanced information; Ask in the forum if you can't find information by methods above;1 point

That's because GoGamer is friends with TFC and as a long-time simmer I have made sure to do my best for ED and TFC over the years. Don't ever go to EB/GS for your Flight-Sim needs or I will kill you! :-) Jason1 point

I know GG, after all it is just a game... but I feel it should be and can be brought to much more than that. Aircraft are my passion and I love even just looking at them... to me they are beautifull... I wished I could become a figher pilot and tried to go military school back in Yugoslavia (actually I got into Military Highschool)... due to unfortunate events I never succeded... so it stays down for me to live my dream through flight sims... god I hope if DCS modules with fighters ever come out they so kick ass :D1 point

Mission time is set in the briefing menu. You can also set the day of the year there (0-365). Note, day 0 is July 1.1 point

You can do all the math in the world. You can hide numbers too, is that the math you are referring to? The topic is end of F-22 production. And the secretary of defense cut the F-22 out due to reduced budget. We are on topic. Reminder: SAM = Stealth STOP!1 point

Moderators should be a little nicer to the newbies that come into forums, and since your a moderator, go ahead and delete this thread so others wont see how rude you are.1 point

my two cents (which aint worth much): A few days ago i decided to try flying with no payload, and only 40% fuel. At that weight, it was almost a challenge to break the ka50. I was rolling and looping and twisting and turning, and the aircraft didnt seem to mind much at all. It handles alot differently at that weight, in fact the challenge, was getting used to flying it like that, because it was so much more responsive. give it a try. edit: I did not read this entire thread, so this may have been mentioned already.1 point

Hi! I would like to present my A10 Pit. The cockpit is a copy of a A10 Thunderbolt II. That cockpit contains two 10,4” TFT touchscreens with a touch-buddy profile created by myself. The TB-profile includes almost 100 pages with maps, airport ground and departure charts, checklists, game orders and a lot of other stuff. The next interesting point is the X52 extension. The stick is situated in the middle of the pit, like in a real A10. I tried to avoid the following condition “Aim to high, never fly”. I think it is a good compromise at the moment. Thanks for the nice plans! So I was able to create my new pit :thumbup:1 point

In the current situation I would say the money is better spent for 50 OV-10 instead of one F-22.1 point

This is true, but limiting yourself to a 3 thousand dollar program is going to limit the mods to talented guys who use max to make ligit money with it. By opening up to free modeling programs like Blender, you can attract aircraft enthusiasts who just want to do one thing, make a model in their favorite game. This exploded MSFS when Gmax was introduced. And it can explode LOMAC/DCS too. Wouldn't you rather have an F-4 Phantom made by someone who wants it to look authentic because they love airplanes? Or made by someone who happens to use max for work and may or may not be an aircraft enthusiast. I take the enthusiast everytime. See Captainsim for a group of enthusiasts who decided to take their hobby to the next level. Max1 point

Without getting my post deleted again, I will say this about any patch in the future for LoMac...not going to happen they have made that clear enough..with the progression of Black Shark and its future add-on's.. We now have to rely on long standing Lock On Community members to come up with ways to improve on it.. Long Live " LOCK ON MODERN AIR COMBAT ":thumbup::thumbup:1 point

Not sure if this is for LockOn or Black Shark, but for the former you can check temp/mp_log.txt for a log of in game events. Most likely Black Shark has similar files in the temp directory. These directories are in the root directory of the respective games.1 point
