  2. So, its been a while since I made an update. This is because I have had to make some big decisions about the project that were hard for me to make. During the time between my previous update and now, the team has been hard at work collecting data and reworking almost every aspect of the project. Here are some screenshots that I took earlier today during some testing. As you will see, the terrain is being reworked from scratch. This decision was made for two reasons. First off, myself along with others, were not satisfied with the quality of old textures and mesh. Now, if you are still reading this and havent skipped to the screenshots, you might be wondering why not simply just rework the current terrain? That brings us to the second point. The old original .max files for the terrain were lost and there was no other option but to redo it. Hopefully you guys will see a difference between these screenshots and the old terrain that you might have seen.

  4. Is that the attitude in the dev team GG? "Hey, nobody else has good ground AI or terrain-masking trees, so there's no pressure for us to do it". Come on, that's a cop-out and you know it. I thought you guys wanted to set the standard, not use the standard as an excuse. As I said, the sim is excellent and I enjoy it a great deal. However, the trees and AI are legitimate complaints in an attack helo sim.

  5. Seriously...........;) Was not going to bother here, but this borders on the Frustrating it does........There seems to be 2 Pet Peeves floating about: 1-Trees: It HAS been explained FFS.........and not just in Rudimentary terms, but a clear and conscise explanation has been proffered by EvilB iirc. How one, after having due regard to the said explanation, is still willing to tender any form of rational submission/argument for the POV expressed is truly beyond me......And before I get asked for said explanation - use the Search Function........:music_whistling: 2-A.I. Whilst I am one of the first to Applaud the absolute Lack of Intellegence in our Artificial Bretheren, I can again applaud and appreciate the Progress being made to date - again vindicated by actual In-Game behaviour and Developers/Testers' comments. Having due regard to where ED has been, where they are now and where they want to be, I personally am more than happy with where I am now re my Flight Sim Hobby. Maybe more Gratitude and Less Attitude is called for.............

  6. Hey guys, Here is an update of my original Command Center mission. It was recently brought to my attention that I uploaded the incorrect file on the original mission and while it still plays well, the random events were not throughly tested and may not work. This updated Command Center 2 mission has several different random starts and can play out in a variety of ways. I put a lot of time in this one to get the right mix and I've tested the random events and they all work great. If you liked the first Command Center Down mission, I added several more random events to this one and I'm sure you will like this updated one even more. enjoy ron Command Center 2.miz

  7. 1. Do you think you can add a DxDiag report too? It lists up all of your devices and other partners in crime :) 2. Have you tried flying without TrackIr? Just a sidenote - is it possible to use one of the stable v.4.x softwares to run TIR 5 maybe? Not sure.

  12. hey guys, i need some informations on the LOD models. can anybody tell me at which distances the certain LOD stages take place? i need that for the lights and some others stuff. thanks so far if somebody can give me informations on that. a little picture for all eagle lovers. sorry for a nightshot, but i do not want to give away to much of any detail. i can only say, that i am back to work and that i am working on the AB and textures at the same time. sorry for the slow progress, but this is a one man show, unfortunatly

  13. I'm glad to hear the pilots where ok. Vekkinho, you are right, it does not look that bad. I can bring the duct tape, Who can bring the glue? We can have that thing fix in no time like the "A-Team"

  15. Я не разраб, но скажу просто: 1) Уже есть механизм ветвления кампаний 2) Никто не запретит написать внешний движок, генерирующий миссии по результатам предыдущих, ибо всё открыто и в луа.

  16. Pitbuilding Update - 24 July 2009 - ABRIS testing in temp pit I know.. I really should have gone to bed instead! But I have the day of tomorrow, and I just HAD TO try out the multi monitor settings and see my ABRIS in action..! So I hastingly threw everything together and hooked it up. And after about two hours of reading up on how the LUA script should be I got it right.. Actually I got it right the first time I fired DCS up..! Yahoo! I am running the Center monitor at 1440x900, and the ABRIS at 768x1024 resolution (the ABRIS is a 1024x768 that is projectet in portrait instead of landscape..)! In the pics I am using the old Front Pedestal still.. The new one is disassembled for painting. .. you can see a hint of the ABRIS screen if you look closely.. The camera flash took most of the colors away in these pictures  But almost the same angles, this time without flash! And you see the ABRIS... :pilotfly:.. This is a milestone for me..! Finally my cockpit has come to life..! And I have to say that flying with the ABRIS like this DO bring a whole new sense of being immersed in the simulator..! .. well.. now it's off to bed..:smilewink:

  18. To get the photo from above, this has to happen from time to time :D This is how I know aircraft. This is from Eielson.af.mil You are looking at the inside the engine bay of an F-16, the Accessory Drive Gear box (ADG) area on the Jet Fuel Starter (JFS) side. This is on a F-22 on AF.mil If you do not know how this feels, get some break fluid from your car and poor it down your arm, also try to hold your arms above your head for about half an hour while turning a screw driver or wrench, It feel great :smartass::D I figure we never get to get to see this side of the aircraft we like.
