Прежде всего хочу выразить благодарность парням из ЕД за их работу. Спасибо! Пусть ваши продукты будут продолжать задавать высокую планку качества на рынке боевых авиасимуляторов! А теперь к теме. Я являюсь администратором сервера Авиасибирь. Ничуть не преувеличу если скажу, что проблема борьбы с читерами и прочими игроками, которые своими действиями мешают летать в онлайне, является очень острой. Даже отсутствие ПО выделенного сервера не такая большая проблема, как нарушители правил полётов на серверах. Обходились без выделенного сервака столько лет - подождём ещё, мы терпеливые. Но ни админы серверов, ни пользователи этих серверов не смогут обойтись без эффективного способа ограничения доступа на сервер для... хулиганов. :) На сегодняшний день все способы бана на онлайн серверах реализованы при помощи сторонних самописных утилит, которые блокируют доступ по IP адресу клиента. Способ этот очень неэффективный, т.к. у большинства пользователей IP-адреса динамические: банишь один адрес нарушителя, но он тут же подключается с другим адресом после дисконнекта. :doh: Также нарушители активно используют анонимные прокси-сервера. Только на нашем сервере список правил для бана растянулся на несколько страниц формата А4! Уверен, у других не меньше. Я уже раньше поднимал тему на этом форуме, в которой я говорил об объединении баз айпишников забаненных, чтобы можно было банить нарушителей централизованно. Эффект от этого был, пусть не сильно большой, но был. Самых злостных банили на нескольких популярных серверах. Хочу попросить (простите за банальность) разработчиков сделать в ближайшем патче более эффективный способ бана. Например, по хешу железа, установленного на компьютере пользователя. И желательно не одного устройства, а нескольких. Бан по MAC-адресу сетевой карты тоже не подходит. Сейчас много утилит, которые позволяют менять этот МАК-адрес. Этот хеш мог бы вычисляться клиентом ГС2 всякий раз при подключении к серверу. Пожалуйста, прислушайтесь к этой просьбе. :helpsmilie:Админы и обычные пилоты, которые хотят играть на серверах честно, будут вам благодарны!!! Думаю, меня поддержат многие.6 points

Perhaps something for ED to consider adding now that its clearly defined and illustrated to be there!? Surely it shouldnt be hard to adopt such a timer... Or are there reasons for not doing so? Would be nice to at least have some new, even something as little as this feature added on Su-27, considering the huge boost the F15 just got, and to some extend the Mig with its 6 P-77s... Especially now that ERs are pretty much our most vital weapon and hanging on to it for too long or not long enough is the difference between life and speedy ARMAAM death... :) Surely that would make lots of RuFOR flanker pilots feel alittle more appreciated!3 points

I can't believe people are giving ED such a hard time over this. They are one of the last flight sim devs that actually care about their products and customers. They're not a huge team, so you absolutely need to have patience here. This isn't the kind of thing devs can just slap together anyways. In the end, what we get is the best flight sim experience available. Keep up the good work ED! We're all looking forward to enoying the fruits of your labour. :thumbup:2 points

FuSiOn, you have never participated in community events such as Crimean Incident, Red Flag or Nucleus. These events really push FC to the limits when it comes to the use of real players, AI and game engine capability. Real planning that sometimes lasts for days if not weeks at the time takes place. And indeed, often, SAM sites are the first on the target list of each side. You only look at the FC from the simple on/line gaming where often we all come together to have some fun and show some skills. Therefore, take a deep breath, join one of those big happenings (some of them are by invitation only) and enjoy a real war simulation as you describe it in your post.2 points

Дальность видимости целей с МВ и ПМВ Немало пришлось по всяким полигонам пошарахаться, посему, если кому интересно, опишу дальность видимости разной техники. Дальше всего видно идущую на марше колону – пыль. Или машины, идущие по шоссе. Километров с 8ми – 10ти. Стоящую колону видно километров с 6ти – 7ми. Контраст между дорогой и камуфляжем. Отдельно стоящий танк, видно на песке километров с 5ти – 6ти, а стоящий в поле танк - километров с 4х – 5ти. БТР и БМП на траве, видно километров с 3х - 4х. Артиллерию можно найти с километров 3х, это если позиции не оборудованы, и с 4х – 5ти км увидеть оборудование позиции. Труднее всего заметить окопанный и замаскированный танк. Тут или зависай вне зоны действия ПВО, и ищи его в прибор, или утюж поле под обстрелом. Окопы видно километров с 3х – 4х. Стреляющего по тебе солдата – метров с двухсот – трёхсот. А один раз пехота (на полигоне в Германии), установила нам цели из серой бумаги 2х2м. Так на фоне пожухлой осенней травы, я едва увидел их в отвороте от цели метров с 600. А до этого всё звено отработало просто по координатам, по расчётному времени пуска от разведанного ориентира. И если б я не успел полосонуть по ним из пулемёта Якб-12,7 (Ми-24В), то поражение целей нам бы не засчитали. Теперь разница видимости из вертолётки и того же Су-25. На крайней «Артерии» я обнаруживал установленные для штурмовки Сухарями цели (бумажные щиты) километров с двух. А штурмы, за короткое время пикирование в район цели, так их увидеть и не смогли – отработали по площади. Так что возможность обнаружить цель на поле боя, требует от лётчика высокой сноровки, опыта и кропотливой подготовки. И принепременно надо помнить золотое правило авиации: не обязательно поразить все цели, главное вернутся живым. Как говорится – взлёт нужен для Родины, а посадка нужна пилоту :)2 points

If you ever flew Falcon 4, then you are probably familiar with the cockpit trainer for that sim. This is very similar, but much more detailed. When you mouse over buttons, switches, and guages, a pop-up window will give a brief description of that item. Some items are clickable giving you an even more detailed description. This Cockpit Trainer was developed by a fellow War Hawks member, WH_Snacko, for our squadron Training Module. But once we saw the level of detail Snacko had put into this, we knew we could not keep it for ourselves. War Hawks Training Module Full War Hawk members have access to all training courses, but some are open to the public. The cockpit trainer can be accessed by clicking on the above link. You can then scroll down to find the KA-50 Cockpit Trainer in the Blackshark specific area of our training module. You will be prompted to log in or view as a guest. Yes let’s not talk crazy. Lest we all be playing FPS and not flying any new sims for a lack of good companies to produce them. We are perhaps the luckiest group of finicky bastards ever to have ED/TFC quality simulations to fly now, and look forward to in the future. I wish those who are unhappy could have but a small glimpse of the incredible talent, intellect, and grueling effort I have witnessed firsthand. All of that energy and more goes into producing such outstanding titles as those we are now discussing. It would leave most of you with a much greater respect for how lucky we are to have such a company at all. They do an awful lot for such a small niche genre that I am often amazed that people could possibly complain at all. We are all lucky bastards indeed.:thumbup: Out1 point

So Im working with a nother guy now on the more aircrafts flyable MOD =) I think the first release will be on the weekend ;) If you have some working cockpit positions for some aircrafts please send it me per pm so i have not so much work to find out the right place for each new aircraft. Проблема есть, подтверждаю. Но предложенные варианты - это утопия. Даже в сетевых играх с многомиллионной аудиторией подобного не делается. Единственное - это если клиент будет передавать некий хэш своего ключика - то есть банить аккаунты. Тем не менее полностью поддержу добавление в wishlist любых новых средств для ограничения доступа к серверу.1 point

I totally agree on the point. They sold the product with missigin features and they have increased the price of FC2... We waitted long enought, give us $10 back because we paid for something we don't have. I must add that we're talking about : - money - product - customers And not just about a game and why they fail to make BS and FC2 compatible. They shouldn't release FC2 until what they announced is done, we didn't paid to have half the game, but for the complete list of what was supposed to be the FC2 addon.1 point

Это цена интернет-версии, для дисковой 1С цена будет значительно ниже. 3в. Скачать можете бесплатно, и даже поредактировать миссии и кампании, а также поменять настройки, а вот полетать - нет. Только за 29.99$ 4а. Я лично скачал, чтобы не ждать. А вы решайте, как вам удобнее, не хотите ждать - скачивайте, жалко денег - ждите диск. 4б. Любой кредитной картой из перечисленных на странице оплаты. Или приобрести VISA Virtual за любую интернет-валюту. P.S. Прошу прощения, что влез без мыла. :)1 point

That limited weapon and aircraft scenario you describe has an incarnation called "Crimean Incident" - produced by 51st Bisons. Currently it is being adapted to FC2.0. Would be nice to see lots of other teams participating in this wonderful campaign.1 point

The simple answer is NO! And as stated above, why would you want an unrealistic spotting range? That was the story in FC1 which led to ridiculous and completely unrealistic "Dot hunting" style of flying for both A2G and A2A alike... FC2 however has taken a realistic approach in this sense, which is great IMO, and i hope it stays that way! :) But regardless, even if you wanted to tweak around, its not possible in FC2 AFAIK as some of the key parameters in "graphics.cfg" file that used to affect this are now hardcodded into the sim... For example, "ObjectFogMultiplier" is no longer there, which used to be one of the main culprits for "dot hacks"... In other words, all objects should blend into the fog at range designed by ED now... :thumbup: Besides, do you think you could spot a camouflaged tank from more than 3-4km? I think not! Thats why many Anti-Tank platforms have FLIR systems or A2G radar for doing the "spotting" work for you... All this in mind, it kinda gives u an idea how hard it is flying a vanilla Su-25 now and in RL... Just look at real Su-25 videos from recent Georgia war and compare... You'll note how bad the SA and targeting was on some of those attack runs... Some of them were more like "spray and pray" dives than anything...1 point

What im curious to know is why is everyone trying to "simulate" realism in a game when everyone treats it as a game. It has a FEW realistic factors in it, but a lot of factors pertinent to war are not there and or are missing. You want realism in war time scenario, even a pinch of it.... Fly falcon. What you can hope to do is try to simulate realistic aspects of combat by introducing those conditions in FC2, currently the entire Lockon series plays like an arcade game (Air quake), hence mission developers and server hosts can only hope to overcome this by adding conditions so that their clients/players conform to their "idea" of realistic In any war scenario, the first objective is to take down the enemy Air defense network and radar stations, how often do you see this in any game in lockon? If so... how much priority is it really given? Nil or next to nil... Its all just one gigantic never ending air war to bolster individual pilot/squad egos with an end result being a stale mate, and after a while players get demotivated to fly the same thing over and over due to repetitiveness. There is no mentality of team work, where one side competes vigorously and tactically to out do the other side. God help any of you if you think war is conducted anywhere near how its done in Lockon. eg. If you have been eating rice all your life, you wont know what bread tastes like ;-) ^ Some will get that some wont, to those who get it, apply it, be creative in your mission making! Peace1 point

LOL! Am I seeing what I think I'm seeing? Balance just won over realism in Lock On?! You guys can do whatever you want on your server but I'm surprised by this. Can someone opt out and just use SARHs? What are you guys going to do if the DCS series ever models these fighters? Not play DCS sims I assume? Not only will you not be able to add fictional payloads but you're going to have a lot more to put up with in terms of workload on those Russian fighters. Lets pretend its F-16 vs. MiG-29. Even if you "cheat" and map all the Fulcrum's dashboard stuff to your HOTAS, there's still going to be more to do to get from NAV mode to radar locked on and ready to fire than what the western fighter will have to do. Not to mention the nearly total lack of automation and reliance on your GCI/AWACS controller having their crap together. Will it be F-16C blue vs. F-16C read all the time then? :P This is where I think Black Shark had the good fortune of being only co-op multiplayer. You have a very limited air to ground helicopter with fairly limited mission roles and almost no chance of surviving anything except those roles...even then...you can't expect miracles. For example, no one complained about how unfair it was that you couldn't operate at night. Probably because there weren't any players in those ground units with thermal sights to actually get into an e-peen measuring contest with. You just didn't operate at night...because you couldn't. No one cried about that, it was just accepted. You didn't feel like you were being unfairly beaten by a bunch of nasty human players laughing at you and high-fiving each other in their tanks as they drove around in the dark unopposed. This is yet another reason why I keep my flight sim time single player and I keep all my multiplayer stuff in actual multiplayer games where balance doesn't have to be based on reality. That way if I want to cry about something, no one can just point to reality a smirk at me. :D1 point

The SU-27SK (Serial Kommercial) version as well as SU-27S (Serial) both have time to impact timers on the hud. Below is the excerpt from the SU-27SK declassified manual: Number 28. Time left till the missile intercepts the target. And also, as far as I know what is modeled in the game is in fact SU-27S (Serial) not P (PVO) if it was indeed model P then we would have no Ground Attack capabilities and would have a refueling probe. :megalol: I can fly and SU's instead, do you can fly anything else (A 10 not counted)? btw I expected "answer" like this bcs I get use to it to listen like those when you dont have any for real. Nevermind, all ppl here get the point about all. When I saw new brand LO 2.0 with pics of F 15 everywhere shining around, and only pic of SU 27 in run with a lot of flares behind, and one of Mig 29 burried into ground, I realised whats going on here, and what was goal in LO 2.0. :music_whistling:1 point

Thanks all. I won't be using real toggles, too expensive. Instead, I based my cutouts on the actual hardware I will be using. The switches I have unfortunately don't have an anti-torque notch, but you can see the notch cut out for the rotary switch. I do plan to compensate for twisting on the toggles, just not sure how yet. Good point on the RCVR mechanism. I've studied your pictures and I think I will mount it to the back plate. I'll place the holes for standoffs once I design that component. I may decide to use a pot with a center detent for that lever, or I may use two microswitches as you did. If I use a pot, it will be a simple matter of edge detection to determine when it goes from CLOSE to OPEN and vice-versa. I'd also like some kind of spring action to slightly pull the lever to one side or another from the mid point, with no pull at the mid point. I'll have to think about that one. Measurements: The only measurements I'm sure are accurate are the overall dimensions, and the DZUS positions. Other than that, the cutouts are meant for the specific hardware that I will be using, so your results may vary.1 point

Thanks guys. I see that running it over the web can cause some of the screens not to load when you click them because the entire 8 meg flash file has not completed downloading. You will see the message 'Transfering Data from War-Hawks.net...' in the status bar. I am going to try and add a 'Loading...' page to in the next week or two to make sure it is fully downloaded before the user tries to use it. Until then, you can see if it is still downloading in your status bar. Once it says 'Done' it should be fully functional. Snack1 point

easier possible nice solution to cut away mechanical freespace of less 1mm on teeth... but there is an even easier solution to make x52 very precise in roll as in pitch....clipp down (alltime pressed) RESET button on mfd this in an electronical issue what i already communicated with saitek engineering (reply of saitek somewhere on saitek forums) u will see the difference in ur control panel on the red bars where u can see the deadzones..... compare roll and pitch (smoothness and centering by easy realease) with clipped and without clipped button usually if u use much curves ingame u will not notice it that much ....but u will example i am flying combat and formation with no deadzone and no curves at all ( green button of axis control in lockon disabled ) and it works good enuf to make a barrol-roll in slot with nose between rudders of lead-plane enjoy1 point
