  1. Dedicated to the community, V1.7 of my Editor MOD is available here: Lockon User Files and here: STP Forum (please hit "Refresh" if you see the old image) By installing this MOD the following features are added or changed in BS Mission Editor Coalitions Now you can change coalitions at any time. Click on the new coalitions icon to open the coalitions dialog. Trigger Editor Newly created trigger objects will be inserted into the trigger list behind the currently selected trigger item - not at the end anymore. In trigger dialog, there now are arrow buttons at the top of each listbox, so you can move the currently selected item one position up or down within the list. The new "CLONE" buttons below each of the lists create a deep copy of the currently selected trigger, rule or action and insert it behind the selected element. Changed the width of the two trigger edits "Name" and "Type" to enhance readability. If this proves to be helpful other edit box widths could be changed as well in future releases In trigger dialog, there now are two rule lists that are AND or OR combineable. The two modes ((OR) AND (OR)) and ((AND) OR (AND)) can be selected by pressing the new buttons "(A) AND (B)" and "(A) OR (B)" between the lists. It's up to you to leave one list empty. Existing missions created in older or unmodded installations are compatible and can be edited without limitations. Missions containing AND/OR triggers are runtime compatible with unmodded hosts. Unit List The new button "CLONE" creates a deep copy of the currently selected unit group including waypoints, targets, target categories, units, their payloads and liveries. The new buttons "SHOW ALL", "HIDE ALL" and "TOGGLE" work like their counterparts in the trigger list dialog but only the visible list elements are affected. So, using the filters, you can selectively show or hide groups of elements or toggle between them. Map View This MOD features <51>Case's "bearing bugfix"; Thank you Case! Missions created and edited using ModdedME run on unmodded installations too. Missions created with an older or unmodded version can be edited without restrictions. Use ModMan to install. For further details you can visit http://spare-time-pilots.de/viewtopic.php?f=7&t=543 or post your questions here. Version history V1.7 NEW: in trigger dialog every listbox now has arrow buttons to move list entries up or down within the list NEW: in trigger dialog every listbox now has a button "CLONE" that inserts a copy of the selected item NEW: in trigger dialog there now are 2 rule lists (A and B) and two buttons "(A) OR (B)" and "(A) AND (B)" that allow different logical combinations of rule items NEW: contains <51>Case's bearing bugfix. Thank you Case! FIX: Hammer (STP) and Pat01 (eagle.ru) found out, that liveries of aircraft are not copied for cloned items, what is now fixed. Thanks Pat and Hammer! INFO: Cloning units moves the first waypoint a few hundred meters away from it's original position to prevent "ghost objects" in map editor, but this could change the waypoint task. V1.6 NEW: coalitions can be edited at any time and for existing missions. FIX: button "duplicate" in units list now (at least partially) visible at horizontal screen resolution of 1280px V1.5 FIX: bug in trigger duplicate function caused groups of existing triggers to change their type when a clone's type was changed FIX: airfield information was missing of cloned groups that start on ramp V1.4 First public version.

  2. Congrats Spain! Still, as a Dutchman, I'd liked to have seen Holland win, despite their rough playing.

  6. Hi I found a temporary solution for those who really want independent throttle on X65F. you will have to create a x65f profil via STT where you assign "directional axis" to the throttle 2, then you set input "scroll wheel" up and down; next step is in FC2 option where you set "throttle right" on "MouseZ". better than words to explain: This solution work pretty fine on Su-25 I hope it will help you wait for upcoming fix. (sorry for bad english)

  7. Small patch - info list panel Update: v1.7.4 is attached to this post (September 19th). This fixes the last of the known issues around 'subtriggers' when deleting/cloning/reordering triggers, so they won't start pointing to random other triggers if you change things around. Includes ground unit auto-namer and crazy subtrigger stuff (experimental). Click on the thumbnail below for a screenshot, which probably explains it better than the following text does. The intention of this patch is to make it easier to keep track of interactions between the various components of a mission: flags, zones, groups and units. It adds two lists to the bottom of the triggers dialog. On the left is a list of all flags/zones/groups/unit that are referenced by a trigger's conditions or actions. If you click on one of them in the list on the left, then a list of triggers referencing it is shown to the right. If you click on one of those triggers in the list on the right, then it will be selected in the trigger list at the top-left of the screen. The buttons at the bottom let you select which kind of object you're interested in. Bugs/caveats/misfeatures: only ever updates when the button is clicked. If you make any changes to your triggers, the information will become out of date. You can click on one of the info buttons to have it refreshed. it's received very limited testing, and may have bugs. no localisation. may go off the screen if your resolution is too low. You should be okay if you have at least 900 pixels vertical resolution. almost certainly it does everything the hard way and reinvents the wheel several times and in the wrong shape. To install it, you first need to have Blindspot's ME mod installed (v1.7, see the first post in this thread for the download links). Then download InfoListv1.7.4.zip (attached below) into your ModMan addons directory, and install it using ModMan. It will then show "Info List patch" v1.7.4 as fully installed (green), and "BLINDSPOTs moddedME" v1.7 as partially installed (yellow). To remove this patch, just re-install Blindspot's ME using ModMan, making sure you've selected "Force re-installing files...". Danger, Will Robinson! ModMan is very likely to lose track of your original files with this process, so it's probably a good idea to manually back up your "...\BlackShark\modules" directory. Permission is granted to anyone to use this for anything they want, subject to ED's own terms and conditions. InfoListv1.7.4.zip

  8. Please see it as constructive criticism. I think it would be a good practice to inform the customers on the status of their order, specially since the money already left the bank account. Worse than having to wait 2 weeks for an order, is not having a proactive response from the shop telling me to expect a delay on the delivery.

  12. Aspect ration is your problem. One of your monitor alone maybe 16x10 but when seen as one screen through eyefinity they are 48x10. The aspect ratio setting in game is for the entire display not just one screen. If there is not an appropriate option listed you will need to set it by hand in the options.lua file.

  13. What if you modify the .cmd with to replace, say, "...nomera.tga..." with "...nomera_A10.tga..." and have a specific nomera file for the A-10 (or for each plane for that matters) ? Not sure at all it would work, but could be worth a try

  16. This ^^ The core market of simmers probably know about a games release 6 months before it actually comes out. ED dont need a system such as steam to advertise and provide the game to people who are going to buy it anyway, because then they have to give a share to Steam. If ED released A-10C on Steam, then I would buy it on Steam and steam would take a cut. If they don't release it on Steam then I will buy it anyway and ED will get all of my money. Once the core market has bought their copy from ED, ED can use steam to reach out to the greater market that would perhaps not have bought it. I would love to have A-10C on Steam, but I totally understand why its not. Being in disbelief that it wont be released this way and then expecting an explanation from game developers is pretty arrogant IMO.

  17. Not if Steam isn't working (eg their authentication server is down). If steam doesn't load or connect properly then you can't load your game unfortunately. Once Steam has taken control, you lose it. The days of simply running an executable are over with Steam games.

  19. Tacbat - Open the Command File by RIGHT clicking on it and instead of trying to open it click on EDIT, it will open then. The texture files and shown at the very bottom. It's not an A10 file as such, NOMERA has lots of stuff in it for many of the countries in the game, you cannot alter anything in it in the normal ways. I suggest you look through the add on's site to find the modified NOMERA files, one of them was adjusted to take out just the USA stuff. BUT, if you do that you loose the US insignia and numbers on every US model in the game. That's the only way you can do what you are trying to do, sorry. This is the place to look. http://www.lockonfiles.com/

  20. Paid full price for TIR4 back in 2007 and will do so again if/when mine dies. It increases immersion a ton, and it's so natural, you forget it's there. Which is why, after using it for a few weeks, you'll start turning your head during movies to change the POV.

  25. Sorry to post off topic......... But I to have noticed some seemingly odd behavior with armor on armor. But sometimes you need to get down to their level & by that I mean terrain. Its not all flat. This was 30 on 30. Results vary with who gets the first soulution. Also seen 2 rolling T80s destroy 4 standing M1A1s (spose thats what happens when you put a expreso machine in a tank)

  27. Are you talking about the enemies for a specific mission or about the various enemy units in general? The built in encyclopedia has pictures and some specifications of all of the equipment represented, and learning to recognize different units on the Shkval is an important skill to develop. Spend some time with the encyclopedia to learn what the units look like, and looking up units by name on the Internet will provide loads of real world information that by and large you will find faithfully modeled in the DCS world. You should also play the "Shooting Range" mission, which gives you the opportunity to start up, take off and navigate in a training environment. There are a number of already dead targets to practice shooting at with all the different weapons at your disposal, and it is easy to use the mission editor to add any units you like so you can practice on them in a training environment. The learning curve is long and sometimes steep, but definitely worth the effort - Black Shark is a great sim!

  28. - Ranks (Grades) and Flags are done They are visible in the Logbook What I need now to complete the pack are : - Medals. You can also indicate 6 medals that could be used in game; - Squadrons (badges) and Names for planes and helicopters. This are the most difficult informations to find. - This stuff is only there to complete the Logbook, the mod is working without it and you can place planes/cars/ships/buildings in each countrie by editing the db_countries.lua - The new coutries are not in the standart coalitions (this is my choise), you can choose it when you create a new mission, you can also change this by editing Default_coalitions.lua in \BlackShark\data\scripts.

  33. That wouldn't allow us to have the fun ourselves. Tested SA-18 StrelaS. Aircraft is 500m 200kmph, large 70-80° cut through threat circle to about 50% range. 3 shots for this system. Format is XXX (Program): H (Hit), N (Near miss), F (Far miss) 017: F,F,H* 017: F,F,H* 017: F,F,F** 019: F,F,N 011: F,F,N 012: N,N,N 013: H,N,F 014: H,H,F *Due to high flare usage last missile used dispenser on the left (far) side from the threat **Repeat of the test above it but using the left (far) side for the first two missiles and the right (near) side for the last 023: F,F,F 024: H,N,N 034: H,N,? SA-9 Gecko, 45° offset 012: F,H,H,N 023: H,F,H,H 053: H,H,F,N Post-launch deployment (about 1/2 way) 181: N,N,N,N Chapparal - 45° offset 012: H,F,F,N Avenger 023: Fx3, Nx2,F,N Avenger 100kmph 013: N,Hx5, Nx2 024: 50% H Overall I found that timing is very important. For high speed and angles it usually only takes one flare in the beginning 10-30% of the missile's flight to have it miss. Long sequence delays had the problem of being very hit and miss with such short flight time. 011 proved to be slightly more reliable than 022 for this reason (and much more than 033) despite the same usage of flares over a given time. Probability of hit improved noticeably with later shots as the first one was the most likely to miss and later missiles tracking better. Using more flares during a missile flight greatly increased the odds of deflecting the missile, even at small angles. 2 and up to 6 showed noticeable improvements over a single flare, especially for a delayed launch. The newer and heavier missiles seemed slightly harder to spoof (AIM-9, SA-13) but not by much. SA-9 was the weakest tracker by far. Dispenser side seemed to make some difference in certain situations but not in others.
