  6. I have been using many kinds of hydraulically assisted work machines that have had several different kinds of hydraulically assisted steering systems. The ones that have the same kind that is found in helicopters generally have no feel other than very light resistance like in a fluid dampener and when you try to turn the wheel too fast the resistance feels like the resistance in brake pedal. It gives in a little bit but pushing harder doesn't make it go faster. I would suspect the helicopter controls feel pretty much like this?

  8. Having to recenter the pedals in the game while having a FFB stick is hard to get used to since you dont recenter the stick. I would mod my pedals in a sec to hold position if it would work like that in the game :/ Seems all you would need are a few cheapo hydraulic dampers and to just adjust the pedals so there is no centering spring...but then this would make the pedals terrible for fast movers since the pedals would no longer return to center.

  9. I'd rather have it. The A10 is mostly being used to attack men on the ground these days anyways. Infantry is the biggest part of any war. You can bomb and strafe everything til your hearts content but you cant win a war unless theres troops on the ground where the meat meets the metal. I'm sorry I don't agree at all with the yesmen I want to see troops fleeing and acting in a somewhat realistic manner. No we don't need little exploding bits of men, but having ground troops that actually move and participate would be ideal.

  10. Decided to share few photos of my models that I currently have at home. Helicopters (1:72): Ka-50Sh and RAH-66 Comanche: Attack aircrafts (1:72): A-10A, Su-25 Fighters (1:72): F-35 (variation of early prototype X-35), MiG-21 bis Famous SR71, with same scale 1:72, it didn't fit in light-box so it's separate photo: My current WIP - MiG-29UB (1:48 ), I want to paint it in Luftwaffe camo. Also some of my old panzers :) WW2 Tiger and IS-2 in 1:35 Papercrafts! Pretty complex PZ4: And simple, white models of Leopard and some WW2 armored car (forgot exact name):

  11. EtherealN, I understand there are more pressing features and fixes to be implemented and that is why I worded my first post as such; will we ever see it in DCS series? I know I'd get shot down for this but I feel little soldiers as well as other objects, no matter how insignificant they may be, should behave the same way they would in real life in a sim of this caliber. The immersion factor will go through the roof from seeing, on the FLIR, AI soldiers react to your presence and then being blown around like they would in real life. you gotta admit though that this will make one hell of a track. I'm not advocating gore for our beloved hobby, but a lot of people are fascinated by this stuff and this could rake in gamers from across the genre.

  12. Ok here is the skinny. Passive Detection systems you are referencing are only in a 360 degree lateral azimuth. That means from nose to wingtip to tail to wingtip to nose. The system classifiies a threat and displays the treat to the RWR for emitter classification symbol and an azimuth arc is drawn. The system referenced does not give above or below information. Turning nose on the emitter and painting for the target and locking the target will give an altitude reference in the radar display. The Jstars has a phase sensor that can tell where a threat is in a 3d environment and can data link to the F-16 and F-15. Thats about as much as I can tell you.

  13. Good luck, I tried it once, took me FOREVER just to line 1 up and I lost the will to live in the process, so I gave up. Tomcatz as working on that problem a while ago, I never saw any results from that. Try asking him.

  14. Please note: FogParam1 = 10; FogParam2 = 1.1; Changing (lowering) these settings coused terrible FPS problems with Blackshark (when Shkval is on). I assume the same happens with the A10 Maverick MFD. 2nd note: These settings are now "server forced". So you will have the server settings no matter what your settings are if you fly at a online server. (see "servergraphics.cfg" in Config folder.)

  16. I will say this, from what I have heard and read, there are some passive systems precise enough, probably coupled with datalink between aircraft for triangulation (details are classified) can infact locate enemy emmissions (both distance and angles up/down and sides) and even place defensive LOAL shots in any direction (provided the aircraft is armed with thrust vectored weapons). Not every plane and not every user has access to this advanced capabilities. The rest of us flying exported equipment very much likely has only the traditional capabilities. Unfortunatly this info comes as is and I am unable reffer to any official sources, nor specify more details.

  17. Dude... the day Flight Sims look and sound like Glowing Ammram's videos... our jobs will all be doomed. No one will ever work again. :pilotfly: Don't watch his videos... it's just like looking at your smooth neighbor over the fence while she's sunbathing and then looking back over your shoulders to your hairy tart. It hurts man... it hurts... :D Glowing Ammram is for Lockon what MysticPuma is for IL2. Check some of his videos... you slobber your mouth away.
