  3. Engine is build around doing a specific area of things. Because different problems (i.e. draw optimalization) have different optimal solutions in different situations. There is no universal solution, you have to make compromises. Computers still have limited power, limited memory, limited bus bandwith. And making a map the size of chernarus with mostly flat terain and no objects is not even a start for a flight sim. You cannot force cryengine do be a full flight simulator no more you can force Starcraft 2 engine to be a FPS. Math can be get pretty complex, you know?

Attempted to keep much of the same tasking, formatting, etc just updated it to work via the scripting engine instead of triggers.   8. TARS is a plugin which will allow you to integrate DCS: A-10 with Teamspeak 3. The concept is simple: No channel switching in Teamspeak to ruin immersion. Rather, multiplayer communication ought to be accomplished by setting the radio in the plane to an agreed upon frequency and using that. You have radios in the game, so why not be able to extend that level of immersion to the multiplayer environment using Teamspeak? If other Teamspeak users are on that radio channel and they're in the same Teamspeak 3 channel as you, they will be able to communicate with you over any of the radios in your aircraft. If you die and/or go to spectator mode, you will automatically be placed into a parallel “virtual channel” where you can communicate with your fellow spectators without having to switch channels in Teamspeak. We hope to release a beta for testing in early 2011. Since we are in a very early phase of development now, the TARS team's current goal is to gather input from the community at this stage, just in case there's a gem of a feature that heavy-MP users need that we can try to implement in the first phase of the project. Planned features include: Automatic control of your radio communications based on what channel you're tuned to and whether or not your radios are on. If you are on a given channel that other players are on, you'll be able to communicate with them without having to worry if you're in the correct Teamspeak channel. Dead/Spectator enforcement. If you get killed in-game, you will be sent into a spectator mode where you'll be able to communicate with other players who are dead and/or spectating. Radio effective range enforcement. VFM FM radio, for instance, has a limited broadcast range when compared to its AM counterpart. This ought to reflect in gameplay. TARS is planned around a client based architecture, with no need to install extra software or otherwise modify the Teamspeak 3 server where you play. Planned future integration with Black Shark once A-10 integration is complete. If possible (and as a secondary objective), we'll be adding radio filter effects based on things like distance and radio type, for a more immersive gaming experience. There are plenty of additional goodies that may become possible in the future. However the above are the main gameplay-enhancing goals. The purpose of this announcement is to engage the participation of the community early in the development cycle so that we can be as responsive as possible to your needs. When it comes time for beta testing, we plan to fully engage the participation of the community.   11. hey just a wee post is to why has all the missions for DCS BS stopped the only ones u can get now all for fastmovers and about 5 KA50s in missions on the servers. This is a bit sad as the shark is a great chopper to fly and we need more missions for the shark and get it back to the way it used to be i have tryed to make missions my self but am a dafty when it all comes down to makeing missions. so pls can we get some missions for the Shark pls cheers Outlaw

EDIT: Couple of bugs squashed.. new versions uploaded: 8th Jan 16:00 BST Okay... i present you a monster of a mission(s)... i've ploughed a lot of time into this. 4 Versions are included: 2 multiplayer coop 8 versions (full & lite) & 2 single player versions (full & lite) A 100 odd triggers manage this mission, only god knowns how many conditions. It has been thoroughly tested in a multiplayer environment and has been specifically designed as a muliplayer coop mission, single player is just an after thought. Mission features: One of 16 variations will be launched at mission start, this should provide a lot of 're-playability'. 4 possible missions, each with 4 tasks, with 4 possible threat environments, = 16 variations. I have included the full version, a lite version with a somewhat reduced threat environment and two single player versions, full & lite. The single player versions are the exact same, except you have 2 wing men to help. You can use the single player versions in multiplayer.. lead plane will have 2 wingmen. All tasks given via messages, triggered when needed. You must complete one task before moving onto the next, you will be told when a task has been completed. 3 AFAC flights providing FAC & JTAC Dynamic weather Ramp start. Follow orders and have fun! Enjoy :pilotfly: P.S. Expect a 1 - 2 second pause / lag at mission start as the mission does its thing. Performance has been very smooth when in mission.   18. Mwoah, at the moment I get as much fun out flying navigation trips in the F-16 in FSX as I get from blowing stuff up in DCS with the A-10C. The current campaign system just doesn't float my boat at all so I don't really see the point in blowing stuff up. Besides, most fighter pilots make 99,99% of the flying hours in peace time, I know a lot of fighter pilots that had entire carreers and that never dropped a bomb in anger. What I am doing in FSX is actually way more realistic ;)

  20. Конкретно: когда появляется(при загрузке чего) "синий экран"? Если загружается в "безопасном", попробуй поудаляй( или отключи) те программы, или драйвера(установленные), которые загружаются при запуске системы(видео,звук и т. д.). Только не переусердствуй.

  21. I am not threatening anybody. I bought Lock On and Flaming CLiff's because i was almost sure the way of the dynamic campaign was the way to go and that DCS would also follow that same path. What made a flight simm for me is not only flying separate missions and use the aircraft avionics as realistic as possible... But also the feeling that you are working with other forces in a effort to stop the enemy. Right now i have been playing Lockon and FC2/DCS for a cople years... It was extremely fun. But i never ever got the grand scale feeling TAW and Falcon brought me. It was just playing the same missions over and over again and go head to head in MP with no purpose at all. Even the nicest community made maps made me sad when i finsihed them. I had destroyed a SAM site... wooptiedoo. It was fun doing it... but the endresult is so empty. Yeah, good luck with that :) (from GGTharos) Me: I have allready waited a considerable amount of time playing Lock On and DCS. So a cople more years won't hurt. Why is it so importend to be able to view everything that is happening anywhere in the world when in most FC missions there are only a handfull of planes. Nothing interested is going on besides the mission your flying in most FC missions because there is no dynamic campaign. You can't ask support from other fighters... cause there are no other fighters.. or they operate alone with no means to ask them for help. AWACS is totally useless cause the limited numbers of other aircraft in the air and again... you can't even ask the AWACS for help to dispatch other fighters to your area or to reroute the refueler. When the AWACS go's down it's like "whatever". You can't have scrambles to react on incomming fighters.... Cause first of all incomming fighters in FC are heavely scripted so they only come when the mission makers actually wants them to come. Bottem line... the DCS and FC series are cool to play. But seriously lack indepth gameplay that makes you sit on the edge of your chair wondering what will happen next or what you have to do next. And like sticky say's, even if you fail most of the missions you still have a great feeling. Right now if i fail the mission i get a feeling like i'm playing a FPS. Hit restart and try again. I think the feeling of being a part of something bigger would make this game outstanding even if there are some flaws in the campaign. When playing their games trough the years and reading alot about their product i tought it would be possible for them to make a full dynamic campaign in maybe 2 years.

  23. посмотрел и я трек. раз попросили высказаться-скажу: 9 вылетов- итоговый счет 6,5-2 в пользу КОТа. Вылеты по порядку: 1) 1:0 (Кот весь вылет просидел на хвосте у Мюррея, стрелял неточно, но в результате у противника закончилось топливо (из за этого катапультировался?) аргументы типа " он по мне не попал-значит ничья" - неубедительны, так как ты постоянно держал противника сзади, а вдруг у него ракеты есть... (ИМХО) 2) 2:0 3) 3:0 4) 4:0 5)4:1 явно стало заметно, что КОТ расслабился, так как после 4:0 даже Барселона расслябляется :-), за что и получил две подряд оплеухи вполне заслуженно 6)4:2 7) 5:2 8) 6:2 9) 6,5:3 размен, НО Кот катапультировался, а пилот Мюррея был мертв в кабине :-) Как по мне - победа убедительная. Сражалось два достойных пилота, один оказался сильнее, второму надо признать это и пожать руки (виртуально).Примечание- на треке не видно было, писалось ли после перезахода Кота о том, что он был убит Мюрреем во время лобовых схождений, но было реально видно, что после того как Мюррей катапультировался, самолет оппонента был управляем! Чего же боле?

Вообще надо ставить начиная с младшей ОС те XP потом 7 ка, диск можно при этом любой выбирать для установки каждой из ОС Иначе загрузчик ХР не видит 7 ку т к он про неё ничё не знает Конечна можно пошаманить и сделать загрузчик для обоих систем Но лучше, если ещё окончательно не снёс XP, попытаться её востановить В биосе поставить первым загрузка DVDRom и вставить диск с Xp может он найдёт аварийную ОС и Предложит её восстановить ЗЫ вообще лучше этот вопрос посмотреть на специализированных форумах т к на этом сисадминов и программистов не очень много

  30. В этом и загвоздка, было 2 ничьи, было поражение обоих ЛА снарядами противников. Чтобы была истина об этих двух ничейных ситуациях, нужен трэк кота, потому что это будет объективной оценкой в такой ситуации. И никак иначе эту ситуацию не разрулить. Простая математика, как в шахматах, ничья означает + пол очка каждой стороне. В данном случае я в этих двух лобовых поразил кота пушкой, каковы его отказы, будет ясно только из его трэка. Любой другой трэк от внешних видов правды не раскроет. Мне ясна особенность реализации по стате, она дает объективную картинку. Кот пошел в лобовую, был бит. На сколько сильно это уже не важно. Если он подставил свой ЛА под прямой удар, о силе или каком-то проффесионализме речи уже идти не может. И разумеется мне ясны мотивы кота скрыть трэк полетов середнячка против середнячка. Ты собираешься что-то сказать по трэку экстраполированных полетов с внешних видов? Ну-ну. Трэк кота и мой трэк объективно раскроют все плюсы и минусы обоих ганзистов. Остальное просто субъективно, это как судить о вкусе напитка по его цвету. :) Первое, мы не чемпионат летали. Второе, ты видел чемпионат на симуляторах по бегу? А симуляторах фигуристов? :) Да, Олег, пары-тройки побед у кота не наблюдается. Хм. С чего бы это? Я хотел увидеть бой сильного против середнячка, а получилось что каждый второй пинок свинцом, кот благополучно пропускал. Т.е. кот будучи "крутым" ганзистом не продемонстрировал существенную разницу в счете и качестве своих ганзо-полетов. Для себя я сделал выводы по поводу "экспертных" оценок кота и их легитимности. Нежелание выложить ожидаемый трэк лишь подтверждает мои выводы и наводит на разного рода подозрения в шаманстве с игрой. :)

  36. F-2 is 20% larger, visual differences are smaller LERX's, more pronounced dihedral wings with 2 extra hard points, the cockpit is framed whereas the falcons is single piece. The F-2 also uses composites more extensively, the cockpit has 3 large digital displays, a different HOTAS and the worlds first AESA radar produced locally in Japan.

To make it vaguely fun and so it doesn't take 12 hours, you'd have to make the map smaller, which would make the hunt even easier for said CAS. This results in simply a dumbing down ala the battlefield series..

  44. Смазывать можно, но очень часто приходится повторять процедуру, начинает закусывать. Мне больше всего понравилась графитовая смазка, немного грязновато выглядит, но функцию свою выполняет. Тут "товарищей нет", кого-то и парафин устраивает, экспериментируй. ;)

So, do you find it easier to design something that is more tailored made to co-op as opposed to PvP where things can be more chaotic? I mean, you can be more linear with a smaller player base of co-op etc.
