  1. I'm grumpy sometimes, but... arrogant, mocking, irritating, and Incorrect. Hell, you could have added some more adjectives... Thanks Deadman! On a serious note: I will have access to a full A-10A simulator this weekend, and I can measure parts if someone needs dims. Let me know what you want if anything, Flim

  2. Hi, We took a step for F-16C in Lock On world. We made cockpit model (%90) but cockpit's textures're at %30 and F-16C model is at %90(no skin but unwraped).. we researched to make a good cockpit but we couldnt solve some problems as HUD, MFD, TEWS...:( we breaked project since 7 months.. So if we can solve these problems or ED helps us, we will make F-16C.. F-16C 3D Model: Yeniçeri F-16C 3D Cockpit Model: 141st_Alper F-16C 3D Cockpit Textures: 141st_c@sper And special thanks to: 141st_Kaplan, 141st_Eko1 Some pictures of project ANKA::pilotfly:

  7. Hi I was hosting a server earlier in the evening with my TS address listed. A lot of the bigger flying communities, 1st VFW S77th Tigers etc sometimes have the TS address in the mission briefing which can be viewed in MP server screen. Once the dedicated server is available I think many open servers will be available to join. But you have to realise that the missions available to a large extent don't cater to Join In Progress and the headache caused by teamkilling taking off on the wrong runway and lack of communication can be quite acute. Also Iron Angels is AFAIK always open:)

  8. In accordance with U.S. military doctrine, "DANGER CLOSE" is basically defined as the employment of ordnance on a target where friendly forces are within a radius that corresponds to a 0.1% PI (probability of incapacitation). For a low-drag, contact-fused (i.e. non-airburst) Mk-82 bomb, the DANGER CLOSE radius is 245 meters / 804 feet. For training purposes, the MINIMUM SAFE DISTANCE for a Mk-82 bomb (all versions) is 1200 meters / 3936 feet.

  10. Well I gave you some tips at ARC already (aka Seb) but to answer you this one - if that is the grandstand on the crowd line, then you are some 100-125m away from the runway - assuming crowdline is 50m from the runway... it is also interesting to note that there are no fences at the crowdline - only loudspeaker towers and the wires connecting them, and between each tower an army guard or two...

  13. These are probably Dual Pole, Single Throw (DPST), also marked as ON-OFF These are similar to a Dual Pole Dual throw (DPDT), also know as ON-OFF-ON, the middle position on the switch is not-connected to any outside pin. These are Dual Pole, Dual Throw (DPDT), also know as ON-ON That question is quite unclear, if you have a ON-ON switch, you can wire each side to a different input and these 2 input will be always in opposition, one input will be OFF while the other will be ON but this is quite a wasteful arrangement, this could be done in software to reduce the size of the input board. You can also send 2 different command with a ON-OFF-ON switch, for example, the left connection can be connected to input#1, the middle contact to either Vcc or GND depending of the board and the right connector will be connected to input #2. When the switch is in the middle position, both input will be at the OFF state and when the switch is in either the left or the right position, one of the two input will be at ON while the other will be at OFF. If you are using a Leo Bodar board, you can use this schematic to wire the different buttons in a matrix. You can use some 1N4148 diode to correct possible ghost key. If you don't use them, you will not be able to push more than ~3 button at the same time. If you use a BU0836X, you do not need any diode in the circuit.

  14. Been guilty of doing that at low altitude more than once :music_whistling:. Axis curves can be the death of you sometimes if you pull back too hard.

  18. As I understand it (not 100%) that diamond indicates a laser target picked up by the Pavepenny system. As this system is now obsolete on the A-10c, you will not see it.

  19. I don't think the A-10 has any equipment to magically put a diamond over a target... The closest you'd get would probably be having the JTAC lase the target for you so you can pick it up with the TGP, but that's probably somewhat more involved than you're after. Or... you could play in game mode, in which case targets will be clearly marked. If you're making your own missions, coloured smoke markers are amongst the best visual cues.

  20. No Mvsgas is right Pilotasso - its extra fuel. Yes but there is no room in the MiG-29 airframe for larger fuel tanks - hence the need for the "hump back", which BTW is far more pronounced on the SMT than on the 9-13. The exception is the MiG-29M/MiG-29K for which the changed FOD protection system(no auxillary overwing intakes) made room for extra fuel in the LERX'es - i.e. no need for that ugly hump :) .

  26. Multiplayer has a lot of potential. I can see why people password their servers though. It is a bit frustrating when all you want to do is fly with some real life people without the added awkwardness of connecting to a TS server and annoucing yourself. For some people that feels like intrusion. I would personally connect and fly with others, and use text chat for a while until I get to know them a bit, then connect to TS. I really hope ED bring out a dedicated server that merges with FC2 and Blackshark, along with some good administration tools. That would be the icing on the cake.
