Some flanker flying. Cold war style. And no wings where broken because of structural damage.

You will have the same struggles online in 6 to 8 months as if you would jump on now. Only difference is, in 6 to 8 months you think you have figured it out. The master of AI killing.. Only to get disappointed, because they will still kill you as easy as if you jumped online right now. (That last sentence is badly constructed. Don't know how to construct it in proper English)

After locking target, fps drop to stutters

I heard it sometimes occurs with MIG-29 as well. -

Total noob section with KB commands
winchesterdelta1 replied to Akula's topic in DCS: Flaming Cliffs
Try flying the Mirage 2000C. It has a good public made manual detailed but easy to use. It's still in Alpha but still really good to fly in single or MP. -
??? Why are you suggesting things that you think should be the case because it's annoying? Should you not be suggesting things that are realistic and working in the real plane? If above said is realistic forget about what i said. But if you want it like this just because it's annoying i think it's a useless suggestion to have it that way.

Other types of AI planes can launch it. -

There is somewhere a post from GGTaros with a list of 22 missing radar features for the F-15. -
Total noob section with KB commands
winchesterdelta1 replied to Akula's topic in DCS: Flaming Cliffs
It is good to study some basic things before you start. But instead of trying to learn everything perfectly from the start you can also just jump into that plane and try stuff. It is still a Simulation game with no consequences if you crash. And it's fun to crash :) How i learned is to just jump into the plane. Have your browser and team speak on your second screen and search and ask away while you are on the server flying. If you come across things you don't know you can quickly search or ask for it during or after the flight (really hard to search things while flying a fighter. Unless played in single player). And if need be you quickly jump out of the game to change some settings or controls. How i learned the Mirage without reading a letter from the manual: - Jump in free flight with a plane that starts air. Fly around a bit so you get the feel. Try some crazy stuff. Try to land. Configure joystick and try again. - Jump in Airplane on the ground. Search and watch a startup video while mimicking that in your cockpit at the same time till you have it right. Go to controls and configure the things you think are handy for startup procedure. Or just use the cockpit levers and buttons. - After this i joined a multiplayer server and team speak and asked the people how to use the Air to Air modes. I flew a bit. Asked people about what are the most important things to have on HOTAS for air to Air. Configured those. Went back to play on the server.. And do this a couple times till you have the right setup for your joystick. - After you have the basic things done. Just keep flying and dying. You will learn new tricks and figure out better settings to configure on your joystick. Be on TS so you can have fun flying with those people. And ask them things you don't understand. And everything will also be less frustrating. Keep flying and when not flying, or during flying read some parts of the manual you want to learn, watch some tutorials on YouTube and search the forums. This is maybe the most retarded way to learn it. But it works for me. :) :) -
After locking target, fps drop to stutters
winchesterdelta1 replied to BSS_Sniper's topic in F-15C for DCS World
Yup.. Check my vid at 2:40:16. At the moment i lock 1 guy up in TWS the frame rate drops dramatically. [ame] [/ame] If the server reaches around 50 players and more this behavior starts to occur. With a restart of your game it will fix for like 2 or 3 sorties. But i think if you do not die or re-spawn it will not occur at all until you do a couple times. But i can be wrong about that. -
After locking target, fps drop to stutters
winchesterdelta1 replied to BSS_Sniper's topic in F-15C for DCS World
This happens in TWS mode on busy servers. For some reason it started doing this a few patches ago. To fix this you need to close the game and come back. Must have something to do with memory. Doe snot matter how much you have. But some people have this issue and some don't. -
When flying Mach 1.2 and higher and firing at a maneuvering fighter from around 15kft / 20kft i noticed you can hit your target from around 8 to 10nmi effectively if the target does not force a over G situation. But that is the MAX you can hope for a kill shot. But if fired against a opponent that is not aware you shooting a AIM-7 and defends for AIM-120C you can hit them from around 12 to 14nmi in the same situation as above. Did it multiple times in one MP sortie. But that is more luck than wisdom. But if i want to be sure to get the kill with 1 or 2 missiles i shoot from the ranges IASGATG researched.

No you will not. If the AIM-7 in TWS is selected you won't get a solid circle and you can not see the aspect of the target related to that circle. You will probably be able to fire it. But never tried cause it won't guide anyway. If you switch back to STT it will show a big solid circle. A AIM-120 in TWS or STT will show a circle with gaps in between. He is correct. A target locked in TWS while AIM-7 is selected will show if you have no weapon selected in the HUD.

When will Blueflag be sold as a official Multiplayer mission for DCS World? This mission really deserves more than the others to be implemented as a default misson for DCS World when all the kinks are worked out. This mission is way more superior than all the other DLC campaigns that came out in my honest opinion. I would gladly pay 15 Euro's for this if needed. And this mission can be used for all existing and future DCS modules with minor editing. This is a true mission that does the name DCS World justice.

Did not notice any changes as well. They are still as easy to defeat as before.

I have the same. Controls feel sluggish. I don't know if it has to be like that. But for me it seems a little bit to much. Compared to the F-15 it's super slow in responding to joystick input. Same with the radar lock cursor. tried to speed it up a bit but no joy so far.

Hmm i'm not on open Beta or 2.0 and it works for me !!!!!

Welcome to the DCS aggressors squadron. Fresh and ready to learn a lot. Like and subscribe would help. See you guy's around. And please say hello :) WinchesterDelta1 Squadron commander.

If you or your wingman extends call out to where he is extending. So if you have to extend you know witch general direction to fly to. If you turn back in tell him as well. If you reacquire the enemy tell him witch heading. This is just a "stupid simple" explanation. There is way more to it. I have not mastered this myself. I'm not even close. With only one wingman can manage. But with 3 or 4 it gets even more difficult. Everybody has to listen to what the other say's and react appropriate on it. Don't go off engaging another guy if your wingman is in trouble. Everything within 20 miles is a high priority target. If to much enter. You both run. If your wingman has a good position and he is about to shoot him cover his surroundings by searching with your radar and visual. If visual is possible. If somebody comes in to kill your friend you can fire of a defensive shot or a kill shot. Depends on how close.
