Wow that would be amazing. I think most of us would love this.

I always carry two Sparrows. Love them. And it's a show of force for me to let the other bandit know i was totally in control of the engagement. And my shitty sparrow was good enough for a easy target like **put your name here** Haha :) I use the AIM-120C for the more dangerous situations. :) :) But in all seriousness. I carry it mostly for players that want to dodge AIM-120C's with high alpha maneuvering when it lost a lot of speed. And my second reason is that i don't want to fire a AIM-120C in ongoing dogfight or furball. And it's just challenging off course to fire one at a skilled player and see if it hits before you get downed. But lets all just carry the things we like if some one want to go SPAMRAAM. Why not... deal with it if you are the better pilot you going to defeat him anyway.

It's weird cause the only thing i can do when my wing has been totally blown away is trying to fly straight. Sometimes with enough speed you can still maybe get one or two maneuvers out do. At least that is my experience.

OMG... Was that AI or player? I had the same situation a week ago. Only with a MIG-29. That MIG-29 kept fighting me even after his wing was partially shot up. But the 29 has EFM off course.

104th Phoenix Dedicated Server Info
winchesterdelta1 replied to 104th_Maverick's topic in Multiplayer
Haha... I think i'm more of a amateur than you especially in the SU-27. my comment was more to show that for your request there are also other people that like to have a full tank at start instead of a half tank. For me especially cause for some reason i always drain that SU-27 way to fast. -

Hmm i always fly SU-27 with full fuel load. So for me it would be 2 minutes fueling it to full tank again. I use that fuel to go up high fast and run. -
I can't wait to fly modern fighters on this WWII map. Finally a European landscape.

Is the IP 192.168.0.8 a static IP? If so setup a static IP in your network adapter settings and for ward that IP.

Man.... yesterday there where some sneeky manpads placed somewhere random in a valley. After a great flight they took me down. I curse the people that placed it there. ... Man i was mad haha. Great stuff. Really unpredictable warfare.

That is the problem.. You donated and than expect things. It's you're own free will. you can not donate and think you can buy features. Or that they keep things in for you. It will be a mess very quickly. So a handful of people have VR and now you expect them to cater for that? It's nice if VR players can enjoy their hardware. But they should also keep in mind it's not always possible. It's not even fully developed. What i bunch of b*** h*** people in this post.... This game mode is a test. And as you might have figured out, DCS World is not really nice to MP play. So a lot of compromises must be made. If that makes you mad that things are being tested by adding or taking away features than don't play it. Simple as that. Be glad we have actually something now that looks like a dynamic campaign... I'm surprised this actually works to this degree. And a campaign like blue flag is actually what i suggested years ago. :)

Just get a 10 dollar stick. Seriously. Unless you are disabled or something off course.
-
But if you don't do that and you start them up than they go never on again. Unless you land and repair.
-
Yes i would like to know this.. What actually happens here.
-
I have seen this behavior before. I have a theory about this. It happens when you try several times to shut down and restart the engines. Maybe some power getting drained so the engines won't spool!! But you will still hear the sound. And even when the RPM gauge shows that your engines are running. they are not. (engine sound is also off). This happened to me several times when on the ground after trying to fast to shutdown and start the engines several times (i'm not sure how much). You can fix this by ordering a repair. After that the engines will start normally again. When this happens in the air in the close proximity of an airfield and you manage to land you can repair again to get it fixed. So my conclusion was that this was normal operation. That you somehow drain power for something that makes the engines start. And the game registers it as damage / needs new batteries or power. And to prevent this from happening in the future i just let both engines totally spool down before i attempt to restart them.

Terrain masking. Dive behind a hill or something like that.

Play with PRF settings and elevation settings. You will be as quick as the AI.

In one of the latest patch i hit a Mirage head on from 6 miles with a AIM-120C, it kept flying like nothing had happened. I don't think he even noticed. But it gets more crazy. I turned around and hit it with AIM-9. Now he finally notices. But is still able to fight. So after that shock he turned around for a missile on me. He missed and i turn back on his tail. Fired some gun rounds in him, and he still did not want to go down :( So i returned back home cause other people came to help him out. Was funny. To bad that never happens to me when i fly the mirage. And sometimes i do get hit but notice nothing. Only to turn around later to notice a hydraulic/fuel leak coming form my wing.
-
I got splashed by Mirages.. And got some good amount of splashes in the Mirage as well. My best was a 2 hour MP session with 8 kills and 3 deaths against different types of fighters. So yes it's pretty deadly when used correctly.

Tactics, tricks, combat formations and why those formations are good, communications :) (Not real world. But DCS tactics)
-
Really nice :)

I dont think the missiles became worse.. At least i did not notice any change. The only big change i noticed is that the MP pilots are becoming better and better in defeating them. And they are doing the right thing at the right time. Try to fly at different time frames and you notice this. In between 6 AM GMT and 5 PM GMT you need to do anything to survive and hit a guy. Around 6 PM till 5 AM GMT you can happily fly around killing up to 5 people in one sortie. Disperse them and kill them one by one. Now try that around 6 AM GMT and it becomes considerably harder to get up to 3 or 4 kills in a sortie. And a lot of times you just have to do with only 1 or 2 kills.
