Demistifying Eagle damage model
winchesterdelta1 replied to jackmckay's topic in F-15C for DCS World
I need to come practice with those guy's. Cause i always black out doing such maneuvers. And when i fight with 3 fuel tanks i can't maneuver and accelerate for shit. Please teach me Senpai. But i thought this post was about F-15 taking missile hits and then could still fly and survive. -
Demistifying Eagle damage model
winchesterdelta1 replied to jackmckay's topic in F-15C for DCS World
It seems it's a broader issue that doesn't only affect the F-15. Yesterday i tanked 3 missiles in the F-5 Tiger. At the third missile my left engine flamed out and my stabilizer was ripped in half. And i was still happily flying along defending the guy on my six. Until the 4th missile finished me of. I actually had similar things happen in any plane i flew. From FC to the full modules. So my conclusion is that it has nothing to do with only the F-15. -

Demistifying Eagle damage model
winchesterdelta1 replied to jackmckay's topic in F-15C for DCS World
I was flying my MIG-21 yesterday and took one AIM-120C and one AIM-9 hit. But nothing happened. No damage or minimum damage from what i could see. The circumstances this happened was the same as in the F-15, mostly happens when you do a high G turn when the missile is about to hit. Same hit sound was heard as when it happens in the F-15C. In my experience almost every hit on my F-15 is certain death.. or a death a bit later (unless i did that High G turn before impact as noted before). That was different a couple patches ago. So the biggest part of this bug seems to be fixed. -
That's a old tactic against less experienced players. Act like you don't see them. Then at the last moment turn in and fire at them. Most people will panic cause they expected not to have been seen. Also if the turn is sharp and quick enough there is a big chance you loose lock for a fraction of a second.. So the best thing you can do, is to ALWAYS expect that he has seen you. Unless you are 1000% sure. Also be ready to defend after your shot.

Which full sim modules you'd like in FC3?
winchesterdelta1 replied to Katmandu's topic in DCS: Flaming Cliffs 3
Lets hope the Apache never comes to FC4. Rather no Apache then a FC3 one. That beast should be a fully clickable module in my opinion. -
You have to wait a little bit longer for the engines to be totally spooled up. This happens when you try to take off or taxi right after you think you're engines are fully started right? The engine you start the latest will still need to catch up, even that the needle say they are the same RPM.

I heard it might also burns the chips before impact. Seems logical to do.

I heard the TALD will be available for the F/A-18C some day. I know how it works.. But what i do not understand is what happens when it has been fired and it has done it's mission. Will it self destruct if it hasn't been shot down? Will it fly back to a certain point to be picked up again? Or will it just crash land, with the added risk that the enemy can capture it and reverse engineer it?

Ow i thought you was the troll section? I was on the edge of enjoying myself with your post and kill myself. Jeebus... you argue like a conspiracy theorist. You take the scientific method on "question everything" to a new level. Mixing bullshit with actually good points to confuse people. You are like the governments you probably dislike yourself. If you are a engineer i might think twice getting into any vehicle. Cause that would mean even engineers don't follow scientific methods. -
It's not a layer of extra difficulty. It's basically the same how the poster explained in the SU-27 Flanker. In the Flanker all airfields have a beacon and you can go trough them. A lot of times i'm already using that for navigation instead of the F-10 map and the normal waypoint navigation. Also a extra layer of avionics doesn't have to be more difficult. Unless you think it's difficult to remember 4 or 5 more key presses.

Four Additional Flaming Cliffs Aircraft
winchesterdelta1 replied to Vampyre's topic in DCS: Flaming Cliffs 3
As i posted before in another topic i would love to see several changes in the FC4 module. 1. Add some more animations in the cockpit for buttons/switches. Like the switch you see animated in the SU-27 for wheel steering unlock. 2. Make a limited amount of buttons/switches clickable. Doesn't have to be much, just some important ones. 3. Add a simple MFD display. With some basic buttons/switches to switch trough it, or have it that you can just map that function to your joystick/keyboard without any clickable switches. 4. Simple controllable radio's even if we have to do it with key bindings. 5. Some love. I hope the FC4 package will include, 1 Russian modern jet with FC4 level air to ground capability, 1 jet that's not Russian or American, one bomber/strike aircraft for red and blue side. Or maybe a FC4 level chopper for the rotor heads if that's practical in the first place. I would not like to see different variations of other already created or future full fidelity modules. Also having the Apache as a FC4 module would be a great loss if that means that there is little to no possibility t have it as a fully modeled module. As much as i love the F-22 Raptor and would really like to try a FC4 level T-50 or F-35, i would rather save them for FC5 or 6. These planes would be to much of a game changer in the SIM. There is one plane i suspect that will be in FC4, and that is the F/A-18E/F. But that is pure speculation from my part. -
I think adding the airport names in the F-15 should not be done. Don't just go add things that aren't even in the plane simply for gameplay reasons. Also remembering the key's in FC are not that bad. 80% is on the HOTAS anyway. And all planes have basically the same key configuration, with some minor differences. So adding a couple more key's would not be a problem at all. What i would like to see: 1. Add some more animations in the cockpit for buttons/switches. Like the switch you see animated in the SU-27 for wheel steering unlock. 2. Make a limited amount of buttons/switches clickable. Doesn't have to be much, just some important ones. 3. Add a simple MFD dispplay.

[J-11A Bug] Please report J-11A bugs here
winchesterdelta1 replied to berk.kp's topic in Shenyang J-11A
Warnings are in English. It say's pull up, same sound clip as the F-15C instead of Chinees language. But maybe there is an option i did not choose for full chinees sounds? -

Did the SU-27 become more stable?
winchesterdelta1 replied to winchesterdelta1's topic in Su-27 for DCS World
Disregard. I accidentally hit autopilot. -
Is it me or does the Su-27 Flanker fly's more stable now? Similar to the SU-33 in the stable department. Or does Blueflag simply doesn't have any wind? I can actually put it on a heading and pitch and it stay's there. I did not touch my stick for 10 minutes and it just keeps going to where i pointed. Didn't trim anything. Not even after Take off. Before this, if i ALT-TAB to write this message it would have crashed before i could finish this. Is it supposed to be this way?

Which full sim modules you'd like in FC3?
winchesterdelta1 replied to Katmandu's topic in DCS: Flaming Cliffs 3
I think we have been answered on FC3... Or should i say FC4 aircraft. Q. Will we see survey modules again like FC3 for the casual simmer and especially 'The Century Series' Surely classic air frames are a market seller  – Mizzy A. FC4 with four more aircraft Flying Legends pack with 8 -12 aircraft …. ? Century fighters are a big deal and a period I absolutely love, but not priority no.1 at the moment. -
Just have patience. When it comes out as standalone you will have a nice and realistic flight model with it as well.
-
Unless it's a fake offcourse. Cause the description is kind of funny.

Somebody came across this in his DCS after the update. So it seems to come soonish.
