I would not advice to start with icons. You will get used to it very fast and it's hard to get un-used to it later. As somebody already suggested, just put unlimited fuel/weapons and god mode on. Then rince and repeat.

I don't really care to much about long loading times. As long as i get in. And as long as i can ALT TAB to do other things or press ESCAPE to stop the loading any time i want. A certain mil sim game had the same issue. And this solution about pressing ESC to stop the loading was first answered with that that it would not be possible. But voila... After some time mil sim 3 could exit the loading at any time. Saves a lot of frustration. This loading dance i need to do every time to join a MP server is driving me crazy. I'm glad to hear you pro's are working on it. I will be playing Squad till then (i probably still be tempted haha).

How more system fidelity in modern planes like this, how more easy it gets to kill things. As long as you know how to operate all those goodies. You will have more options and more SA.

You don't really need the key anymore. It now detects your modules when you login with your ED account when the game starts. Then go to module manager and click install FC3.

Do you ever fly Multiplayer on public servers? And what is the most exciting non aircraft feature you can't wait to tell us about, in the not so near future of this SIM.

I do not know how it is now. But some updates ago it's very easy to pick up choppers with the F-15. Fly at 40k and scan low and you find them 90% of the time from ranges up to 70 to 80 miles. No GCI or AWACS needed for that. I actually only had issue's keeping track of them at closer range.

Please this. I kind of like flying at night. But it seems a lot of people don't like it at all. This causes the server to be empty at times where it actually should be busy. Also. When can we expect some testing with Combined Arms unit commanding. Or convoy's that actually move around? Or is that to early for this feature to be implemented? -

So what for high fidelity SIM are those "smart" people playing now? Please tell me.. i might leave DCS for that as well. Ow i'm sorry.. They can only go back to truly arcade sims with even more bullshit hidden under some nice gameplay. They probably did not like an true sims anyway in the first place and only came here to satisfy their gaming needs. Yes the damage model is kind of BS, but it's also one of the most difficult things to get right, unless you implement shortcuts. But then it gets even more arcade just to improve gameplay. And it seems that arcade is the thing you really despise. But if the arcade part is hidden by using shortcuts you will suddenly like this game more? As long as you don't know about it right? And conforms with how things should behave like you want.

No. You confirmed the Sparrows effective range at 12 miles. Maybe read more careful. Directly from your link: "The AIM-7 Sparrow medium range missile (MRM) was purchased by the US Navy from original developer Hughes Aircraft in the 1950s as its first operational air-to-air missile with "beyond visual range" (BVR) capability. With an effective range of about 12 miles (19 km)" Also it's Wiki. So you did not confirm anything at the same time. Don't get detailed military facts from Wiki. Especially not for aircraft and missiles. The only way ED can satisfy people like you is to copy and paste Wiki performances so it aligns with your reality. Otherwise you will call them biased. A tell tale sign you have no clue so you just make up conspiracy's. ED missiles are in no way not perfect, but still comes closer to reality then your understanding of it. IF they would model it like you/wiki wants and use shortcuts for the missile physics to get to the end result you expect it would be more of a game. But they actually try to put in the real numbers as far as that is possible in the engine with the available but hard to come by information. Also in MP people like me pull the most crazy manoeuvres all day to defeat the missiles. In real live i would probably be death before the missile even reached me. I suggest you read all the other 100 posts FULLY about this topic. Then you might finally understand how a complicated issue this is. -

Might it be possible to put a 90 seconds cool down when Choppers place manpads. It's kind of annoying that every time they are under attack they just land place the manpads. After the guy is shot down they pick them back up and are on their married way. A cool down would be fair right? It's just an idea. -
That is exactly the reason why the warm up was added. The F-15 has that warm up as well.

Is it possible to change the color of the chat when you talk on side channel or on Global channel. Example: 1. If you are on Red the side channel color will show RED and when talking on the global channel to everybody it will be BLUE or another color. 2. . If you are on Blue the side channel color will show BLUE and when talking on the global channel to everybody it will be RED or another color. Right now when you talk your chat will always show as ORANGE. This makes it really hard to distinguished if you are talking on side channel or to everybody. Or maybe i'm missing something all these years and you can actually distinguish some how on witch chat you talk. Except for the slider thing. But after you send the chat you can't distinguish anyway if you go out of text mode.

Is it possible to fix the fact that switching audio devices forces you to reboot the game before it picks up on your new audio device. It's kind of annoying when you are on speakers first but then start up DCS to figure out that you can't switch the headset mid game. It won't provide any audio to the headset or visa versa when you switch over when DCS is already started. Thank you for your understanding.

Seems that it's also with AIM-120C. Hit him first with AIM-120c only poof. But he was good. Then AIM-9 and again AIM-9 to finish him. It seems this happens when the missile comes from his rear end in an chasing shot. Any other shot causes is mostly catastrophic damage. -
More and more people report a issue with the sidewinders or maybe the damage modelling. Yesterday i fired 4 AIM-9M Sidewinders from my Harrier at a Flanker. All 4 missiles hit! First two missiles i fired did minuscule damage. Rear aspect 1.5 miles away. First missile he did not maneuver at all. Second missile when he knew what was going on he did maneuver a bit, but not adequate enough. He could still fly normally. Two last missiles did enough damage to to make him smoke and to see parts flying from his plane. But he kept flying with barely no issue's. Next day i was flying the F-15. I got hit by a AIM-9 and had only minimal damage. I could feel the hit and see the explosion and should be a goner. But had no problem continuing with "all systems" still working. But i did had to trim out my plane a bit. Back at base the repair function did activate so i really had some damage. Is this normal behavior?

This harrier is more fun then i ever imagined. I only flown one other aircraft twice since it came out. These are the planes i'm waiting for. Fast, agile, modern and strike capability's. I'm very glad i bought it.

Yes me and Zombiesnax did. We wiped out half a airfield SAM defenses, radars and launch platforms with sidearm and Mav's. One go's in as bait to lure them out the other targets them with Mav's or sidearms. You can consistently defeat SAM's from close range with the harrier. The only hard part is maybe finding the manpads. But you can just bring a A-10C for that job, it's more easy to find them with that plane and to mob everything up. -

Ahh the classic off bore-sight shot. They can be painfully shameful when you don't expect them. Ow well at least you did not have a R-73 do a 180 on you yet. -
