Simple question - worth buying? graphics dont look anything special compared to other Flight sims but there seems to be a massive community which is a big plus (won't leave this one behind dont worry about that :P) Also its claimed to have best flight model but i can't see or read the proof without playing (even then i wouldnt know) Haven't heard much about it and wondered what you guys thought? they aren't going to release a new version soon by any chance? wouldnt want to pay only to find its outdated? thanks

Seeing as no one else has commented - the lights are good, though either the texture is misaligned or the lights are VERY slightly. Not enough to bother me but i'm sure someone will demand you change it. I definitely like the new cannon :) its the little details that have a big impact.

Remember the film 'Die another day'? i don't recall the adverts in that making it any good - the film itself seemed to just be an advert for the whole bond franchise anyway rather then a film. I'd rather ED sourced the funds elsewhere, by making a good series of games as they already are perhaps?

This model doesnt replace other models does it? We should make a long wishlist of things we want so the model makers like MBot can choose stuff off it when they want to do a project.

Is there a way the community could add in some model set like that? worth a try because ED wont add it for a long time.

The grill was made awhile back i thought? As for the mesh is not just for taking off on dirt strips and only installed in those circumstances?

Would there be any difference in sound? surely if the canopy is being buffeted by air particles traveling at supersonic speeds (in relation to the canopy) then the wind friction volume would increase at supersonic speeds?

If you did use different AFMs for different speeds though you couldn't just switch on a switch to change the AFM as it were - the transition is not instantaneous. Its all to do with where the subsonic and supersonic speeds are on different parts of the aircraft in relation to each other. The overall plane speed might be just below Mach 1 - this would mean below the wing the speed is sub sonic but above the wing the speed could be supersonic. This changes the flight a lot around the transonic stage and if accurately modeled chances are you would need plenty of different AFMs - a dynamic AFM of some sort would be better I guess. Depends how accurate the modelling is I guess.

The best at cooking of course - the typhoon has better heating power but would probably overcook the food...

You going to release some kind of new AI scripting but want to make it more dramatic? If so what else could you script? decent AI maybe? :P

The eagle hunting the bear is a great picture - love the arcing tracer! that space picture from Celestia yes? what earth texture you using? im upgrading mine to 128k virtual texture now i have the space.

Whilst the F14 was an immense plane with many fans (inc. me) it needs replacing - the fact is it IS old whether you like it or not. ...and despite all the stories of the 'cat being so powerful and renowned that migs would dash for cover as soon as they realised they were being tracked 100miles off the tomcat had a very low kill count which in government terms shows up as bad even if it was a good deterant. As for the ability to hunt down incoming missiles - well its been replaced by far better radar and missile/gunnery systems onboard the ship. its just like the sabre-tooth cat, whilst its very impressive it eventually evolved into something else. my opinion is - its had its time

I was thinking of buying FSX but everywhere i read about it people always complain about the lack of playability due to needing a 'super computer' Although the demo runs fine for me i also heard the demo isnt representational of the real game so would anyone happen to know how well it would run on my system? heh you say that yet all I hear is people whining about people being rude :P seriously let them be rude becuase they offer ideas and requests - Walmis can brush most of it aside himself and choose what information he sees as useful. ah right - don't have a trackIR YET... but every time i change any option i have to change the aspect ratio to fit my wide screen which is a nuisance

yeah left the shift on 50% and kept dead low - both those worked well seems curve is the important bit. Will keep experimenting more as well. Thanks for the advice both of you. Still need to choose a plane i like most and settle with those controls

hehe just noticed an awesome feature of your model Walmis! was out hunting choppers training my self up (havent played for months) was gunning down a hind when it opened fire on me - yeah i got shot down :( BUT i did notice the damage model! the nose got torn off revealing the radar beneath! awesome to me anyway - hopefully wont be seeing it much anymore though :P

Since i got my new computer and uninstalled LOMAC on the old one i have lost my joystick response settings Could anyone tell me what settings they use for their X45 preferably for airdisplay type flight (worked best for me) thanks
