Click- and Customizable Radio Menu for DCS World
Rider1 replied to PeterP's topic in Utility/Program Mods for DCS World
Hi Peter. I am having an issue with the Win R command to get it to work. I have the files installed and ran the script. When I use WinR All I can here is the open run box menu sound in the back ground, and the menu items remain unclickable. Any ideas. This is for version 1 Single head, normal setup. Thanks! Edit: Right mouse click on radio options. Doh! -
We ran into this tonight, DCS World. No Helios or external MFDs.. Anybody found a way to fix this in game yet? Thanks!

The odd LOD thread! Report LOD inconsistencies here.
Rider1 replied to Corrigan's topic in Object Errors
Mustang, you have been a huge support and have done countless of little fixes.. LOD fixes model fixes, visuals, sound fixes, tweaks etc.. Are these fixes going into the next patch? I know they are not show stoppers, but they are fixes of incomplete work that really should to be addressed in an ED release.. Or, are we on our own to just keep a "Mustang Folder" with all of your work and sort through and apply each fix with each consequent install of the new official ED world/module version release? Thanks again for your efforts. -
Having set my connection speed to LAN has greatly diminished the frequency I had been experiencing this issue..

ED SIMS SCREENSHOT AND VIDEO THREAD!!!! (NO USER MODS OR COMMENT)
Rider1 replied to rekoal's topic in Screenshots and Videos
Yea, Ralfi, I posted your video up on the 9th forums for the guys to have a look at. Your video makes it look a pretty damn good. We had fun playing it too. It played in World but the audio dialogue was missing. And we never got our beer and hookers either. I want my money back.. Oh wait..:) Addendum: Thanks Megagoth for the mission and hope you have a few more in the pipe for World. In return, I give you Mega Goth. One of my favorite bands. Enjoy. Can't release bombs in CCRP mode (track inc)
Rider1 replied to razorseal's topic in DCS: A-10C Warthog
Watched the track and it looked like everything was set up fine. When you see the MAN REL cue in the hud you need to hold down the pickle button. It takes a few seconds (one potato two potato three) for the bomb to come off. So just keep holding it. It looks like you may have hit the pickle button a few times? Edit. Watched it again and looked at your stick pickle buttonthis time. Looks like you just quickly pushed and released it. Gotta hold that thing down for a little bit :) -
Thanks! Single monitor, 1600X900, Menuwidth=400 is the sweet spot for me. Any luck on making these clickable again? Thanks!

That is so slick. Awesome!

Just got done watching the whole series. Really good behind the scenes into the life and training of the pilots. They were also pretty good in describing some of the more technical aspects of the jets, weapons and procedures. I think Reil makes a flight suit look good too :)

KA-50 CSAR and downed pilot extraction So there I was, down in enemy territory... I was Flying an A10 with a group of KA50s, escorting a convoy that had just rescued a downed F15 pilot. Things went wrong and I found myself being the one needing an extraction. I got on the radios and called for CSAR. A KA50, piloted by Crosser turned back, located my downed aircraft and was able to set down 20 yards from me. I ran over to his chopper and jumped on the wing stub. His chopper ingested a huge amount of sand and lost power, but he was able to get enough lift and roll us onto a nearby road and got us airborne with a running start. He was laying down suppressing fire with the me hanging on to the wing pod and my feet hanging out below. He got us both out of there and I definitely owe him a beer or two! -
Thank you for the video, Fish. I learned a few tricks. Definitely can see how EXP is the better mode as you described.

I remember trying to fly under a bridge in the Stearman, crashed, and I received a "Crashtastic" achievement or something along those line.. LOL. The Xboxers will probably find this boring without anything to shoot, and the simmers will find it boring soon enough without the compexity and depth we enjoyed in the Flight SIM franchise. This title feels like a swing and a miss, and time will tell if it quickly and quietly fades away into the xbox bargain bin.

Downloaded, played, satisfied my curiosity, uninstalled. 1 hour. I thought it looked great and ran well.. but no Track IR support. Sorry, but Track IR is a go/no go decision for me. I would describe the game as: Pilot Wings 2012. :)

Reminded me of the Star Trek where they go back in time to save the whales and the trawler shoots the harpoon and it bounces off of the cloaked Bird of Prey..:captain:

That's a pretty amazing force field technology that BMP is employing... When did they get that? :)

Mustang, I have the 6850. Fantastic card for the price. Had it for about 6 months now. Nary a white flashing box to be seen with any driver version or HDR setting. I think you will be pleased with the card. I was a able to use the AMD Overdrive utility to overclock it to the max allowable clock/mem speed of 850/1200 respectively. In the in the AMD control center, remember to tick the use application settings for the ones that DCS handles in game. The other settings, simply play with to find the sweet spot for your system.

Just tried it. That wasn't a very comfortable experience. Like my monitor was going bad or something. :) Plus, how would you ever hope to to make those precision gun shots with the pippers jiggling too? :joystick:

+1. Shakes head, and unsubscribes from unhappy whiny thread.

This is great news. ED has just raised the bar again. Some key points in Wags post in case some of you were blinded by your own shortsightedness. The P-51D will be the first aircraft in the Flying Legends series that focuses on historical aircraft that have set benchmarks in combat aviation. ...it has evolved into an independent product that adds an all new dimension to the DCS universe. The development of the P-51D and other Flying Legends series aircraft definitely does not preclude the continued development of modern aircraft. ED is going to own the air combat sim market from here on out. I would bet there are very few warbird aficionados that are going to pass at the chance to fly these beautifully handcrafted, simulated to the Nth degree airplanes that ED are capable of releasing...
