feedback Great Campaign! (and one question)
Andartu replied to Andartu's topic in A-10C Iron Flag Part I Campaign
Thank you for the response I'll have a look Saw your meetup with Mooch, hope you had a good time -
So is it possible to turn that text scaling off while zooming in and out? If not not it is really needed.

No i did see them and participated in some. All good, i was not complaining. Just observation of what was posted over all the time and what the main direction of the wishes of the customers is. And the project manager demand obviously differs a lot from the customers demand, and this is not that fortunate so to say. As said, just observation. I believe you have a similar picture. And yeah I am very well aware that complaining does not change things. Thanks
-
Well when I read all the posts in the last two years, in here and reddit, I would come to the conclusion that in this particular case the project managers do not and do not align with public demand at all. Like zero. After all this time seeing what the majority of customers demand, I would rethink my plan. Just saying Listening to customers and making them happy could be a very good direction (not pointed at you BN, you listen).

feedback Great Campaign! (and one question)

I have to admit that I never went through a campaign before, so it was my first one ever. Also bought Raven One a while ago but flew the Hornet over 1k hours, so I enjoy the Hog for now, which was my first module in DCS years ago. And I had a great time! Thank you very much for this Baltic Dragon Learnt a few additional things and had a very great and immersive experience. Wonderful voice-overs, was able to immerse myself into the role of the learner driver that comes back into the A-10's pit. One question aside though. How did you set up the pre-planned UHF radio presets in the ME? -
Thanks I'll have a look later.

Hello. Short question: Is it somehow possible to set an ADF emitter to a ship?

Hey you opened the thread just 15 days ago, ask again next year

I like Tromb -
I meant the C-17A not the C-47 I missed that on the roadmap cause the Globemaster is also one of the most ugliest AI models. But yeah C-47 too Also sorry for going off-topic too much (kinda annoying when starting a topic and people start to talk too much about other stuff all of a sudden), so Abrams yes
-
And how I was looking forward for an overhaul especially to the S-3B and SH-60B, stupid me. Also missed the C-17 on that list. A lot of assets need that, everyone knows that

Splash Damage 2.0 script (make explosions better!)
Andartu replied to Grimm's topic in Scripting Tips, Tricks & Issues
Was my bad, did not re-added the script, just change the file in its location. Now it works, no more text. Thank you! -

Same since the update. Vaicom actually helps sometimes. It's like after 2-3 tries it kinda brute forces the rearm menu to open since the key does not work anymore on a mission start. But once that happens the problem is gone and the key works again. Weird stuff definitely. And annoying since you are dependent on the menu when using CTLD for moving troops. Also somewhere I think I've seen this already mentioned I believe. Seems to be a new Huey bug.

Hello. Just found this mod and I really really like it! Gives me fantastic options to build up FOB's, especially for the upcoming Apache. Me and a friend who runs the server we fly on have a little problem. The mod is in my Saved Games/mods/tech, in his and also on the server. But for some reason the assets do not show up when running a mission on the server. No problem in SP though. Any suggestions?

Honestly, you maybe should go right more often to practice it. If you do it right you won't notice the wake at all, at least only to a minimum. But basically it is quite easy to stay completely out of the wake. You always approach the drogue from below. And it doesn't matter if it is the left or the right one. There is really no difference aside from the looks that are unusual cause most of the time you go left. What you notice when you are coming up right behind the drogue just before contact is a minimal wake that wants to pull you to the fuselage of the tanker. That you can just counter with a bit of trim to make your life easier.

Well the major problem with all this is: You are both right EA is the only way to get the money to keep the wheel spinning. Also this wheel needs more and more money in cause of more demanding customers. And yes for sure, I am one of them. It is as everywhere and always about the little things. I mean it would be such a great surprise and I bet the community would be thankful when there suddenly something like night wands (as an example) would appear in the next update. The "shut the front door, holy moly, nice, finally!" posts would be endless. Just for that. You really got the picture BN. The Air Boss station and briefing room are not really what the majority is waiting for. They are nice and cool, no doubt great to have. But not the big thing of importance right now. Then there is the response with the greater plan behind them and they are something like the basement for further upcoming things. Ok I buy that, all fine. I believe you. But still with my non coder, no knowledge about what is going on behind the scenes - uneducated guess: Night wands cannot be dependent on these major features that are shown in the list. And they are so important and heavily needed for the daily gameplay. Super Carrier module owners (yes granted, counts of course for all modules) really need another candy drop every now and then, then topics like this wouldn't be so consistent. Not publishing every new info immediately to the community is totally right in cause of the danger of the potential blame if things don't work as intended, but I wish you CM's would have a bit more freedom of what you are allowed to tell us. Decision makers would make our all and their lives so much easier. But this counts for every Developer.

Sorry really no offense! This is only for non VR, cause this would be a different beast. There are literally years full of posts, here, reddit and other forums that say RAM RAM RAM and SSD. And then coming in here and showing 16GB of RAM and asking why something in DCS does not run appropriate is kinda weird. I mean really, just a tiny tiny research would give you tons of recommendations that 32 GB RAM (or even more but 32 is fine) and running DCS on a SSD is the gold standard for DCS. Especially for MP, especially for Syria or Marianas. Even in SP you would notice it is worlds apart from 16 GB or even lower. DCS in its current state demands RAM more than everything else. I run a very low end machine. Heck I just have an i5 with 2.80GHz and a EVGA GTX 970. Everything runs greatly smooth for me (as said, pancake with trackIR). Even big MP sessions with lots of units and and high traffic. Guess what? 32GB (3200 MHz) and a dedicated SSD for DCS. This "I have a fat CPU and GPU, so things should be fine" thinking is absolutely misleading when it comes to DCS. Again really really no offense, but to me it's sometimes crazy how people missed that info.

Because of that I made it part of the start-up to set it to the max WP59. Wrong behavior I know, but the Home Fuel warning always annoyed me. I rather live with the FPAS advisory than with a Master Caution going off in the groove. I monitor fuel all the time anyways.

Hmmm with "Overcast and Rain 3" on Marianas Map at around afternoon I've got a Case II.

Hello everyone. Me and a friend have a problem regarding the visibility of liveries of AI flights. We fly on his server. We have several liveries made by myself or from the user files for us and AI flights like the tanker, or some aircraft of the military aircraft and the civil aircraft mod. The liveries attached to our own planes work fine, of course we both have them installed, all good. However the ones of the AI craft don`t show up. DCS only provides the default liveries. Also here of course both of us have them installed. In a desperate thought we also installed them to the server, while I believe this is actually not necessary. Only clients need to have them as far as I know. Anyways, it does not work. Only default liveries on the tanker and several others I made skins for. No problem in single player. Anybody?
