Fair enough. So in the end we -should- get them.
-
Erm oops.. the blindness was strong in me in this case then  I´ve definitely just looked at the statics on the bridge, Airboss station and addable LSO models. But this is also true. I see that it is not the biggest issue in DCS of course. All in all there also shouldn´t be the need for discussing diversity in any forum in 2020 anymore.. But unfortunately it is so...
-
Also we have what.. six different LSO models? ..and non of them is black. Altogether there are no black people on the whole Supercarrier module.......:noexpression:

I don´t know. Maybe we have one here who knows that? Can´t you take your NVG´s in a bag in the cockpit with you for later use (IRL)? I do like to have the option in flight too. Especially JHMCS with NVG´s together was sometimes very useful ( I do like it when everything is correct as IRL and yes this is not, but it was nice anyways). This is also a really weird change to be honest. Especially cause it changed for all modules in the sim as far as I noticed..

+1 .. btw does anybody know if the USMC Legacy Hornets that are still in service utilize the GBU-54? Did not find anything after a (very) quick google search, but maybe here is someone who knows that.

You linked the "Local Time Bug" vid.

Right, press once turns off Master Caution. Second press rearranges advisories. As said, it does not hide or delete Advisories. You only can delete Cautions or Advisories by solving the advised problem. If there is none anymore, the problem may vanished, but of course it is possible that it comes back under certain circumstances.
-
To sum up what others said: 1. Hold Master Caution. It will not delete, but will rearrange Advisories and Cautions (clears out free spaces in the line for advisories that are not longer present). 2. Simply do not put the SA page on the left DDI. For the Same reason you do not put your Radar page on the left DDI. SA normally is set to the AMPCD.

AI aircaft ED MUST have redone with the release of this map
Andartu replied to FoxOne007's topic in DCS Core Wish List
I think it would be totally ok to draw a big red circle around the whole thing :D -
So what's your critical opinion on the new map
Andartu replied to twistking's topic in DCS: Syria Map
Exactly this. Aside form the performance and render distances of trees and buildings my only complaint on the map for now. -
Not a popular opinion, but I share it. No interest in two seaters in cause of this. Without any disappointment only usable with a real RIO/WSO. The AI is another topic though :noexpression:

Loved the Hornet since I was little. It always was to me what the Tomcat is for others (yeah sorry, not hard feelings please :D ) I like the Viper, but nevertheless.. Hornet!

+1 Case III and especially JTAC 9-lines are a bit fast and the text line is shown too short. Not sure now, is there an option to set the time for the radio text to show up? Also maybe just an option (as a easy quick temporary solution) to set the text to stay and only disappear after a set keybind (at least for non VR users). At least for ATC and JTAC comms. So you can read and set up everything and then hit the button to clean up the screen.

So what's your critical opinion on the new map
Andartu replied to twistking's topic in DCS: Syria Map
Yes to the thing with cities. When you want to set up some realistic missions. So they are just eye candy for me but not part of missions. There is no way you run strikes on Haifa, Damascus, Beirut or all the other well done cities in a realistic environment. Of course this counts only for my style of doing things. And for this style in my critical opinion the map is great :) I set my missions mostly half realistic within 2015 (half realistic cause Navy F/A-18C in 2015.. love the legacy Hornet but gimme the Rhino! Maybe in 20 years.. :D) in a Operation Inherent Resolve like theater. Around 2015 ISIS was very present in Syria (Especially around Raqqa, Manbij, Palmyra and several areas in the desert) That means doing strikes and CAS missions in the dessert. This maybe sounds boring :D But not for me. And yes it is mostly JDAM, Paveway and Laser Mav deployment like IRL :D It still results in around 3 -4 hour sorties. So no wasted desert.. in my humble opinion. And Air war? There is no actual Air to Air war in Syria. A bit teasing around, but nobody actually fires a missile. As said, only my way, cause I like it historical realistic as possible. Also means a lot work in the editor with many units and triggers. -
Oh dear they are not able to manage the existing commands and spend their whole lives in full burner and attack everything with guns :D But seriously, yes more options would be nice.

EXT XFER caution is displayed when it shouldn't
Andartu replied to BarTzi's topic in Bugs and Problems
EXT XFER Caution by NATOPS also: ---- • One or more external tanks failed/slow to transfer when commanded. Icing may occur in the external fuel tank pressurization system inhibiting external tank transfer and refueling. Descending and accelerating may reduce the effects of icing. External fuel available but not transferring. On F/A-18C/D aircraft, selecting ORIDE on both EXT TANKS fuel control switches may inhibit centerline tank transfer. Corrective Action: Perform the following steps while monitoring fuel transfer, tank quantities, and lateral asymmetry - 3. EXT TANKS switch(es) - ORIDE 4. EXT TANKS switch(es) - CYCLE to STOP and back to ORIDE 5. EXT TANKS switch(es) - NORM 6. PROBE switch - CYCLE 7. Apply positive and negative g. 8. F/A-18C/D only: FUEL page/SDC - RESET If practical - 9. Descend below freezing level and repeat steps 3 thru 8. 10. If below 10,000 feet MSL, BLEED AIR knob - CYCLE THRU OFF TO NORM 11. LDG GEAR and HOOK handles - DOWN 12. LDG GEAR and HOOK handles - UP 13. Perform in-flight refueling. If/when transfer complete but prior to landing - 14. EXT TANKS switch(es) - NORM If external wing tank fuel trapped - 15. Ensure lateral asymmetry within limits for landing. FOR CARRIER LANDING If centerline tank is still over 500 pounds - 16. Divert or SELECT JETT tank. ---- EXT XFER actually always occur when refueling above 20.000ft (in sim). I think in cause of the icing. At least in my case.. as soon the external tank/s are refueled a bit, it usually disappears. I am still not sure if this behavior is correct though. Cycling EXT Tanks switch does nothing. -
A part of Aleppo from 26000 ft at around 1.30 AM. Static weather, no clouds no something. Zooming in and out let the lights also fade in and out. Not the case with PG for example. There also the details getting better zoomed in (but not with such a difference like on the Syria map), but not the lights of the cities. Dubai´s lights are visible from far above and from long distances :noexpression:

Holy smokes, a simple and great idea

[REPORTED EARLIER] Refueling Probe Light Issues
Andartu replied to Jself's topic in Bugs and Problems
Weirdly now it works. It is quite bright on the basket but acceptable. Definitely better than no light and refueling with NVG´s and get blinded by the tanker lights.
