  1. Now, when you put it like this... you are damn right... Thanks for the perspective Cowboy!!! Somehow I lost it, being part of those unhappy little naggers... So, thanks Eagle Dynamics for making this scarse software/videogame/simulation genre, you people trully are the stream of life in a wasteland... :cheer3nc:
  2. Last night we trained the overhead... Ingress was at 300kts (75% FAN RPM), 3G turn with minimal or no altitude loss, throttle cut on rollout (pretty high speed - 270kts), gear down, look left - wintip slide over runway and just the moment it slips off the runway into the final turn bleeding it some more with 1.8G, 60° bank and just a little less then 5° degree descent... Looking constantly to the runway and sharpening the turn as required... This gives us usually a rollout on runway heading of arround 150kts, then goes brakes and flaps and Jack is your uncle... One thing that remains questionable is gear down speed threshold... What is the exact highest speed you can let 'em gears down? If 270kts is too fast, throttle in break should be less then 75% i guess...
  3. Uf... was sceptical about all this World/Mustang stuff... but, downloaded and flew the SU-25T for a while, and guess what??!? I just couldn't get enough of it... ha ha... this is going to be fun, good work ED, damn fine work after all this silence and waiting... And yes, the explosions kick ass!!!
  4. Doesn't have the "speed per buck" to be bought if you ask me... :D
  5. Did anyone have JTAC or LGB lasing problems in Operation Liberator during multiplayer sessions on our MBP Pajceki Server? I'm asking to check out if it was just me or maybe a common problem in the mission...
  6. Hm... let it up last night again and it lasted for just an hour... don't really get it... I submitted a crash log... I'm sad... :(
  7. Ha ha... just went through the Tacview... never even noticed there were Migs or the moment when Mi-24s returned to Mozdok... so much was going on, luckily we were angels 18+ :)
  8. I had Core2Duo E8400 clocked to 4Ghz and then the CPU was dying, while 6950 2GB never crossed 80%... Then I bought Core i5 2500K clocked it to 4.4Ghz and the situation reversed - now the CPU never crossed 30%-40% on any core and the graphics card was dying at 100% load... LOL... now I should have bought a stronger graphics card but due to financial crap by the world around, had to go for a 6770... and sell the 6950 one (which had the shitty white flashing boxes anyway)... Now I play on a little lower settings with HDR off, and get the same shitty 25 FPS on takeoff and 30-50FPS ingame... as with the 6950... bah... there is no good combination... u can wait for it to get 10 years old like Lock On and then you will be able to play it "fluently"...
  9. First of all thx to the wargamelabs.com crew for making this great mission! Few nights in a row my squadron tried to fly this mission but the poor server (MBP Pajceki) always broke up at the moment we cleaned air defenses and should have started to have fun with them defenseless armour units... (not to mention all sorts of breakups during other training sessions). So, I decided to do a clean reinstall of 1.1.1.1 directly in root foolder ("C:") and deleting the Warthog folder from Saved Games... cause the server was continously upgraded from 1.1.0.7 forwards and was in Program Files, it even had some slmod beta on it. Tweaked the options a little to disable 3D rendering and stuff... And the result is ALMOST 11 HOURS OF STABILITY AND COMBAT PLEASURE!!! :punk: I woke up in the morning, connected with Teamviewer and was astonished to see it alive... then unpluged the tired ol' biatch... (Core2Duo 3Ghz, 4GB DDR2 and 90Mbit Down / 70Mbit Up link) So big thanks to all who flew the mission last night! Here goes complete Tacview Record :pilotfly:
  10. THX 4 the TS server!
  11. I see we went slightly off the flak explosion topic... so, are there any suggestions about changing the explosion model or we call this topic closed...?
  12. But can they be changed by a simple file rename for my personal pleasure while flying singleplayer... some .lua .ini geeky stuff maybe? ...cause I want them skies to burn arround me while I rip them tank cans apart... get it? Not related in any way to realism or unit types ingame... I want this type of thing beneath me, to scare the crap out of my titanium tub: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aCFEpsFFcqA :pilotfly:
  13. I noticed when the ZU-23 units fire on you there is a small explosion in the end of their ammunition flight path... Is there any way to make the exlosions more visible and to maybe make their smoke remain longer in the air... it would definitelly add to the suspense over an heavily AA defended area... and of course, fear of flying over such an area... :joystick: In every air combat book I read, AA could be detected by smoke and flashes on the ground, and there was always like talk of rounds burst altitude...
  14. Great scenery the Nalchik mission... Great voiceover! But somehow, the lads that flew with me crushed their teeth on them Tunguskas... :megalol: I took a "cosmetical" hit, landed, repaired and brought'em back hell!!! :gun_rifle:
  15. Use this... it's great! http://files.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/38426/?sphrase_id=117194
  16. Where did ya bring it from ol' chap? :smilewink: And yes, the patch you actually need is "the next one", the same one we all need... :megalol:
  17. It must be the global financial crisis... they just couldn't afford enough people to count the rocks in real life to make it as realistic as it should be... :music_whistling:
  18. Can someone explain the maths on DCS Warthog's on ED shop cost of 28$ being 33€ on Steam? Please, enlighten me...
  19. Come on guys... 20 squadrons in event and no comments on altitude measuring? :(
  20. One of the most beautiful questions I have ever seen my friend... We have by now done VLD & LALD by AGL radar... HADB & MAT by pressure altimeter...
  21. All is well until the moment comes, when the wife opts for the dual throttle... inlieu of the stick... :music_whistling:
  22. Courtesy of our proud clan leader - Kenan, inspired by his newest acquisition... :D:D:D
  23. BUMP  (sorry, just couldn't stand the same nick by the topic for such a long time...)
  24. How can we postpone something that doesn't have a fixed date? :music_whistling: I think we need that POC meeting soon... :smilewink:
  25. I confirm the consistency of inconsistent crashes on our side too... ...maybe we should consider some "recovery slots" for the competition if a flight member disconnects due to software crashing or connection problems... Looking forward to the POC meeting... and of course, enjoying every bit of the Hawgsmoke trainings...
