Try both ways and see if you get tearing... also try tripple buffering on/off...
-
Yup, sort by ping and number of players... and maybe to be able to see on a small list window which players (by name) are on the server after you click on one, so you can find your flying comrades...
-
Khm... so you state the white flashing boxes are an ordinary "feature"...? :music_whistling: 12.1 preview and they flash happilly still...

I think it would be real nice if someone from ED finally explained why they gave up on any crazing, scratches or battle damage modelling on the canopy... Just say it... we'll understand... For example say: "It kills framerate like when you pass close on a smoke animation from a ground unit and it cuts FPS to 1-5... cause it's bitmap graphics and we still can't render it fast nevertheless you bought top of the line CPUs & GPUs..." How things stand now, there is only a big questionmark over my head: "Why is something existant in the Producer Notes videos been removed???"...:sad_2:

Merry Christmas to all at ED & the Community!
Aries replied to Heli Shed's topic in DCS: A-10C Warthog
Santa is a natural... he don't use no CCRP when cleared hot on those chimneys!!! :D EDIT: This morning I woke up, and the arrow from the knee was gone... I was able to make my own greeting card... so here goes... ;) -
Merry Christmas to all at ED & the Community!

Was just going to make a greetings card like Tyger's, but then I took an arrow to the knee... derelor, Skyrim it is then... :smilewink: Merry Christmas fellow wingmen!!! :cheer3nc: -
I am on 12.1 preview and DCS A-10C 1.1.1.1 and the white flashing friends are still with us...

HD6950 2GB, Catalyst 12.1 preview and DCS A-10C 1.1.1.1 and the buggers are definitely still with us...:helpsmilie::doh:

One of the nicest mission starts Druid, really enjoyed it... too bad for the F10 comms, I had to be on remote with the server so I could give my flight additional taskings... Is there any way of fixing that? Really great, dynamic tasks... THX!!! :smilewink:

Patched... all mods remained untouched... just had to replace the fella in red jacket splash screen... and a few buttons on the stick re-binded...

DCS: A-10C Tutorial Collection (PDF´s and Videos)
Aries replied to MemphisBelle's topic in DCS: A-10C Warthog
before it was just sweet... now it somehow isn't special anymore... drowned with the other stuff... :( -
Woooah... this baby runs much smoother... it feels really fine with this patch... And the best thing of all is it didn't touch any of my mods (Flare mod, HUD zoom for strafing mod, clickable radio mod)... I only had to re-add my two modifier keys on a X-45... 80% of the HOTAS bindings were also untouched... just a few buttons to set up... even my pilot log was preserved... Tested a little dogfight with few players over some lake with little AAA & SAMs... Now to the big MP mission test with my squadron... And yeah, RWR works like a charm... and the nice cockpit reflections are back (add crazing for once ED, please...)... Well done ED!!! Seems like this one will iron out all the despair of 1.1.10 :D ADDENDUM: Just flew OP Gridiron with my fellow wingmen... not a sigle glitch... everything went smooth... (if we ignore the fact that we all got shredded to pieces by the enemy, sooner or later... hi hi).

In Lockon I used to set a mission where two Ka-52 would defend a bunch of units , an incoming armour collumn and some SAM/AA in a city... ...I was the attacker in A-10A... man was I scared when those buggers would start to engage me with their AT missiles... not to mention of how many times was I shreded to pieces with their guns when getting a little too close... Can't really recall them being such adversaries in DCS A-10C... I miss that...

Hm, the four pilot version really needs the entire two flights firepower... our poor special forces dudes got waisted last night... ;) Ha ha... when the rumble starts, with all the tracers in the darkness of the night, one is rushed to commit all sorts of suicidal attack runs to save his brethren... Once again, great mission!!!

Check the file \Eagle Dynamics\DCS A-10C\Config\Export\Export.lua for the last few lines... maybe something is configured to run that is not available anymore... For example I fixed Tacview on my server yesterday by removing this line: dofile("./Config/Export/TARSExportA10.lua") from Export.lua, cause Tacview just wouldn't work... And I banged my head for two weeks, installing all known Tacview versions and fixed export scripts... Then at once it came on to me... Let's just check some logs from my saved games DCS Warthog Logs folder... et voila! Found out that something was wrong with starting the export scripts... Opened up Export.lua in Notepad++ and there it was, at the bottom, a TARS activation line sitting calmly, watching at me with it's innocent little eyes... And then the wrath of the allmighty Delete rained uppon it... (cause TARS was not installed on the server at alll!!!).

That's why I loved my Hog in "A-10 Cuba!"... Any Zeus that was brave enough to point a finger at me would so quickly be "in Harms way"... It was just a matter of spike "line" on RWR (some stronger, some fainter) and a press of the "H" key to choose the lucky AGM-88 contest winner...

Had same thing with F-16s in deephouse's mission Standby CSAR... they call some weird bulls offsets... like bulls 100 for 250 miles??? and also that stuff... vehicles bla bla, defending vehicles... and we're all like 35 miles from bullseye LOL...

Yup...link? :music_whistling:

Or the Nevada map... or a A-10C hotfix... or a official virtual Christmas Hog Drivers Party in red skins with Santa & Deers on the side of the nose... ;)

Yup!!! Successfully made the =RAF= Competition 2nd part recording that wouldn't come out without that annoying error... :cheer3nc:

Since I bought the home Tacview version, Vyrtouz sent me this "TacviewExportDCS.lua" as a result of my "cry" for help... ...it appears that DCS 1.1.10 has some sort of bug that breaks normal lua export scripting!?!? Try with this attached file (copy to \Eagle Dynamics\DCS A-10C\Config\Export\)... Hope it helps.... :smilewink: TacviewExportDCS.lua
-
That is the case on my server lately... thik I will just reinstall... for now I copy tracks back home & play them back in realtime... I think your only solution is a full clean game reinstall... Have you tried to delete all three files (Config.lua, Export.lua and TacviewExportDCS.lua)? Cause I think that's the ones that matter... bo!?!?
-
Added both competition Tacview records... 2nd part is some really cool Avenger mayhem... :)
-
Btw. does anyone get the "Unsupported file format" error while opening .acmi files lately... I bought Tacview home to grab the beta 1.1.1 release and I still have problems... AAARGH!!!
-
1. You have to turn on the recording in Tacview 2. Set the recording folder in Tacview 3. Then set read/write permission on \Eagle Dynamics\DCS A-10C\Config\Export\TacviewExportDCS.lua file 4. Edit the TacviewExportDCS.lua file with before mentioned commented lines (in Notepad++) 5. Save the file and reopen it to see if changes took place 6. Playback the desired track ingame in realtime (no fast-forwarding) 7. Look for the last (sort by date) *.txt.acmi file in Tacview recording folder 8. Open it and save it as .acmi (it will get a little smaller, optimized I guess) 9. Have fun!
