  1. But is it just the GPU or the slightly slower Intel aswell?
  2. Damn....we benched again on the weekend. It is so time consuming...
  3. https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:4666466 Might help you with that.
  4. Get fpsVR, it will help you a lot tuning your settings and finding out where the problem ist. Its absolutly worth the couple bugs.
  5. Thats it. I´ve never seen this before. Thanks mate.
  6. Try the G2 without the face cover/cushion and see if, with different lens-eye distance, the sweet spot and fov increases.
  7. Hey, after my game crashed and i start it i have this funny VR 3rd Person view with a Radar HUD. Where is that comming from and how to get rid of it?
  8. Since the RTX 3080 are already sellig at around 1000€ (in Germany) i highly doubt the prices will hit the MSRP in the next couple month. Even the RTX 3070 are 630€ to 700€.
  9. The SAM feature is not released by Nvidia, its just with AMD. Not sure, i think it was 7,8GB. Will all be more detailed in the next test that we will run probably next week.
  10. Thanks mate, we will have look into it.
  11. As written, it was a Pimax 8KX. We did way more testing than showed there. There are some results that dont fit and we have to verify them, but nothing shows at this moment that the 5600x nor the 5900x are limiting the performance. Next week we will test a lot more...different RAM setups and older hardware for comparison.
  12. Yes, a PCIe USB Card or a USB-Hub are reported to help. If you got an early model watch out to not crank it up above 85 or so. The ones failing with black screens are reportet to run at full volume. when they start blacking out just for a short period of time, set the volume lower. For me it sounded like its a too small capacitor or so. More Infos can be found on reddit.
  13. https://forums.eagle.ru/forum/english/reality/pc-hardware-and-related-software/7152636-amd-rx-6800xt-vs-nvidia-rtx-3080 there we compared those two with a pimax.
  14. Way more detailed testing in our second bench run over here! So we got the lucky opportunity to test both graphic cards in different hardware combination. I think there can be some conclusion drawn from these tests. The problem was that it was getting really late and we have a funny behavior with one constellation that we have to investigate. System 5900X: AMD Ryzen 5900X Gigabyte B550 Aorus Pro G.Skill Sniper 3600 CL19-20-20-20-38 Seperate SSD´s for Windows and DCS System 5600X AMD Ryzen 5600X Gigabyte B550M Aorus Pro HyperX 3200 CL16-18-18-18-38 Seperate SSD´s for Windows and DCS XFX AMD RX6800XT in the stock AMD design. It was testet in stock and with OC where the clock was increased to 2100Mhz and the Powertarget to 115%. SAM (CPU direct memory access) was activated. Gigabyte RTX 3080 Aorus Master 10G with Stock OC over the reference design. We testet it stock with 1845Mhz and OC with 1920Mhz. The archived clocks where actually higher but we didn keep track of that. We testet both Systems with a Pimax 8KX which has two native 4K pannels with 2x 3840 x 2160. The Pimax was set to the narrower field of view. I dont know which resolution the headset runs in that case. But the FOV is still way bigger compared to a Samsung Odyssey. The problem here was that SteamVR had different native resolutions at 100% and different ratios aswell. On the 5900x it was 3152x3160 and on the 5600X 3336x3948. We used Gyphis Benchmark File for testing. The first one with more CPU load. In all tests the graphic card was the limiting factor. With this settings and this mission the faster CPU didn't give an advantagte. We have other settings testet and there the AMD was way faster, but the results seem to be off. So we will investigate an test that again. Unfortunately that have also been the test where we deactivated SAM to see if it increases the fps. Very interesting are the frametimes which are way more consistent with the AMD card. (above frametimes for AMD) (above frametimes for Nvidia) My conclusions so far: With SAM and the drivers we have right know the AMD 6800XT is faster than the RTX3080 in DCS with very high resolutions in VR. The framestimes of the AMD are more consistent than with the RTX. Faster RAM timings are better than faster clocks. What we will test at a later point: SAM on/off Both PC´s with excact same settings (if possible we havent found a solution for the 100% resolution problem) RAM with fast clocks and timings RX 6800 non XT GTX 1080ti watercooled All graphic cards with an AMD Ryzen 2700
  15. Its just in the Beta, switched back and there it works just fine.
  16. 1645 with B550 board with PBO and some other settings. (3600 cl20) My 5600x does 1632 with PBO and some other settings. (3000 cl16) RAM timings are the bottleneck for CB atm. We will test next week how that translates to DCS performance.
  17. For the Rx we went with Stock settings and the other time with ram at 2150 and 15% increased power target. Bar was activated both times. Driver was 20.11.2. We played over an hour without problems. For DCS we used the standard VR graphics settings...will fiddle with that in future.
  18. So we testet today with a XFX Rx 6800xt. The card runs like a charm and I can't confirm any driver problems or funny behaviour with the boosting clock. We get over 70fps with a Pimax 8kx and a Ryzen 5900x CPU. We will do some benchmarks early on this week with 6800, 6800xt and a 3080 with ryzen 3600, 5600x and 5900x. Your Problems seem to be the overclocking. There are some channels referring to non boosting Rx cards with RAM clocked to more than 2150. You might want to check that.
  19. Yes you would need active adapters to use more than 2 Monitors on digital signals. Club 3D has some.
  20. Do you have the Steam or the standalone Version? Running Beta? Which drivers? My brother will get his on saturday, can test then.
  21. Have you tried without OC? I think Gamer Nexus did some tests and sometimes with higher clocks it was actaully slower. - Link should now work He shows different OC Setting with diffenrent results...realy good video.
  22. That would be amazing since it just can do 2500mhz with OC. Troll?
  23. Yeah well...when you got the screens turned on in your HP Reverb G2 without mixed reality, let me know. At least its funny how you ignore everyone who has more expertise than you do.
  24. It is. And in fact you need 3 software parts - Windows Mixed reality, SteamVR and windows mixed reality for SteamVR. It is excactly the same for all of the windows mixed reality headsets like Odyssey, G1 and G2. And you need SteamVR even to run Windows Mixed Reality Headsets with the DCS standalone version. https://www.windowscentral.com/how-use-steamvr-windows-mixed-reality
